My favourite place to trough at Epcot. We have to make a real effort to eat elsewhere and try new things. The communal tables can put somepeople off but I find it adds to the atmosphere, especially if you get swaying to the umpah band. The food is authentic though I think they could do with the ocassional change. German cakes look better than they taste. But the meat is always tasty, and ist amazing how many vegetables you can coat in mayo. The Becks is well kept and its worth trying the dark beer for a change. Go at lunch time as the menu is the same as night but a few dollars cheaper.
Even in this thread there are a variety of opinions and experiences. I can only go by what happened to me. The service was excellent and the CM did his upmost to ensure my wife and I had a good time. they made such a fuss of all the kids we were adamantthat on our next visit we would return. Yes the menu is not extravagant akin to the Hard Rock or Planet chains, both in quality and price. As for the setting that appears to be the one thing that everyone is in agreement on, its excellent.
GREAT PLACE TO EAT IF YOU LIKE SMOKED FOOD. IF YOU CAN GET AN OUT GOING CM AS YOUR WAITER IT CAN BE THE HIGH POINT OF YOUR TRIP. AS WITH ALOT OF WDW REST. IT DEPENDS ON THE WAIT STAFF TO MAKE IT SPECIAL.
I am so glad this chocolate is not WDW exclusive! It's so good...and I don't eat a lot of "sweets". I love it! I usually pick up a box of the milk chocolate squares, and a vanilla milkshake with a scoop of chocolate. Very good!
This is a fairly formal, French restaurant, with an upscale rendition of the food sereved downstairs in Chefs de France. Don't bring young children here -- They won't enjoy it and no one will enjoy them. Anyone not familiar with French cooking should try Chefs de France first. A cheese course is available after dinner, although to our surprise it was not on the menu. We had to ask about it. The menu was not just loaded with things we wanted to order, but the things we did get we enjoyed. The service was good, and we had an outstanding view of the fireworks. On the downside, it is expensive. We started with Kir Royales, got a bottle of wine, had appetizers and my wife had dessert while I had a cheese course. I think our bill came to about $230. For this price we could get two slightly less-fancy meals, which is what we will probably do next time. But Bistro de Paris was still very good.
My wife and I ate here and enjoyed it very much. Our reservations were for after the fireworks, so we sat at the bar and watched. I actually went out on the large observation deck, and in my opinion this is the best place from which to view. Any wine on the menu is available by the glass for one-fourth of the bottle price, so it is possible to try something new or to ask for wine pairings, which I like to do. The menu was a bit limited, with too much fish and not enough meat and seafood, in my opinion, but my wife and I both were able to order. She got the filet and I got the pork tenderloin and both were very good. Many exclaim over the high prices here, but I found them to be quite reasonable, perhaps less than I would expect to pay elsewhere for similar food. Certainly dinner for two with a couple of glasses of wine is likely to cost more than $100, but that's the case almost anywhere. We enjoyed the California Grill and will be back, although the just meat-and-potatoes might not like it here.
Although this place has very little theming, the service is good, and the desserts are GREAT! However the pan-Asian memu selections are a bit tedious. Not that the food isn't good, because it is, but the menu selections are limited. These observations are based on a Nov. 2002 visit. Back in February 2002 I ate here are remember the menu being a bit better, although this could be my imagination. I didn't eat breakfast here, but I have had the Tonga Toast through room service, and certainly it is worth a try for anyone.
There are games for the children which makes for a festive atmosphere, even if it means the children cannot be coaxed into eating their meal. Our service was poor. The appetizer tray is very good, but it is followed by nothing else but overcooked chunks of meat served from skewers. Really awful for the money when you get down to it. I understand the breakfast is good, though. However, I have been very disappointed twice, and will not return for dinner.
Located outside of the Enchanted Tiki Room and the Magic Carpet's of Aladdin, the Sunshine Tree Terrace is a must everytime I walk into the Kingdom. The Orange Yogurt swirl is more than likely my favorite dessert in all of Walt Disney World. A tradition for my family as we always have to get a couple before we leave the park, I suggest that everyone tries one of these wonderful snacks!
This place has very good food. I also like it because of all the TVs :D
I visited Boma because of the good things I had heard from people on these pages, and I wasnt dissapointed. The setting was excellent the CMs warm and freindly so even the wait to be seated was a pleasant experience. They had what appeared to be a good choice of wine, if a little expensive. The food was plentiful well presented and tasty. It was good to get the chance to try new dishes and the chefs were all very keen to offer their opinion and advice. An excelent dining experience and I for one will be back on my next visit.
The filet and lobster was delicious. It was our favorite meal in our 2000 trip. Beautiful setting and if you can't get the California Grill during the fireworks, try this place. The view isn't bad at all.
If was cheaper to eat a meal here than at Captain Cooks and twice as good. Great French Toast. A must visit for all Poly stayers and anyone else should stop before hitting the Magic Kingdom. Then jump on the monorail and enjoy the park.
I ate here for the character meal while the Crystal Palace is being refurbished. It is a prix-fixe menu and the food was average. It is a beautifully decorated restaurant and if you are in the outside part of it you can catch the afternoon parade. The bread and dip they bring out before you meal is sooooo good! (If anyone knows the recipe, please let me know.)
I have heard so many bad reviews about this place. I think it is the most amazing and uniquely themed restaurants I have ever been to. Anything I have ever eaten has been delicious and the milk-shakes are very good. And it is the quietest Disney restaurant you can find. A welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the parks. Definetly try it!
I've been to several Rainforest Cafe's around the world. They are all the same to me but I love them. They are a lot of fun and the menu is huge and has something for everyone. They have an alcohol drink that tastes like a chocolate covered bananna. Try it!!! I have heard about terribly long waits at the DD one, but we didn't wait at all on a Tuesday afternoon in the beginning of October.
I love this place. It is very crowded and we waited even with priority seating, but I would definetly do it again. Our chef was a lot of fun. He joked around about our local sports teams. They give you a small salad with ginger dressing(that is the only thing I did not like). We got steak and shrimp and it was delicious. They give you white rice and vegatables too. I am getting hungry just thinking about it. MMMMMMMMMM... You are seated with other parties. If that makes you VERY uncomfortable you may want to skip this place.
I really enjoyed this restaurant. The fetucinni alfredo was delicious. They bring over the desert tray after dinner (which I think should be illegal because it is to hard to say no once you see these things). The tables are very close together like in traditional Italian restaurants. I highly recomment this place. (It is a bit pricey at dinner.)
If I were to use 2 words to describe this place it would be "fancy schmancy". It was expensive and the food portions were small, but good. It was one of those places I had to try at least once. The atmosphere is beautiful. I thought it would be more romantic, but there are A LOT of children here and it is VERY loud. I would go back in the future but not until I have tried a lot more of the other dining experiences.
The atmosphere and service at this buffet-style eatery is unbelievable. Everyone is so friendly. I am not a huge fan of german food (brautwurst, et al), the spaetzle was very good. I would recommend this at dinner though. We went at lunch and their was no entertainment. I believe Oohmpah bands play at dinner.
We had a wonderful time when we ate at this restaurant. It was my first ever Disney dining experience back in Dec 2000. I ordered the meat loaf for some strange reason. I don't even like meatloaf, and I wasn't crazy about their meatloaf, but the other items on the menu sounded very good. I had a delicious milkshake and the waitress MADE me eat my green beans after I tried to hide them on my friends plate. It was a lot of fun.
I turned 21 before my last visit to Walt Disney World with my family. Thus, when they asked if we wanted to try out the Big River Grille and Brewing Works at the Boardwalk. I had a pasta dish which was incredible, but let's get to the star of a brewery, the beer. I tried out all six beers (whether they were mine or my brothers) and I enjoyed mostly all of them. I had the seasonal beer for the time and it was definently worth trying the place out. I'm not sure if I'm gonna eat there for a while, as I'm still trying to dine everywhere, but if you haven't yet, the food is up to Disney standards. And if you like a good drink or two, definently check it out!
NON FAT YOGURT , SODAS AND CAPPUCCINO. GOOD SNACKS BUT IT CAN GET A LITTLE CROWED IN THAT AREA .
WHERE ELSE CAN YOU GET TACOS,NACHOS AND A SALAD. PRETTY GOOD FOOD BUT ITS A LITTLE OUT OF SIGHT
THERE IS NOTHING LIKE A GREAT HOT DOG AND WATCHING A PARADE. THESE ARE THE BEST HOT DOGS ANYWHERE. AND ITS A GREAT WAY TO ENJOY THE WAIT FOR THE PARADE.
Even though the menu is not what I would consider the best the atmosphere is great. It feels like your actually in your parents or grandparents kitchen. The service is what sets it apart from the others. The staff really makes it fell like your in a move set. It has the fell of the movie "Pleasantville."
THE ONLY COUNTER SERVICE THAT HAS A LAMB SANDWICH ON ITS MENU. FOOD IS GOOD AND A QUIET PLACE FOR LUNCH.
GREAT PLACE FOR A LARGE GROUP TO GO BECAUSE EVERYONE CAN FIND SOMETHING THEY LIKE.GREAT PLACE TO EAT WHILE WAITING FOR FASTPASS RIDE TO LIVING WITH THE LAND.SEATING MAY BE HARD TO FIND DURING PEAK HOURS.
GOOD PLACE FOR A QUICK PICK ME UP IN THE MORNING WHEN PREPARING FOR A BUSY DAY
IF YOU ARE A PASTRY ADDICT THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU. A LARGE SELECTION THAT MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CHOOSE WITH ONE VISIT.NICE OUT OF THE WAY PLACE TO SET AND ENJOY.
THE WAITSTAFF WAS EXCELLENT, THEY WERE VERY ATTENTIVE AND HELPFUL. THE ATOMOSPERE WAS GREAT. BUT THE FOOD WAS LESS THAN TOLERABLE. THE LAMB WE HAD WAS OLDER THAN WE ARE!! THE DESSERTS WERE GOOD BUT PRICEY EVEN FOR WDW.
MC DONALDS FOOD FRIES ,SODA , MCNUGGETS, BURGERS NOTHING SPECIAL BUT NICE SEATING TO TAKE A BREAK.
The store provides free chocolate tasting. The Ice Cream parlor provides a nice retro-American feel. This entire area is a great asset to the Disney Marketplace. Even if you don't want to buy any chocolate, be sure to look for a cast member with samples!
Not by far, this restaurant is my absolute favorite for lunch. The meals are phenominal. Heck, they even give out recipies! Even the bread and butter - or apple butter (it's hard!) - is excellent. You can always judge a restaurant by its bread, I suppose! I've never visited with characters (I don't see them fitting for some reason), but the rooms are decorative...and once again, the meals are great!! Pricey, sure. But this one is worth it. Excellent kid meals, too, I've been told!!
While I didn't find the food very good (neither did my family), I enjoyed this restaurant as the only sit-down at MGM I've been to. Watching the old commercials and films on the television - especially Walt Disney - is a great education of the time. This is a very creative and beautiful place to eat.
Expensive, yes. But this restaurant is probably the best at EPCOT. The theming is absolutely breathtaking, and the service is wonderful. It's a true highlight of the Mexico pavilion!
I enjoy this old style, Fantasyland West restaurant. The murals of the Pinocchio story on the wall are nostalgic beyond belief. I also enjoy looking on at the It's a Small World load area. This is always a fun restaurant, but the menu is a little limited.
I especially enjoy the atmosphere of this Farmer's Market style food court. The theming is perfect; and the food is great. Whether it's a Nestle cookie or a barbeque chicken sandwhich, this place has a lot to offer. I believe the child's menu used to be much superior (complete with a collectable toy, box, and Mickey straw), but the child options have been reduced to one item (I forget which), and the Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich (which I have been told by kids is pretty gross). Eh...
This restaurant used to be much better - now, the menu is limited to only about three or four items!! I also preferred the original "Mile Long" theming and Country Bear Jamboree heads on the wall. It's still okay food, but it can be found in too many places. Gawrsh, I miss the pulled chicken sandwich. The theming is nice, however. Nice Fronteirland style.
I enjoy this small area, especially during the holidays where free cookies and cocoa are given out. Inside, the area is so...heartwarming. Maybe because I was happy to be at Epcot Center?? It's not as decorated as it should be I think, (although I enjoy what's there), but it's an enjoyable, handy spot. This is like...the place for the "usual kid food"...so that's good, too.
I find most of the food here messy (I don't really enjoy messy food)...but it's pretty good overall. I really enjoy the atmosphere in this wooded area. I also get some "de ja vu" listening to some music from the Adventureland Music Loop from the Magic Kingdom in there...
I enjoy the Harbor House. Unfortunately, their menu has become very limited. This doesn't make me too pleased, however, I am happy with what is served. Excellent dining and atmosphere.
Forget the food... Give my Sonny!! I love the entertainment Mr. Eclipse provides at Cosmic Rays. However, I must warn you that this area is crowded! The food is O.K. as far as I am concerned, but visit at least once to see Sonny Eclipse perform his show.
In case I don't want to spend money inside the pavilions, this area is simply perfection. I enjoy most of the food here, and I enjoy the atmosphere. The deals are great compared to what's inside the pavilions. Yummy.
This restaurant at Tomorrowland is cool!!! I love everything like Tomorrowland Terrace at Disneyland & Tokyo Disneyland. Yeah, I love the design like Tomorrowland Terrace because has everything here!!!
The steakhouse has good food but it reminds me too much of being at any old steak house! I have been to places in Texas that are better! I really liked it more when it was buffet style however this is not to turn people away! It is fun and for a first timer, it is a must for meat lovers! Great seafood as well which is often overlooked!
Very fun especially on your first visit! Seats 250 so there is rarely a wait! I loved the fiber optics that gave the impression of being outdoors!
This is a truly low key treasure. Especially good for late dinner, like the disney version of a cozy, home cookin type diner
The view inside often makes people look twice because you feel as though you are outside dinning along a river! The service is great and the waiters are great to the kids signing menus and such!
Restarauntosauraus is nothing more than a McD's in the AK, but they do have a nice theme, with plenty of seating. It's like the Columbia Harbor House with a McDonald's Menu. Menu primarily consists of Mac's fries and chicken nuggets, overpriced of course, but not too bad. And I guess they have a character breakfast.....
I would love this if I go there for lunch. It would be much better than 1900 Park Fare. I love the selections of lunch because they're really good.
An excellent place to get plenty of one on one character interaction. I can't say too much about the food though because I was too busy taking pictures to eat!
Excellent food and service. I had the Pork Tenderloin which was wonderful. The view is gorgeous, we saw the sunset from our table. The desert was only ok though( we had an apple desert of some kind). I would definitely go again.
Loved this place! The food was incredible and there were so many choices! I loved the ribs they had especially. Mmmm good! Also, well worth noting is the desert selection. It is all included with the buffet and the choices are numerous and sooo delicious! My mouth water's when I think of the Zebra dome and the fruit pizza!
We used to love this place but on our last visit the service was extremely slow, which really put a damper on things. The singer/Ukelele player is the best though, he really goes out of his way to make your dinner special. My boys were coming out of the bathroom as the hula hooping was starting so we were too late to join in. But, the Singer Guy came over to our table with hoops and played just for my 2 and 4 year old ds's. Even though our last visit was a tad disappointing it will remain one of our favorites.
O'hana is something that every Disney vacationer should experience once partly because most people have a love/hate relationship with Polynesian's flagship restaurant. For me, theming and atmosphere are great as is the service. The problem here is the menu and the price. O'hana is very, very expensive and the meal (the food itself) is not worth it, the atmosphere is a saving grace, but that ugly spot on your credit card may have you avoiding O'hana in subsequent visits to WDW.
We always come here to get some air conditioning and yummy food, everybody's gotta love Sonny Eclipe!
AMAZING VIEW!!! I was astounded to see the MK from a semi-areal view, it was the best where the fireworks of the MK were on and we had a window view and everything!
Its always the first stop when visiting EPCOT. A nice light breakfast of Coffee and Danish. Can't be beat.
I cannot think of a visit to EPCOT without visiting the Yakatori House. It is simply the best. Every trip my wife and I try to go in for a meal. The Shogun combo has always been my favorite! My wife has an obsession with the Udon bowl. She says its the best that shes ever had (and I would agree). The other menu items are also great. Don't forget a side salad!
I can't believe I had a bad time at a Disney restaurant! None the less an EPCOT restaurant. Went for lunch a few days ago, The food was dressed up food that I can find at Don Pablos or any other mexican restaurant. Not impressed. The table was in the back corner near the restrooms and the servers kept looking over at our table. Could not get any refills on our drinks. Very dissapointed I really wanted to try it! The environment was nice though!
The first time I went to Pepper Market, it was a mexican restaurant. There was only one booth with "other foods" It was very good. Now it is a mix and match of everything and honestly not as good. The service has always been nice and friendly, but I just miss the way it used to be.
Not at all what I wanted from a Disney restaurant. I was in my early tewnties at the time and I was treated like a child. I hate that. The manager kept watching us almost acting like we were going to walk out on our tab. We were nicely dressed and just wanted a nice dinner. We spent over $130 for the two of us and just didn't feel it was worth it. The food was average "she-she" style food. Nothing stood out except for an excellent Citus infused martini and the sorbet plate shaped like and artists pallet.
I really enjoy this restaurant. My wife is from Montana, so it is like a trip home for her. She gets to have the food that we normally don't find in Georgia where we live. The food is different. But definetly worth the try. The Mixed Grill is very good as is the Berry Cobbler. Had a few times where the service was not as great as I expected and a few bad tables. I just chaulk that up to being young at the time.
I simply had the best dining experience I have ever had. The entire visit was phenominal. The server was very knowledgable and welcoming and the food was great. A wonderful wine list of 75 different wines all from South Africa. Try the Amaluah Cream. Its made from the Maluah fruit and cream and it is fantastic!
By far, one of the best restaurants in all of Walt Disney World. The Grill offers a gourmet experience with an ever-changing seasonal menu of delicious offerings prepared in a colorful environment with a spectacular view. The stage kitchen gives you the opportunity to see how the prep area functions and how the food is prepared. The waitstaff is very knowledgeable of the menu and the selections give you choices not found in just any restaurant. The view is stunning and, if you time it correctly, you can see a memorable view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks and/or the Electrical Water Pageant. It is expensive but I have had some of the greatest meals of my life at the California Grill.
How can you not love this place? Beatifully decorated, extremely fun entertainment, a wide buffet menu. I mean, it's all you can eat! If you leave here still hungry, that's your fault. There is plenty of excellent salads, meats and deserts here to fill you up for a long time. A big warning, however... the food is VERY heavy (but what do you expect from sausages, brats, pork and black forest cake?)
Seldom at WDW will you find a place where you can get whatever food you're looking for (Counter service-wise) AND feel you got you moneys-worth. This is is such a great place, if for nothing else the Chicken Caesar Salad. It's a rare thing to get full from a salad, but in all of the countless times I've eaten at Cosmic Rays, I can count on one hand the amount of times I've finished my entire salad. The prices are phenomenal (for a park restaurant), and theming is terrific. Highly recommended by me.
it cost like 7 bucks for a strawberry sunday but it was huge same for the cones ... never have i been so stuffed and i don't like ice cream but this was more than mere ice cream this was food of the gods.. this was a little piece of frozen heaven it was one of the best parts of my trip.
Although it was our fifth trip we have never taken a Character meal so we visited Hollywood and Vine for a breakfast in August. It was tremendous!! Our server Carrie was so efficient and friendly, the food was plentiful and delicious and the characters were so attentive and happy to entertain. My brother had informed the restaurant my husband and I were celebrating our Silver Wedding anniversary and my birthday. We were presented with balloons, a cake, a memories certificate and a birthday card signed by the characters. We have some great photographs and memories. We enjoyed the food so much we booked for a evening buffet later in the holiday. That was also very good although there are no characters of an evening.
we had a party of two adults and three children aged 8,10,14. We went for the character breakfast at 10am and were still eating at the buffet style (all you can eat ) at 1130.What a fab choice savoury and sweet. With Goofy, Minnie,Pluto Chip and Dale all arriving at your table for photos .The service was excellent and the more you eat the more the disney characters come round to greet you.would recommend it highly and will go again
we were a party of two adults and three kids aged 8,10,14.The meal was excellent value for money (lunch) and the kids portions were large. The fun aspect does depend on the chef but overall it was one of the best meals we had would return again we reccommend it.
ANOTHER FAST FOOD PLACE FOR QUICK EATS OR TO TAKE SMALL CHILDREN. OK BUT NO BIG DEAL.
good food, awesome theming, fast, fun, etc etc this is a great place to eat and my personal favorite. (i like the one at downtown disney better than the one at AK though, but both ROCK)
We always try to hit the Sci-Fi. However, the last two times we have been the service was so bad. We had to sit through the B movie loop twice before we got our food. It is a neat place though. For those of us old enough to remember the drive-ins, it brings back a lot of memories. Food is not bad but is just normal Disney stuff given weird Sci-Fi names.
I love this place. The views of the boats on the river of time and the Myan Temple with volcano in the background. Plus you can get some very spicy food. Don't go looking for taco bell style food. You wont find it. What you will find is some of the best authentic Mexican food around. If you like HOT food ask your waiter to bring you the special Mole Salsa. It is Great.
My wife loves this place but I cannot stand English food. I would rather eat live worms. The theming is well done and the restaurant provides the only indoor seating with a view of the World Showcase Lagoon.
Terriffic dinner music and a belly dancer to boot. How can you not love this place. The meats are spiced perfectly and the couscous has great flavor. Never seems crowded and the services has always been very good.
Buffet style food. Great variety. I'm not a seafood fan but the breads, cheeses and pork selection is very food. They also have a chilled tomato/onion salad that is very good. Kids really seel to like the troll theme.
This is a must visit at least once place. But once you've been a time or two try something else. Young children may be frightened by the animals.
This is just run of the mill food. You can get similar in almost any city in the good old USofA. Nothing special but if you have a hankering for an egg roll, stop in and get a bite.
Grab a stein and sing with the polka band. It is a great chance to meet other guests while seated family style at long tables. What a fun place to eat. The food is good and there is a huge selection. Of all the Disney restaurants, we have has the worst service here. Good thing it is buffet style. I almost had to go fill my won glass a couple of times. The food and entertainment outweigh the service issue though.
This place is fun. When you go in, be prepared to be scolded, hugged and treated like family. I have seen several people that just don't know how to take this place. The wait staff may make you stand in the corner if you keep your elbows on the table and will not serve you desert unless you clean your plate. My only negative comment is that they took the buffalo Chicken Tenders off the menu!
This is just another theme park burger place. It is often crowded and its real redeeming quality is that it has a view of It's a small world loading area.
Not one of the better places to eat. Even though it fits right in with my feelings about the Coronado - stay at other Disney resort.
Better then the other burger places because if has a "fixings" bar. Lots of veggies fresh and grilled for topping your burger.
This is not a bad place but not an exceptional place either. If you want a quick bite this may fit the bill.
So it is not the best place to eat at the MK; but I LOVE IT. I eat there all the time. I really like enpinyatas (sp?) The biggest problem is keeping the birds away from your food.
This is about what you should expect for counter service at WDW. limited menu but quick. Kids love the very basic audio anamatronics that out on a show while you eat.
If you like Mexican food eat at the San Angel Inn. If you don't have time, the Cantina de San Angel is a good alternative. The menu is not extensive but has enough to please most tastes. Nice location on the world showcase lagoon.
This is a fun place to eat and the food is really good. We aways try to eat there. Limited array of characters but I really go for the food.
We ate Thanksgiving dinner there last year and it was very good. The view is spectacular and if you can get a good seat for the firewoeks you will be in for a great show. I do find that the wait is a little long at times even with a PS.
I just LOVE O'hanas. The food is plentiful and quite tasty and the peanut sauce is absolutely incredible. The after dinner pineapple is also quite good. Nice selection of all you can eat meats.
Love to go upstairs and eat. Never a lot of people and its very quiet.
During E-nights, Casey's is open also for the three hours, so we eat after midnight at Casey's. Love sitting on the bleachers and watching the old cartoons. One of my favorite things to do while I'm there.
We eat here every trip to Disney, great food, huge portions, a very entertaining meal, great atmosphere and unbelievable service, kids love it. Penny pinchers beware, Mitsukoshi is quite an expensive meal for a family of four, but worth every penny.
We ate so much of the rolls. We love the dressing with Strawberries in it. The turkey and steak were perfect. We also had dessert. My mother-in-law and I a sundae and my husband had a pecan sauce with pound cake. Yes, the characters were great. Minnie dressed in colonial style dress. We also had the perfect spot right outside to watch SpectoMagic Parade. :-)
This is my husband's fave place to eat breakfast at MGM. We loved the characters dressed in the mobster theme. The service was very good. The characters again treated us just like kids.
This is a very big secret character breakfast. We enjoyed this so much we are going back on the 12th of Oct.
1900 Park Fare was very good. The food was great. The characters treated me, my husband and mother-in-law as if we were kids.
Lunch at the Prime Time Cafe...Nice...loved the meatloaf....REALLY LOVED the PB&J Shake! Its like they took some ice cream and and a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich and put it in a blender. I know it might sound a little icky, but its great! ....Our server on the other had....had a really thick accent...he was from Morocco..and we were his "cousins" (everyone...servers..play as if they are a memeber of the family..and you are eating in moms kitchen) ...and I thought I was the only one having a hard time understanding him.... turns out I was not....cause the folks at the next table...asked if I understood him...I said "I am trying to" ...none the less...great food...great CM....just a really bad/thick accent....
I love this restaurant! As a former resident of Japan, I'm very critical of Japanese restaurants, but this one never lets me down. I won't make a WDW trip without hitting it at least once. There isn't much room inside for dining, though. Don't skip the ice creams or the edamame.
I won't make a visit to Tomorrowland without getting a smoothie from Auntie Gravity's! So far every time I've gotten them they come in these really cool (but small) dishwasher-safe cups you're meant to reuse. The only drawback is that these cups have no lids. They also serve a tropical juice blend that I really love, but they don't serve it in a large enough size for me, so I always have to order two juices and ask them to pour them both into a 32 oz cup for me. Often I'll go get a smoothie or a juice to go with a Cosmic Ray's meal (though that wouldn't be a good idea during peak seasons, I'm sure).
This is an expensive buffet, but it has lots of good food on it. I rated it kind of low on Kid Friendly because a lot of the choices on the buffet would only be chosen by the most adventurous little ones. There are a few things most kids would eat, though, so they won't go hungry.
I got the Fantasmic Dining Experience one trip and chose this as the restaurant because I love Italian food. The menu items all looked great, but our food didn't turn out all that well. I got some kind of pasta dish with several kinds of seafood, but my seafood wasn't very fresh & tasted "fishy". My parents weren't much happier with their meals, either. The portion sizes were larger than we expected, but a lot of not-that-great food isn't any better than a small amount of good food. Overall it felt like we should have had a much better dinner experience for the amount it cost us. (Incidently, we weren't as pleased as we expected with our Fantasmic Dining Experience seats, either. We still had to arrive early and we've had much better views just walking in through the main entrance.)
The idea of this restaurant is awesome, but it's just not all that pleasant to eat in. The trailers and clips were a lot of fun, but that was really the only part of the experience I enjoyed. Each car seat only holds two people and they all face the same direction, so when I went with my two friends, they were in a seat together facing forward and I was in the seat behind them talking to the backs of their heads. The tabletops are shelves across the "dashboard" area and they have a light running along the length where the table met the seatback. With the lights so dim in the restaurant, it was unpleasant trying to see my food silhouetted against the table-light. My food was kind of bland, but my friends' entrees were better. All in all, it's definitely fun to do at least once, but not an experience I'll ever want to repeat.
I wanted to write about Trails End Buffeteria because I think it is one of the best values for lunch anywhere at the WDW Resort. For 10 dollars the unlimited refills and visits to the buffet make this a real rare gem among the resorts. Its also a real getaway from the bustle of the busy All Star Resorts and theme park eateries...On the menu onthe day I was there: Two Soups - (A chili and a chicken based soup) Corn Bread, Biscuits, Full salad Bar, Macaroni and Cheese, Pulled BBQ Pork Sandwiches, Make your own buritos, Fried Chicken, Pizza, Sweet Corn, Peas, and Apple Cobbler for dessert Fast Friendly beverage service and a great wait staff!! Four Mickey fingers up!!
I really like this restaurant. Their food is delicious, but there is admittedly a lot of fish offers and so you've gotta have some tolerance of sea life cuisine. It's buffet-style, so portion size is no worry. Don't go half-hungry, because it is very expensive. The food was great though, and if I found something not to my liking, there were 3 or 4 other things I enjoyed. Best Norwegian "type" food I've found at a restaurant. Next best thing to real Norwegian family cooking. The buffet style atmosphere adds to this :) Talk to your waiter/waitress. Norwegians are really friendly :) Next time, i'll try dessert, last time I was too full. Final warning: It will make your pocketbook hurt, but it's worth the spurlge atleast once if you like Norwegian food.
I hated everything about this restaurant. I'm not one to normally bash restaurants and I even give really bad waiters really good tips and chalk it up toa bad day, bu the restaurant itself was horrible. The food was nearly inedible, the verdict from a panel of those trying to "enjoy" their meal. The seating was cramped and not made for anyone over 5'11. The service was nonchalant and looked bored, waiting for someone else to fill our space. We payed way too much for a meal we really disliked and will never do again.
Le Cellier's food was wonderful, and the service above and beyond anything I expected. The portions were small though. A few things weren't my favorite flavors, like the breadsticks they offer which are soft-pretzle-like and come in various flavors (none of which I really liked) but it just wasn't my type of thing. Same goes for the soup everyne raves about. If you like cheese soup, you'll love it, if you don't, give it a try and atleast you can say you've tried a wonderful cheese soup but still don't like it ;) -Rob
I love this character meal. I would love to dine here when I go there because that would be a fun way to eat there after it reopens. I love Pooh & his friends & I wanna see Pooh & his friends dine with me.
I live in florida and whenever i go to disney for the weekend i always make it a point to stay and eat at at chef mickey's . A very mice way to start my day
I love the character meals!!! I would have breakfast with stars & dinner with Winnie the Pooh & his friends. I like Pooh & I love to dine with Pooh & his friends.
I guess I am the only one so far who did not care for this place. The wait staff makes one liners all night and poke fun at the guests, however, we got a very shy, quiet girl. She did not make the mood fun and my kids were very disappointed that everyone else got to have fun! It was even my husbands birthday and she asked him if he wanted a song, you dont ask you just do!! they sang to so many others! my kids were sad since we had gone here for dad's big day and didnt get nutin'. O well. Try something else next year.
The Charred Black Angus Bourbon Strip Steak was to die for!! We also had the mushrooms marinated in comyac (?spelling) were also excellent. I did not even like mushrooms before I tried them here, now eat them all the time! We already have another reservation for November, but we still do not bring the kids. It seems to intimate for that.
This is definately the best restaurant to go to for a good steak.
This is a great restaurant to go to if you want to have some good down home fun!
This is by far the best place to enjoy a character buffet meal.
We loved both the charecter breakfast and the Clam bake. This restaurant is an excellent choice!
My family and I have enjoyed this restaurant many times. We love the whole southern theme. The food is good and plentiful.
Best place for lots of hot dog fans!!! My husband from Portland, Oregon always likes this restaurant at WDW.
I ate in the George Washington room....loved it... the red carpeting and dark wood paneling made this a very nice setting... The pot roast was tender and fell apart at the touch of the fork....excellent... The CM are great here as well....oh...and if someone in your dinning part is having there birthday....make sure you let your server know.
Tonga Toast is a piece of sourdough bread...stuffed with bananas....cooked then rolled in Cinnamon and sugar...and is the most awsome French Toast I have had in my whole life....and I make some great french toast myself....lol There Coffee is out of this world to! Service was most excellent....and the Kona Cafe has now become a must do on my list...anytime I am in the Central FL. area!
Nothing like ending the day with a stoll down Main Street and some yummy Ice Cream!. I got the butter pecan...it was great...I highly suggest the sundays that come in the freshly made waffel bowls...with lots of Hot Fudge!
WOW...long lines...and tons of tired little ones screaming and crying... I ordered the clam chowder in the bread bowl..it was pretty good....I also ate upstairs....a heck of alot more quite up there....I HIGHLY suggest eating up stairs....its like I had the whole place to myself !
We ate here for dinner one night during our vacation and while it had a few good dishes, I wasn't overly impressed by it. I'm a very picky eater so I wasn't able to find much that I would eat, but what I did eat was decent. It did have a very fun, friendly atmosphere as the people got the children involved in hula-hoop games and had fun with the guests. It wasn't bad, but wasn't anything particularly wonderful either. I guess I can recommend it, though.
We have been disapointed in the rose and crown on our last few visits. The quality of the food seems to be suffering. About the only really good dish there is the fish and chips. At one time {pre-1998} we enjoyed the food there . Don't know what happened.
One of the nicest restaurants on the property. The ever changing menu always has something new. The food is teriffic, the ambiance is wonderfull. We make sure we eat here everytime we visit the studios
I am not a big fan of eating meat but they had enought Food for me I only ate the chicken and the shrimp both on the salty side but the sides where great liked the rice and the salad, But the best was the Pinapple and Carmel my favorite dessert in all of the magic kingdom, Check out the Lupa Lupa for a drink at the lounge its a great drink.
THis placve is awesome, you either sit in convertibles in a drive in movie type setting of in boothes in the back, they show clips from old B sci-fi movies. complete with twinkeling stars overhead. The food is preety good mainly good for the experience but will difinetly go back, a glorified fast food joint made into a sitdown resturant is th type of food they serve but excellent to say the least
In my opinion this is the best sit down restuarant in the Whole Walt Dianey World. The food is GREAT and the themeing is right out of an Italian movie. If you eat there you Must try anything with Alfredo suace they make it the one true way
This place has the BEST ice cream floats. That is all i can commnt on seeing that is the only thing i get there
This place is cool. It is so neat to see the characters dressed up in the period customs. Just about all the main characters are there. The food is served buffet style, you sit down and they bring you family sized portions of everything one you table, so you can help yourself and when the food gets low they bring more, dessert not included. The food is great and has a huge variety. You can also purchase aotugraph books and pens and cameras for your server, witch is very cool in case you forgot yours in a locker or something
Tjhis is the best place to eat, At night it is even better, as the seater if there is a table by the window open, if there is do everything you can to get thst table, at night when the Fireworks come on you have the best every from anywhere.
I hate to be the lone dissenter, but... I was VERY disappointed, especially as we were staying at the Polynesian and this was one of our "special" activities...especially since everyone raves about it. The meat they cook is extremely salty, and I didn't like it...and my tastes aren't particularly picky. It started out with appetizers, including salad with Hawaiian dressing (OK), grilled veggies (blah), shrimp wanton (OK, best of appetizers), fried rice (thumbs down), chicken wings (thumbs down). Then you get bread and choice of turkey, pork, steak or shrimp...again all salty. Now they give you three choices of sauce, including barbeque, something I can't remember, and a Hawaiian banana/mango (my favorite of the sauces). Pinapple with caramel sauce for dessert--OK/good. Overall--very disappointing. My 8-yr. old enjoyed the hula hoop thing, but was this really worth $80 for three people? NO! Will never do Ohana again.
My favorite of the WS resturants. The overall feel of the Mexico pavillion and the resturant in particular is very intimate and very relaxing. The food was good, and was served promptly. It IS rather dark in the resturant...not so much that i couldn't read the menu but I had almost finished half of my dinner before I realized I was eating the stuffed pepper and not the enchalada... Still, a great dining memory.
Overlooked but a nice place to eat. Getting a table upstairs makes a big difference to cutting down the noise. Overall, just a simple, tasty menu and a nice place to enjoy it.
What a find! The variety and new taste sensations were worth the trip. The stews and zebra-domes are to die for.
This is a must-do every trip. The offerings are typical for the style of restaurant and you always have to leave room for the ice cream. You can order a side-dish here and still get plenty to eat.
By far, the most delicious steak I have ever eaten. No exaggeration, and I eat a lot of them. The desserts were wonderful (and even well themed to the Disney parks). The gentleman next to us commented that he had eaten there 3 nights in a row. This place is pricey (about $150 for 2 people), but it was worth it in my opinion. The food was better than Fultons.
GOOD PLACE TO STOP FOR LUNCH AS THE DAY HEATS UP IN AK. WE ENJOYED SETTING ALONG THE RIVER WHILE COOLING DOWN TO GET UP ENOUGH ENERGY TO GO ON.THE BARBECUE WAS NOT AS SPICY AS SOME WHICH I GUESS IS DONE TO KEEP EVERYONE HAPPY.
I wasn't too impressed by this restaurant. The burgers seemed pretty average and nothing too exciting in theming or service. Best for families with young kids.
This friendly spot in Discovery Island is a nice spot for families. The pizza is nothing great, but the atmosphere is bright, colorful, and kid friendly. Stop by if you have kids or want to take advantage of the restaurant's air conditioning.
This restaurant is a nice addition to the counter service options in World Showcase. Good food, pleasant atmosphere. Worth a try.
I enjoy this restaurant but seem to go usually for just a snack or to take a break at. The theming is great complete with Victory Garden and view of Sunset Boulevard and I love the music they play. The restaurant can get crowded at times through, especially when hundreds of guests are released from the neerby Beauty and the Beast show.
The theming for this restaurant is great recreating the Italian Restaurant from Lady and the Tramp. The food is OK, but I think some of the other Italian Restaurants in WDW are better. Worth at least one meal at.
I like this restaurant. The food is good (and this from someone who isn't a big barbaqueue fan) and the view of the Discovery River and Aisa is great. Worth a try.
This restaurant is not one of my favorites. The only thing it has going for it is the window on the fish tank. Other than that, the food is not too great, overpriced, and theming is nothing spectacular. I would recogmend eating in World Showcase or go to one of the Boardwalk insteed.
This place is one of the coolest looking restaurants at WDW. It is expensive, but go ahead and treat yourself. I had some really great shrimp. If you are not a fan of seafood you may not be a big enjoy it. But if you are, you will love this place.
I think Coronado is great, I think the Pepper Market is awfull.
If you stay at Yacht & Beach you are very lucky that you have Beaches & Cream.
This restaurant is probably the best themed restaurant in the Magic Kingdom. The theming of being inside Cinderella Castle is truly spectacular. With Cinderella appeareing occasionally throughout the day and a variety of Princesses appearing at breakfast, this place is an great spot for kids. The food is nothing spectacular, but the theming is good enough that it alone is worth at least one visit.
Basic fast food (chesseburgers, hot dogs, ect.) in the atmosphere of a Backlot prop shop. Worth a stop for some comfort food and some AC.
This reatuaurant is a welcome change from the burgers and french fries of usual Disney World eateries. The atmosphere is nice and the food suprisingly good. Entertainment adds a lot to the restaurant as well with live band and dancer.
I thought that this was the best Dining Experience that I ever had, and not just in WDW. Just entering the restaurant was thrilling. Right away you are introduced to your "cousins" which really makes the place seem so friendly. Your host takes you to get the delicious bread and also allows you to get a good view of the 18-foot wood burning grill. Our Server who I think was named Ernesto was terrific. He was one of the nicest Cast Members in Disney. We had a birthday in the party and he was with us celebrating the whole time. The food was incredible (and I think that is an understatement)! The starters which were Shrimp Wontons, Honey Coriander Chicken Wings, Seasoned Vegetables, Salad in a Honey lime dressing, and Oriental Rice with vegetables. After getting filled up on starters your server comes out with the main course. One 4 big skewers your server has Steak, Turkey, Pork Chop, and Shrimp. Each one is seasoned to perfection with Polynesian tastes. The food is also all-you-can eat. For dessert you are treated to Pineapple served with hot caramel sauce. There are also other deserts that you can purchase, but after the pineapple it is almost unnecessary. The setting at the restaurant is great! You are surrounded by the Polynesian feel with the lit up Cinderlla Castle in the background. If you time it right you can also watch fireworks from the restaurant, where you get the perfect view (and they play the music). There are also games for kids like Coconut Races and Hula hoop contests. All in all this is a must see restaurant. The setting, service, and food are terrific.
The Sci-Fi is a really neat place to eat. The atmosphere is great and the service,in my experiences, is top-notch. The menu is a little weak and the food is average at best, but it is still a fun dining experience.
Located in the World Showcase in France, this is a must stop on a trip "around the world". Excellent pastries...need I say more?
The LTT is great. The characters are dressed up in revolutionary-war era costumes (Mickey, Goofy, etc.) The menu at dinner is a typical thanksgiving-type meal: turkey, mashed potatos, mac and cheese, etc. This all-you-can eat meal differs from a bunch of the others in that it is not self-serve buffet, but instead served family style (a nice break for families who are tired of eating fast food and would like a sit-down meal that appeals to kids). The theming in the restaurant is good. I would say the food is simply average, but definitely a step up from eating fast-food hamburgers and fries.
I love this charcter meal. We had both breakfast and lunch here a few years ago and had a ball. Pooh and friends are the highlight and its especially fun when Pooh dances around the room!! We had ample opportunity to interact with the characters and take pictures (and we were a group of 4 adults!). The buffet was plentiful and had tons of selections. You'll walk away stuffed.
I think this is one of the best character dining experiences at WDW (that's probably why you can make PS's 120 days out instead of the normal 60). Lots of fun for the kids...napkin dances, mickey, goofy, etc. Its a little loud at times (what character meal isn't?), but that just adds to the whole festive atmosphere. I like to make this dinner on the night I arrive to help unwind from the stresses of the outside world and enter the world of Disney.
GREAT PLACE FOR A SNACK OR LUNCH QUICKLY. THE BEST EGG ROLLS EVER. GINGER ICE CREAM THAT IS MADE THERE DAILY IS OUT OF THIS WORLD.
If you want some quick Chinese food, this is the place to go. I love their Sweet and Sour Chicken. Theming and atmosphere is probably the least spectacular of all the EPCOT fast food restaurants, but the food makes up for it.
The Sci-Fi Drive-In is a great place for theming. One of my favorites when it comes to the atmosphere. I could sit in those cars and watch the trailers for those hilarious movies abuot all day long. But remember, this is a restraunt. Which means you must grade the food. I usually get either a chicken sandwich or a burger when I got there, I will admit they are rather good. But the rest of the menu doesn't appeal to me. When I down there about a month ago, the menu changed from my last visit and it was very short. Only about 7 entrees, which was disappointing. I didn't even eat there the first visit to the Studios. The next day I headed back for lunch and liked the lunch menu better and chowed down and laughed at the movies. As all Disney restraunts, the service was fantastic. Has Disney ever given you bad service? As a waiter myself, I'd say these guys and girls are fantastic!
THE FOOD HERE IS THE BEST INSIDE AK. WHEN YOU GROW TIRED OF EATING AT THE RAINFORREST CAFE THIS IS THE PLACE. LIMITED SELECTION BUT IT'S ALL GOOD.
COUNTER SERVICE FOR FOOD THAT IS REASONABLY PRICED. WE ENJOY SITTING OUTSIDE NEAR THE GARDEN.
GREAT FOOD WITH ENTERTIANMENT. THE SEATING MAKES IT EASY TO MEET NEW PEOPLE AND NO ONE COMES AWAY HUNGRY.
I WAS HERE AS PART OF A BACK STAGE TOUR. I DON'T GO FOR ITALIAN FOOD BUT THIS WAS REALLY GOOD SO I GUESS IF YOU LIKE THIS TYPE OF FOOD IT WOULD BE GREAT.
GREAT FOR A MID MORNING SUGAR KICK OR EVEN SOME SNACKS THAT ARE GOOD FOR YOU
THIS IS YOUR LOCAL SPORTS BAR ON STEROIDS. MORE TVS',MORE NOISE AND HIGHER PRICES. GREAT FOR THE SPORTS FAN.
This restaurant is probably the best Italian restaurant in all of Walt Disney World. The theming is pleasant and the food was wonderful. The Fetticini Alfrado is a must-try. You havn't really had Fetticini Alfrado until you've tried it here.
This restaurant in Japan has some good Japanese food. Portains are goos sized and there is plenty of tables. I would recogmend eating outside since inside can get claustrophobic at times. Nice if you want a quick meal.
On my last visit to Walt Disney World, I stopped at 'Ohana for breakfast before hitting the Magic Kingdom. The all-you-can-eat set-up they had was nice. A healthly portion of french toast, bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, etc... was served and you could guzzle down. Plus, the festive island characters that visited your table were a plus. If you are hungry, the price isn't bad. I think it was around $13-16 dollars for adults. You can just eat and eat and eat. Get stuffed then go ride some rides.
This restaurant offers a good selection of counter service Mexican food and a beautiful view of the World Showcase Lagoon. A nice spot for a quick meal.
Another enjoyable restaurant at the Studios. Theming is nice and the food is great. What more can you want? This is also an option for the Fantasmic dinner package which is also a plus.
This is a great restaurant if you want some air conditioning. The food good and not the standard hamburgers and hot dogs of other counter service resstaurants in the park. The atmosphere is ok, but the commercials for ABC show can get fairly annoying ("could you please turn off Drew Carry, I'm trying to eat"). Great spot for lunch.
Not my favorite EPCOT restaurant. The theming is pleasant, but pales in comparison to other World Showcase restaurants like Mexico or Germany. Also, the food is basic "pub grub" and not the best in the world. Worth a visit, but not the best.
This is a must-eat for me at the Animal Kingdom for lunch. Good food, pleasent surroundings, and the much appreciated air conditioning in a park that seems to lack it.
Another of EPCOT's wonderful World Showcase Restaurants. The food here is very good and atmosphere could not be more perfect. If you can, request a table right next to the water. The view is beautiful watching the boats from El Rio Del Tiempo pass by.
GREAT ICE CREAM CREATIONS OF ALL TYPES. A LITTLE PRICY BUT GOOD.
Chef Mickey's is a nice kid's buffet. I belive it is over priced and not worth the hype. Although its an easy dinner if you are staying in the resort Monorail loop; isnt worth the travel by car. Food is ok. Servie also. But its way over priced. Always was. Ofcourse if i had a chance i would eat there but i would want a discount. 1 -10 7 1/2
Overall this restaurant is great. They have the best fish and chips that you have ever tasted. The other food is great too. I have never had a bad meal here. The service is great too.
This is a great restaurant due to the view. The portion size is good and the food is great but it is alittle over priced. You are mainly paying for the view.
This is a good restaurant, but I have had better. You can not bet the location. It is great to watch the Monorail go through the resort. It was nice to eat there once but it is not my favorite.
Great for fireworks, A bit to facny eatin for me,
The ice cream is great. All the deserts are good, but are alittle over priced. If you love ice cream you must get some here.
We ate here for breakfast one morning and it was great. Had a nice quiet meal while watching people enter Main Street ready for a day of great fun. The service here was very good, the menu selection was also good. I'd definitely eat here again and recommend that others do as well.
The first and only time i ate here was May 21, 2002 for my VERY Sweet 16, for breakfast. The food was SOOOOO good, i even wanted to keep eating after i was full!!! They gave me a very delectable cupcake, chococolate, with 2 things of whip cream to make ears, it had mickey sprinkles and a candle, which i still have, including a choclate mickey...it tasted so good, it tasted to professional. I even had a view of Cinderella Castle. I can't put into words how much i loved this resturant. My server was great, she even let me keep my placemate, reminding me forever how special it was.
During my last trip to Walt Disney World, I spent my first day at the Magic Kingdom. The crowds starting picking up and I decided to go get lunch at the Contemporary via the Monorail. After arriving, I chose the Concourse Steakhouse for dining. I'm not going to say I was very surprised, for great food is a signature of Disney World in my opinion, but the Concourse Steakhouse was a wonderful little spot for getting lunch. The menu wasn't very overwhelming, only a few items, but there is something for everybody. Service was great was it was not too busy during lunch, probably because the guests were at the parks. The most enjoyable part of the experience was more than likely the Monorail gliding right beside you as you eat. It is amazing how quiet that thing is. Anyways, if you staying at the Contemporary or are at the Magic Kingdom and looking for a quiet spot to eat, check out the Concourse Steakhouse. It's a neat and enjoyable experience.
Wooo! Sports nirvana! Dozens of TV's showing all of the ESPN channels line the walls. There is a live sports-talk show that is broadcast which includes trivia contests for the guests. Various ESPN luminaries will show up from time to time for interviews, Q & A's, actual broadcasts, etc. The night we were there, one of the SportsCenter anchors was there taking questions from people. ESPN Club is terrific if you like sports. If not, it's probably not the place for you. It's loud, pricey, and the food is standard sports bar fare: hamburgers, nachos, steak sandwiches, etc. Nothing special. Personally, I love sports, so I think the ESPN Club is cool as hell.
I have only eaten here once, but on the advice of people on this board, I made dinner reservations for just before the electrical parade and the asked for a seat on the deck. The host asked if we had been there before, I said no, and he seated us right along the railing in a primo parade viewing spot. It probably would have been hard to disappoint us that night, but our meal was exceptional. Fine Italian fare! We ordered desert and coffee too, which is rare for us. We just wanted to relax and stay a little longer.
Ok, get yourself a pineapple/vanilla swirl Dole Whip. Grab a seat under the shelter in the old abandoned Adventureland Veranda next door. Sit in the shade and watch the people coming over the bridge into Adventureland as the breeze blows through the palm leaves and you enjoy one of the MK's finest creations. There you go. 15 minutes well spent.
This is a personal favorite for me, since I love italian food. Also, my wife speaks italian and delights in conversing with the CM's there. This is a bonus for us, which obviously is probably not a factor for most people. Otherwise, this is a pretty good place to eat. It's fairly expensive and a little bit loud. The food is very good. There are strolling musicians and singers. Tends to be crowded.
Worth a trip just to experience the outdoor Mexican market at night theme. Very well done. The food was very good and the service was exceptional. Tip: There is a small, seperate dining area to the right of the restaurant. While it is a little more private, you might lose the view of the volcano (pyramid? I can't remember). If that isn't a problem, it's a nice, somewhat quieter change of pace from the packed-in-just-a-little-too-tight main dining area.
The only restaurant at Old Key West has an interesting, if limited, menu. Olivia's is laid back, moderately expensive and rarely crowded. I've encountered some exceptionally friendly CM's here. If you go, take note of the pictures of DVC members that line the walls. While you are there, try the Key Lime Pie.
If you are in the mood for a burger or hot dog (and nothing else), this is a good place to eat. The food is good (as far as counter service) goes, and you get a very large portion. Great for a quick lunch or something like that!
Personally, the four or five times I have eaten at this restaurant, I've been very impressed. The last time we were there (on our honeymoon) this past April, our waiter Claudio bent over backwards to make sure we got the most out of our 'Deluxe plan'. The food in my opinion has always been delicious and is much better than the 'chain' Italian places. It can be a bit pricey, but other than that I have nothing negative to say.
Food was good but limited compared to average Japanese steak house.
Lots of food and plenty of laughs and fun.
One of my fav. Just plain old fashion FUN!
The ABC Comissary, located in Disney-MGM Studios, just wasn't particularly impressive to me. I really didn't see much on the menu that appealed to me, and what I did end up eating I didn't finish because it was pretty nasty. The place is nice and clean, the service was great, but the menu needs to be completely redone. If there was more of a variety, it would be one of the best places to eat.
If you like fish filets or chicken planks I would recommend the Harbour House. It's pretty standard fast food, but the food is tasty and always hot. Although lines are long, they go quite fast. And besides, by that time your used to lines at WDW.
Mediocre food at extremely high prices. I would not recommend unless you absolutely have to have Italian food and there's nowhere else to go. We've tried it twice now and after our $130 bill (for 3 of us and 1 bottle of red wine) from the last visit we will never go again. The service was terrible and the food poorly prepared. I had the Alfredo and unless you like heavy, heavy Alfredo sauce and heavy, heavy cheese, then I would recommend something differnt. My wife had spaghetti, and it too was poorly prepared with heavy a heavy garlic flavor. Now I know it's an Italian restaurant, but they could go a little lighter on the garlic. The one good food was the bread and olive oil.
I liked this place, kinda expensive, but worth it! The food was delicious!
I liked it, but don´t recommend it if you are very traditional to eat or a burger and fries lover. ;-) The menu is more interesting as the place is. It was very quiet, so I wouldn´t dare to bring a kid to it. It´s a good place to have a relaxed romantic dinner. ;-)
This restaurant has great food. The prices for food are low and the service is great.
They have a variety of differnt ice cream items here. They used to have different colored waffle cones(pink, green, to seem out of this world). I believe they only serve ice cream and beverages. They got ice cream sundaes as well. It's only counter service, no tables or chairs inside.
There's a great variety of food here and the clam chowder is great. We've dined here each of our last 6 trips to Disney and have never been disappointed. The food is excellent and the dessert selections are quite extensive and no doubt fattening.
The flametree bbq is a great place for lunch...although its pricy it still has its kicks. Most of the food is in good portions and is very good. Any park usually has high costs of food so its not that bad. Make sure to try the ribs!!
I always enjoy this restaurant. The food is great and the entertainment is always enjoyable. The theming is great as well making it a wonderful experience. Definatly a fun meal.
This isn't my favorite. While I like the theming (the TVs playing classic shows at the table are a great touch) and the food is OK, I don't care for the service all that much. I know it's supose to fit with the restaurant's theme to have the waitresses and waiters act like family, but it just makes me feel uncomfortable. While some may enjoy this, I usually try to avoid this restaurant at MGM.
This place is nice if you are looking for a small lunch or early dinner! The menu is pretty well rounded and everything comes in good proportions! The cast members are great and their costumes really add to the theme!
The combination of location, quality, price, and awesome cast members make this a MUST VISIT every time my family goes to WDW!
Everybody should see Rainforest Cafe at least once. Just an awesome concept and awesome experience. Although I feel the food is a bit lacking, the theming and atmosphere more than makes up for this. A warning for parents with small children, the frequent "thunderstorms" in the restaurant may scare the children but they usually don't. Kids will most likely be fixated on the gorillas & elephants. Do Not Miss!
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater should be on everybody's "To Do" list at WDW. The service is great and good for a laugh. Although the highlight of the experience is the 1950's television on the big screen. My personal favorite is the "Future" commercials which depict kitchens of the future, transportation of the future. Just a great experience and anybody with kids should not miss this restaurant.
I absolutely loved the food at this place, it was so good. Its an all you care to eat buffet, its kind of pricey, but I tthink it is worth it.
Boatwright's has to be one of my favorite WDW-Resort restaurants. I think the theming of this restaurant is head and shoulders above any other restaurant on property. Boatwright's is set in a workshop where a new boat is being built. The skeleton of the hull of the boat is put in place over the tables and tools can be found on the walls and tables. Your napkins are shop rags and can be found with the salt & pepper, and other condiments inside a toolbox at the edge of your table. Boatwright's is a excellent place for breakfast before leaving for the parks or other day activities. I haven't eaten at Boatwright's during Lunch or Dinner, but I must say the breakfast is fantastic.
Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano is a great restaurant for the whole family. Theres a lot to choose from on the menu and great desserts. Its a good idea to come here if you need to relax from walking and get a good meal. Make sure to come here on nights where they are showing Fantasmic! because you get special seating, if you ask. Then when fantasmic starts you get great seats without the wait!
After waiting quite a while to eat at the critically acclaimed California Grill, I was finally able to break down and make my reservations for dinner. I carefully timed my dinner with the Magic Kingdom's fireworks to further enjoy my experience. Upon arriving at the California Grill, we were seated near the window overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon & Magic Kingdom. Our waiter was fantastic... in my opinion, any waiter who can take your order without writting it down, and get it right is a good waiter. The sushi was excellent as was the entrees and desert. They even have "kids sushi" with swedish fish taking place of the raw fish. When the fireworks started, the lights dimmed and the music heard in the park was piped into the restaurant. Spectacular view from the 15th floor restaurant, certainly a highlight of the evening. California Grill was a perfect evening of great food and fireworks. I would recommend California Grill to anybody who wants to experience the finest in Walt Disney World Cuisine.
The Sci-Fi dine-in theater is a great addition to mgm. You go in and have a seat in a booth which looks like a car. The restaurant simulates that your in a drive in movie theater! The food is really great here and theres a lot to choose from. The movies are interesting to watch while you dine there also. So next time your in mgm around dinner time stop at the sci-fi dine-in theater!
On my way to MK for a tour, I stopped by Concourse Steakhouse to have a breakfast. The breakfast was fantastic. I had the steak & eggs which were perfect and a great way to start a day at Magic Kingdom. For dinner I encountered the same thing. Food was excellent, selection was excellent, and probably the most important the service was excellent. Great place for a nice relaxing meal. The monorail quietly soaring over your head, in my opinion is the best theming any restaurant can have.
The rainforest cafe is one of the greatest restaurants at walt disney world. What other restaurant has a rainforest themed interior, and has "rain storms". Its a great place to eat for all ages. The menu has a ton of selections, favorites include the coconut chicken as an appetizer, and any pizza or burger. To top it all over the have the ultimate dessert, have you ever had a huge brownie cake, with vanilla ice cream all over it with caramel, whip cream ,and hot fudge!!The Rainforest Cafe is a great place to eat and shop go there!
This one gets the "fun theming award". The car-shapped tables, cheezy sci-fi movie clips, and roller-skating waitresses are great touches. The food isn't great, but it's worth it just to eat in the theming. Stick to cheeseburgers and milkshakes that are hard to mess up.
Walk into the Brown Derby and it's a dream come true, just walking back in time to the golden age of Hollywood's favorite hangout. Theming is incredable from the characatures on the wall to the Streetmosphere characters that come to the restaurant "to be seen". The food is delicious and a great deal combined with the Fantasmic Dinner Package.
This elegant restaurant takes you to Paris though beautiful theming and wonderful food. Having the waitresses and waiters actually from France adds more to the feel that you are in a beautiful Parisian restaurant. One of the best in-park restaurants.
My husband absolutely loved the gumbo here. For some reason it is hard to find good prime rib, but their prime rib was wonderful. We are considering visiting POR on our next trip just to eat here again!
We ate here on our last trip and have already made our P.S. for our visit this October. Even the fussiest of eaters will find plenty to enjoy on this buffet.
The Pepper Market is our favorite place to eat. When you enter the Pepper Market, you will notice it's not your average food court. This is Disney's first new style, "interactive" food court on property. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. You choose your meals in a Mexican market-style set-up while walking from station to station and talking with the chefs. You are seated by a host/hostess and receive a ticket. The host/hostess will take your drink order. You then can stroll around the food areas, choose what you want to eat and receive a stamp on your ticket for each item you get (each guest receives their own card). At the end of the meal, you present your ticket(s) to a host/hostess and pay as you leave. 10% gratuity is charged automatically to your bill so be sure not to leave an additional tip on the table unless you feel the service warrented it. If you feel the 10% was not deserved, speak to the host/hostess when paying and it will be removed. The Pepper Market is open 6:30am - 11pm. The food counters include some awesome choices. My favorite is the Mexican Kitchen which offers tacos, fresh tortillas and something called a wet burrito (YUMMY!). A Wok Kitchen with traditional Chinese favorites. A Grill Station which includes steaks, burgers, rotisserie chicken, baked potatos and french fries. An Pizza Station that has calzones and pizzas. A Pasta Kitchen that offers traditional fettuccine/linguine/penne dishes. A Sandwich Kitchen that has a variety of hot and cold sandwiches. A Bakery/Desert Station that includes bread, sweet rolls and great cookies. A Soup/Salad Kitchen in case you ate too much at the parks. And not to leave out the kids, a Kids Station which includes the old standbys of chicken strips, hot dogs, pasta and pizzas all for $4.25 or $4.50 (very reasonable). You can get creative at the Pepper Market too. You can mix and match to your delight. Sometimes I'll order a baked potato and a cesaer salad or french fries with my pizza. Don't be afraid to ask for anything. For example, they don't sell breakfast sandwiches but I usually get a hard roll from the baked goods area and take it over to the grill area and ask them to put my eggs on the toasted hard roll. No problems, the CM's are very friendly.
This is the place to get a great sundae. They always put Plenty of Hot Fudge on it. The cones are good too.
I ordered a Taco Salad and was it Big! Right next to Pirates of the Carribean. It's kind of hidden away but not many lines. Quick service.
Caseys is the Perfect Parade food right on Main ST.
Cantina San Angel was an outdoor eatery that gave us a great view while we ate. My favorite part was the Churro I got for Dessert.
The Menu has changed a few times since I started going here but I never miss the lemon merangue pie. The price is right and it has plenty of A/C to cool you off.
The restaurant was beautiful, the food was average. My wife's salmon was just okay (and she is a salmon aficionado), and my steak had large, "gristly" lines of fat running throughout it. I found the kids' meals to be good, though.
If you like fried rice, this is THE place to go in WDW.
Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, and Goofy were ALL on hand when we visited, and we must have shot two rolls of film. From what I can recall the breakfast was good, but who has time to eat when there are so many characters around? Lots of fun for all.
Our first place to eat at AK didn't disappoint us. Terrific BBQ at decent prices.
Every visit to Epcot brings a lunchtime stop here. Ah... the cool evening in the middle of a hot day. Exotic environment and music. The food- really good but not great- and a little expensive for what it is. But overall, a really magical experience... not unlike the Blue Bayou at DL.
Too many bucks for such average food. PF Chang's serves much better food at 2/3 the price, for example.
Having been to France, we were interested in how well this Epcot restaurant would pull it off. Well... terrifically, actually. The food was better than what we'd had in Paris, and the service far more friendly. This expensive meal has been a major highlight of each trip to WDW. Worth the wait and the expense.
Talk about Bait and Switch! This vastly overrated place has an excellent and fun environment, but is probably the most poorly managed sit-down eatery at WDW. High prices, indifferent service, long waits. Tried it twice five years apart- never again!
The Cape May Clam Bake is excellent. The best Buffet at Disney. Ribs, Shrimp, Clams, and then some!
It costs as much to eat breakfast here than it does for counter service at the Polynesian. The french Toast is great. I highly reccommend dining here, Regardless if you are staying at the Polynesian.
IF YOU LIKE STEAK OR BEEF IN GENERAL THIS PLACE WILL NOT DISAPPOINT
GREAT FOR LUNCH OR SNACK. CLAM CHOWDER IN A BREAD BOWL IS DIFFERENT BUT A GOOD CHANGE FROM STANDARD FAST FOOD
I don't normally eat hot dogs at any place other than the privacy of my own home, but at grad nite I got really hungry and the only place to eat in the vicinity of the castle was Casey's. So, I sucked it up and got a hot dog. I was pleasantly surprised-the hot dog was very tasty. Definately a must eat place if you want a delicious hot dog & fries at a good price.
If you are celebrating a special occasion at Disney, you must visit Victoria and Alberts. The setting is perfect and there is no other place in disney where an experience like this can be found. The catch... I do not believe this restaurant is kid friendly. The menu would not suit children and the price is $$$$$. But if you are celebrating an anniversary or honeymoon at the world, this is the perfect place to go for the romantic dining experience of your trip!!!
This buffet is fun and interesting. There are so many new combinations of food to try. Some were not to my liking but others in the party loved. I found things I liked alot that others did not. There is a meat carving station and I passed that up for all the other new things to try. Don't be afraid!!!!
The theme is nice but the activities with the characters make it loud. The Character interaction and service are very good but the food just seemed average to me. I did enjoy stealing the pizza rolls off the kids buffet. It is definately an okay place to go but not spectacular.
Most of the food is extremely tasty. You can have as much as you want and it is difficult to choose what to have more of. The pork is the best tasting meat anywhere. I love all the salad and dumplings at the beginning too though. Save room for the pineapple and caramel sauce. Our first trip to 'Ohana we were so full and turned it down but our waiter was insistant that we would want it. He was right!
AFTER ROCK N ROLLACOASTER AND TOWER OF TERROR THIS IS A NICE PLACE FOR A SNACK AND REST !
WHEN AT MAGIC KINGDOM WE HAVE TO EAT HERE.FIXIN'S BAR IS A GREAT WAY TO SPICE UP A GOOD BURGER.
IF YOU LIKE SWEETS YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GO ANY FARTHER!
GREAT FOR A BREAK IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY DAY
QUICK FOOD FOR THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY DAY
GREAT FOOD,NICE DECOR. BE SURE TO GET RESERVED SEATING FOR FANTASMIC AFTER YOUR MEAL !!!!!!
GREAT FOOD,GREAT SERVICE=GOOD EXPER.
RUDE WAITER SOSO FOOD, TOO MANY GREAT PLACES TO EAT AT WDW TO WASTE TIME HERE!
TEX-MEX FOOD FOR THOSE WHO ENJOY IT WITH A WDW SETTING.
NOT MY FAVORITE FOOD BUT IT WAS WELL PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO ENJOY THIS TYPE OF FOOD.
NEW TASTES AND ENJOYABLE DINING
VERY ENJOYABLE -FOOD & THEME WAS GREAT
THE BEST CHINESE FOOD EVER
GOO FOOD, VERY ENTERTAINING.
NOT LIKE ANY REST. I HAVE BEEN IN!! GOOD FOOD, WILD SERVERS!
GREAT VIEW OF THE UNDER WATER LIFE,BUT TOO PRICEY FOR THE FOOD SERVED.
IF YOUR STOMACH CAN TAKE A LOT OF SMOKED FOOD ,YOU SHOULD LOVE THIS PLACE.
IF YOU LIKE TRYING NEW TASTES, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. BEING AT THE ANIMAL KINDGOM LODGE MAKES IT A GREAT MEAL.
GOOD FOOD-GREAT CHARACTERS FOR KIDS.
SINCE I AM FROM AN AREA THAT HAS A LOT OF FRESH SEAFOOD IT WAS JUST OK
GREAT FOOD, THEME OF ANIMAL KINGDOM LODGE ADDS TO THE ENJOYMENT
EATEN THERE 4 OR 5 TIMES. NOT UP TO WDW STANDARDS!!!
This will be the best dinning experience that you will EVER have. I have dinned in MANY exclusive restauraunts in and around NYC an none comes even close to this. This is an experience, not dinner
I was not impressed with this restaurant at all. It is too small and gets very crowded. I don't like the fact that you have to wait so long in line either. The food is very mediocre, with the exception of the ream.
I've been all around Disney World multiple times and have pretty much eaten at all the hot spots. I must say this tucked away restaurant on Main Street USA is a mainstay in all of my WDW trips. If you like Italian food, you can't find any better than what they serve. It's a little pricey but the food portions are large and excellent. The atmosphere is wonderful, as you sit down in the restaurant straight out of "Lady and the Tramp" If you haven't gotten around to trying Tony's Town Square, you should definently consider it on your next visit to the Magic Kingdom!
The theming was wonderful, but the food average, or below average on our visit. We had a table right up against the glass, and it was a wonderful experiance to eat next to the fishes. But the food was not that good. I've had better meals in national seafood chain resturants that what we got here. And the cost was very high, at over $100 for two people, this was to be our "special" meal on our vacation. Oh it was special alright, but not in a good way. Do The Flying Fish or Narcoossee's before this place.
Dinner is great. Not much else that I can say. I can't believe I waited so long to eat there. It's one of my favorites.
You can find something for almost anyone. The one thing about this place is that it's hard to find a seat during peak eating hours.
A good place to go to get some BBQ. I don't see why some people don't like it.
Cosmic Ray's is for those picky eaters among us because they have a little of everything. Burgers, fries, chicken, pizza, etc..etc.. The food is pretty good, they give you a decent sized portion and you get to enjoy it while being treated to a show by the lively, yet animatronic, Sunny Eclipse. Sunny provides songs, jokes, and a way to keep the kiddies entertained. Cosmic Ray's is the best place to eat in Tomorrowland.
If you can make the time for an unforgetable dining experience, Victoria and Alberts is a must. Simply put, it is the highest level of service and attention to detail(from personalized menus to the harp player) that one could experience. Yes it is pricey, but for a lasting memory of a special occasion it is a must.
Great Bar while waiting for your table. Awesome menu for the Surf and Turf crowd. Grab a seat by the window for excellent views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks, and the electric water pageant. Grand Floridian grounds are great for a stroll after dinner.
Lunch at Pecos Bills has become a tradition for us...we love the Mexican side of the cafe for it's terrific theming...the hamburgers are especially tasty here and I can't figure why that is since the food is typical fast food Disney style... ...do you remember when Pecos Bills wasn't entirely enclosed...when most of the sitting area was open and not air conditioned? I have some great memories of the old cafe but prefer the more comfortable arrangement... ..oh...don't forget to try the Root Beer floats...yummy!
This is my favorite counter-service restaurant in EPCOT. The pasteries and other baked goods are wonderful wether it's a sandwhich on a baguette for lunch or a serving of delicious chocolate mousse, you'll never be disappointed. Be sure to grab a table outside and pretend you're at a sidewalk cafe in Paris. Definatly a must-see in EPCOT, even if just for dessert.
Even though this reataurant is gone, replaced by Playhouse Disney Stage Show, I still think this is one of the best character restaurants ever found in Walt Disney World. The restaurant was originally a fast-food restaurant and its amazing theming recreated "movie sets" from films like Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Pocahontas. Characters often stopped by inside the restaurant to greet guests. This was a great deal, having character interaction at a counter service restaurant. It later became a full service buffet adding characters from newer movies as well. This was a great restaurant that is missed.
After hearing about the 50s Prime Time Cafe for years, my wife and I finally ate there this past June. Even knowing some of the bits and skits that occur during a meal there did not detract from the enjoyment of the atmosphere or the food. If you don't leave with a smile on your face and a full tummy, you've really had a bad day!
A superb coutner service location at the Studios. Features some great food in very pleasant surroundings. Look around the restaurant display cases for some great props from Home Improvment, and some very rare photos. While you eat, overhead monitors display upcoming shows on ABC.
One of my favorite counter service restaurants at WDW. Great tasting food, and superb seating along the riverside.
Located in the Grand Floridian, we've eaten at 1900 Park Fare several times over the last several years... The biggest disappointment in the last year was the changing of the characters...they use to have Villains at one time, then Alice in Wonderland characters with Gepetto and Pinochio...but now they have the Pooh characters which is totally redundant if you plan on eating at the Crystal Palace, which we do. We like to do character dining with different characters so we can get real nice pictures with as many as possible. The setting is not remarkable and the food is typical Disney buffet style but not as extensive in the desert area as in Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary. We were a little disappointed this summer with the lack of enthusiasm and the general low-grade attitude of the staff...and apparently we aren't the ONLY ones that feel this way cuz the restaurant was only half full at the prime eating hours...contrast this to a few years ago when reservations were a must. And this may be a very picky point but something we never noticed in the past...anywhere....Piglet's costume was filthy...I mean it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a year...perhaps picky but noteworthy cuz it just isn't like Disney to let this stuff go. Don't get me wrong...you'll get your money's worth here but if you plan on eating with the Pooh characters at the Crystal Palace, skip this restaurant.
Located in the Contemporary Hotel, we consider this the #1 restaurant for buffet character dining...Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Chip & Dale are all here and every half hour or so, they have the guests participate in a napkin twirling, howling good time...ya just won't find this at home. The menu is terrific...great selection from the Main course to the very sinful deserts...and there are the usual kids menu of hot dogs and pizzas if so desired...if you walk out without feeling full, it's your own fault. Plenty of time for picture taking...the characters usually make at least two passes by your table before you finish your meal...the setting is very Disney...with the monorail swishing by every few minutes or so ... just a delightful place. Highly recommend it for either breakfast or dinner...we never had problems getting same day seating but you need to be flexible with your time, otherwise, make Priority Seating reservations a day or two in advance.
Quite possibly the best in all of WDW. It has an awsome menue ranging from the exoctic to mac and chesse and everything inbetween.
If you are in the EPCOT area heading over to thebeach club for lunch at Beaches and Cream is youre best bet to appease the not so sophisiticated tastes of your little ones and the quality of food an adult expects. This is basically a burger joint, but the quality of them is really awsome, these are the best hamburgers in all of WDW. Also this is the place to get milkshakes, sundaes or any other dessert you can think of. Really a great place to eat.
The theming of this restaurant is absolutely excellent. The waiting area it just like a 50's living room complete with a black and white tv playing re-runs of your favorites! The food is fabulous, if you like that home cooking! Be ready to be stuffed!! The plates are FULL and you have to eat everything off your plate (its polite!)
I only go to Kona Cafe for one thing, the tonga toast.
This place has an awesome root beer float... the and the burgers (quite possibly the best at a WDW Fast Food place) are what keep me coming back.
When dining at Akershus make sure everyone enjoys fish. A lot of what they serve here is salmon and other types of fish. It's a buffet so I can't complain about the portions. In all I really enjoyed this resturant and would go back if I had a chance. The food is really good and it's a unique place to eat in World Showcase.
The menu has plenty of variety to it so everyone should be able to find something they like. I've tried a seafood platter and enjoyed it. The portion was large enough to fill me up but not stuff me. I must say though, the amount of fun you get out of it depends on your chef. There are those who'll toss and turn food all over the place and those who'll come out cook the food and run away (the chef that I had). In all I did enjoy the food, but the experience was very blah.
This is my all-time favorite restaurant at WDW because it not only has wonderful food but it is entertaining because you get to watch lots of cheesy previews for old sci-fi films and you sit in cars! Kids love this place and so do adults, I highly recommend it! If you go, be advised, save room in your tummy for their delicious milkshakes!
Make sure you stop in France and get a pastery!! They are just sooo good in here. They have a huge selection of pasteries and they're not that expensive either. I haven't gotten anything that I haven't like from there. If you have a sweet tooth, this place is for you!
I really enjoyed myself at this restraunt. The food was exellent. I had some kind of tacos with rice and beans. Everyone agreed that the food was very good. It atmosphere in there is very pleasant. It feels like you're outdoors in a market at night. The food was very expensive though. I would still recommend it to people.
The Sunshine Tree Terrace located just outside the exit to the Tikki Birds has only ice cream and soft drinks. It's actually fat free frozen yogurt, but you can't tell. mmmmmmm They also have citrus swirl, which is frozen yogurt and frozen orange juice swirl. They have root beer and cappuccino floats too. The one bad thing about the Sunshine Tree Terrace is the seating. There are vinyl seats that bake in the sun and the seating area backs right up to the Alladin ride.
There's no denying it, you feel you're in a perfect drive-in. Your tables are cars, the waiters and waitresses move around in rollerskates, and you get to watch old sci-fi trailers and parts of movies. It can be a little expensive for burgers and salads, but the theme is worth it. Kids will have fun eating in cars, but the overall theme may escape them.
Kids who love Winnie the Pooh will love the Crystal Palace. Characters from the Hundred Acre Wood (including Winnie, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore) visit with guests. On occasion, Pooh will dance around the restaurant to his theme song to the delight of all of the kids in attendance. The breakfast buffet is standard and good, with the added benefit of waffles imprinted with Pooh character portraits.
I love Pecos Bill, to me they have the best burgers in the whole World. They also have a great dressings bar. And the best of all, if you time your meal time just right, you can save a spot for the parades (the best spot for parades, in my opinion, are along Pecos Bill's porch).
They have a great selection, a little bit of everything, but this is best known for its shows. If there's not someone playing live, you'll be entertained by a show that is out of this galaxy!
Casey's has the best hot-dog in the kingdom, 'nuff said. You can get a dog in the cart at Frontierland or at Liberty Square, but there's just no comparison. If you like hot-dogs, this is your place.
The Linguini Fra Diavolo (clams, shrimp, mussels, calamari in a spicy marinara sauce) was outstanding! The kids loved the pizza and spaghetti. Portion sizes were large. This restaurant offers the Fantasmic! Dinner Package - a great meal and minimal waiting for a great show. Highly recommended.
Artist Point is at Wilderness Lodge and it is moderately themed accordingly. The high ceiling, the paintings and the decor fit in nicely with Wilderness Lodge and provide a nice dining atmosphere. This restaurant is not going to be for everyone however. The menu is incredibly diverse, but the selections are all themed toward the American Northwest. Where else can you get Buffalo, Venison, Rabbit and Elk on a regular basis? Diners must be willing to be somewhat adventuresome, or the experience is truly lost at Artist Point. The service, much like California Grill, sets the standard in my mind. I have never had bad service there. In fact, the staff goes out of their way to answer any questions and make suggestions on the menu. They even offered me the option that they would bring me something different, at no charge, if I did not like the Buffalo I wanted to try, but was apprehensive about. They didn't have to make good on their offer! Artist Point is very quiet and offers a rather tranquil dining experience. I haven't experienced it with a child yet, but I will in November and I'll update this review then. This is probably the top choice on my personal list of favorite restaurants anywhere. I traditionally like to go to Artist Point on the last night of a stay at "the World". It's a good place to "say goodbye" from.
California Grill is one of Disney's best restaraunts hands down. It is expensive, but you are paying for extremely high quality food and service. Every meal I've had there has been incredible. The service by the wait staff sets the benchmark for all sit down restaurants in my mind. The menu selection is always varied, guaranteeing that even the pickiest person will probably be able to find something to satisfy their tastes, as long as they are willing to try gourmet, fine dining. As to kid-friendly, can't really speak to that from personal experience, but I will after my trip in November! The best time to dine is to time it to be there when MK closes. The restaurant sits atop the Contemporary looking over the Lagoon and MK and at closing of MK the lights are lowered and they pipe in music from the MK fireworks show. You can usually sit at your table and watch the fireworks, or move to the bar/lounge area, or an outside observation deck to watch. Overall, this restaurant is one of my top three favorites anywhere.
This is one of the best fast food places in MK. The selection of food is huge! They have three different counters with many different types of fast food you can get. The place is also very big inside, so you usually don't have a problem finding a seat. Cosmic Ray is somting to watch while you eat, if you really listen to what he says he can be pretty funny sometimes.
We went here for lunch. The menu was pretty limited in selection. The service was very slow in this restraunt. I think our waitress had too many tables to handle at once. The food was exellent though. I enjoyed the onion soup, and some kind of crepe. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food and said it was very good. Overall this restraunt was good. It had slow service, limited menu, but had exellent food and it wasn't too expensive.
OK... I'll be blunt. To this day I am scared of this place. The snacks were good, the tea was good, but our server was... how do I put this in a polite manner... TOO FRIGGIN' "HAPPY" FOR HIS OWN GOOD (I work in WDW Entertainment, so I can judge!)! Oh yeah, and it was ridiculously expensive, even for a tea room.
It's kind of sad to say that they only serve burgers, fries, and hot dogs in this place. All the other pavilions have a sit down restaurant and I would hope that they would have one here too. American Adventure is such a grand building and there's a fast food joint stuck to the left side of the building? Thats a sad image for the world to see...America & fast food. Ick.
This is one of my favorite meals in WDW- period. I could eat here every day of the year, and still keep coming back. The Flank Steak is superb, the chicken is great. And the 1930's-40's swing motif is happening. I've loved swing and big band for years now, and this place has it. This place is a good tribute to the Hollywood that never was, and always will be
This is my favorite restaurant and well worth every penny. If you are at WDW for a special occasion then I recomend this restaurant fpr a truely magical experience.
The electric Umbrella is a typical counter service Restaurant. It's located in Future World. There should be something for everybody in the family on the menu: burgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken fingers, etc. There is a generous amount of seating, including seating upstairs. Not bad for a quick bite to eat.
This is a great place to take the whole family to... especially on a birthday (horsey ride anyone?). The food isn't bad, but I've definitely had better, but since you can eat as much as you want, that definitely makes up for that. The service was beyond phenomenal, and it's in the Wilderness Lodge- my favorite resort.
You'll truly feel in the frontier in this one, and the fact that it has one of the funniest team of CMs in the World makes eating at the Whispering Canyon a great experience. They even have horse races in there! It's mostly smoked meat and Wild West food, but it does come in large portions.
If you don't want to eat at the Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kindom, this is the place to go. The portions are big enough to split between two adults and the rotisserie chicken is the second best we've had on property including full-service restaurants.
Easy to miss but one of the better counter service restaurants. Always remember that fruit can be substituted for fries.
The seafood was excellent, and my kids loved coloring the (paper) table cloth! The steamed mussels were particularly tasty.
This is one of our scheduled stops for lunch no matter what resort we are staying at. We have only eaten here for lunch but the pizza is excellent and my wife contends it is the best she has ever eaten. Usually you can walk in w/o priority seating and who can argue with the view of the concourse. The crab cakes are excellent as well.
I know somepeople really like this place but we've had nothing but bad luck with it. The food has for us been the most consistently bad of the counter service. The only reason we've found to stop here is the gingerbread house during the holiday season.
Great Food and good entertainment. If you go for lunch as opposed to dinner you get basically the same portions for a lot less $$$. It is like Bennihannas but better.
This is nothing more than a fancy Chop Suey restaurant. Real Chinese food is more than beef with broccoli, fortune cookies, egg rolls, and dim sum (brunch item) as an appetizer. I would hope for something a little more exotic for my tastebuds. Nothing too extreme but something at least diffent from a chop suey menu. I'd highly suggest visiting another pavilion.
Service was a lot better when some people worked there on the CP that don't anymore.
Like most counter service places in the world showcase Yakitori house has a limited menu. We were not disappointed in our meals there. The service was very fast. The serving sizes were very good for the price. There are very few tables indoors, but the seating outside is in a lovely garden.
The Kringla Bakeri og Kafe is the small cafe in the Norway pavillion. If you are looking for a place with an extensive menu, this isn't it. It's really more for dessert or a light meal. We stopped in to Kringla on our last trip to WDW for a snack. I had the strawberry creme cake. It was so good, there were even big pieces of strawberry in the filling. The portion size was good, enough to satisfy a sweet tooth or curb the late afternoon tummy rumblings. There is no indoor seating, but the outdoor seating is shaded by a sod roof. It was nice, cool, and quiet- a great place to relax.
In my opinion the Pepper Market is the only bad thing about Coronado Springs Resort. The thememing is very nice and the food is average for a resort food court. However, the prices for the food are higher than most food courts and you have servers following you around and pushing in your chairs. There are also cast members stationed by the drink fountains to refill your mugs for you. For these services they add a mandatory gratutiy to your bill. Personally this type of service made me uncomfortable and seems like a bit of over-kill for a moderate resort. The way the food court itself is set up is clever. It's made to look like a market, just like the name suggests. When you enter you are given a card. You take this card with you to the various food stands, order what you like. You then take your over- priced food ;-) and sit down to eat. If you would like something else just go up and get it and have your card stamped. Once everyone in your party is done eating take your cards up to the register and pay for your meal. It seems like an easy way to do things, your food doesn't get cold while you wait to pay either. I would imagine though that many people end up spending more than they had planned because it's so easy to go up and get more food. When we stayed at Coronado Springs, after experiencing the Pepper Market we avoided it and chose to eat either in the parks, other resort food courts, or off property.
Delicious French pastries! There are so many to choose from that it's hard to decide which one to try. If you're going with a group I'd highly suggest picking up a couple of items and splitting it up among everyone, that way you get to try a lot more pastries. From all the items that I've tried, not one has been bad. Bon apetit!
I've had lunch here many times and havn't been disappointed once. Selections vary from salads, sandwiches, dessert, pasta, bbq and more. That way everyone in the family can choose thier favorites. There's plenty of seating around and there are plenty of attractions close by. If you're intertested in doing Living with the Land pick up a fast pass then grab a meal. By the time you're done eating you can hop on the ride. If you have kids, check out the Junior chef area and watch you're kids 'cook' something up.
The food was alright. I would try it, it's one of the better Italian eateries in Disney World. A Disney-fied Olive Garden!
The size of this restaurant is fairly small so make sure you set up priority seating when dining here. From my experience, I really enjoyed the food at Le Cellier. I ordered a prime rib and it was delicious! It was done perfectly and was very tasty, not tough at all and just the right portion. Dessert selection was also good too. As for the pricing is a bit expensive. Bit if I had a chance to do it again, I would SURELY go back.
The decor of this restaurant is very nice. As for the food I would have to say it's okay. I've tried the food here and it wasn't as flavorful as I though it would be. I do know that they make thier own fresh pasta, so that's always a plus. As for service, I wasn't too happy with our waiter. He seemed very pushy and insisted that we get a certain dish he recommended-which turned out to be mediocre. Hopefully others didn't have this happen to them.
Boma is a buffet restaurant offering food from different regions of Africa, as well as standard American fare. I would not recomend Boma if you are not an adventerous eater. I think it would be difficult to feel you got your moneys worth ($21.99 for adults) if all you had was mac and cheese and chicken fingers. They serve Brekfast and dinner only. I have only been to dinner and loved it. They offer a different menu each night with certain staples offered every night (zebra domes for dessert mmmmm). They have a variety of smoked and grilled meats. From my experiences (only 2 visits) they have had chicken, prime rib, beef, and fish. There are soups, salads, breads and spreads, and many side dishes from Africa. The one thing that I tried that I didn't like at all was the cous cous Marakesh. The desserts are incredible, in my opinion they alone are worth the $21.99! The zebra domes are the best- they are a kahluah mousse concoction- just wonderful! Also the passion fruit tarts and pineapple upside down cheescake were very good! The dinner price of $21.99 for adults includes soft drinks but not specialty drinks or gratuity. They offer a variety of specialty drinks and a list of African wines as well. Advanced priority seating is required for dinner at Boma.
The Rose & Crown is really the typical english pub. The menu serves traditional english quisine, and the themeing is excellent. The portions sizes are very generous, and excellent value for money. The Rose & Crown provides a perfect spot to view the Epcot fireworks from, so be sure to book a table ready, as it tends to get very busy around the time of the fireworks.
The dishes are hearty and very tasty. All while you sit in the middle of a rainforest, soaking in the surroundings. There's so many things to see that you'll still be in awe when you leave. Gorillas, rain, gigantic fish tanks, butterflies and the passing of an ocassional thunder storm. If you ever get a chance give the waffle fries a shot, they're really good. That's the first thing I think of when anyone reminds me of Rainforest cafe. It's good eats!!
When first entering you'll seriously think you're drive in. You're table is a car and you'll get to watch sci-fi movies on the big movie screen. It's fun and the food truely matches it's theme. It's basically sandwiches, shakes, and sides. I've tried the milkshake and onion rings and they were pretty good. Both were rich and hearty. As for a complete meal, I don't think this would be the right place. I'd suggest it for a quick bite and another place for dinner.
First off it's a buffet with plenty of food. I enjoyed the food that they served there and went for plenty of helpings. The apple struedal is especially delicious! From my experiece, I enjoyed everything about Biergarten. The entertainment was okay, but I wish there was more. I only saw 4 guys sing and play instruments on a large stage. Seating is also quite different. Instead of having your own table, you're seated with other parties. I believe the table has seating for 10. This gives you a chance to meet people from another parts of the country or even world! If you're not comfortable with this, make sure you let them know. I'm sure they can accomodate a table for your party only. Give it a shot, I'm sure you'll like it.
I've dined here with a friend once and the food was very 'classy'. As for my experience...I had ordered salmon and remember the taste as more of a home cooked meal, rather than a restaurant style dish. The salmon that served was similar to the version of my mothers cooking (very home-y). As for this type of restaurant, I would hope for something totally different and with more uniqueness to it. It may be one 'odd' experience, but this is how I felt about dining in this restaurant.
Remember all those family values from the 50s? Sitting in the proper manner, saying please, excusing oneself, and not putting your arms on the table... Well they're alive and well in the 50's Prime Time Cafe. The servers live by these rules and if you don't listen you'll get in trouble LOL. With servers like that and an atmosphere of tvs and 50's style dining room, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time. As for the food, it is pretty good but I wouldn't consider it a high quality meal. I've had a meatloaf dinner and it was pretty simple and not too heavy. In my opinion, 75% of the dining experience would be for the atmosphere and 25% for dining. If you're interested in giving this place a try by all means do so, you'll have the time of you're life. But if you don't want to be bothered or just want a filling meal I'd suggest going next door (Holly & Vine).
It´s my favorite! I love that I don´t have to go get my own food and still eat all I can! I have only tried it for dinner and I loved it! Banana bread baked in their oven...mmmm! ;-)
I've tried both breakfast and dinner and this restaurant and it's a blast. It's a family style meal which is similar to a buffet. Waiters and waitresses come by the table and serve you what the restaurant has to offer. If you ever need more just ask and you'll be given another hearty serving. As for entertainment, it comes in the from the characters themselves (during breakfast). They're usually running around the tables greeting everyone. It's a great way to get photos with you're favorite Disney character! Besides characters, they restaurant also holds games and parades with adults and kids! And when you're finally have some time you can soak in the sights from the restaurant. With a view of the Magic Kindom, parts of the Polynesian, and the Seven Seas Lagoon you'll truely feel the magic of Disney! TIP: When planning your dinner, try to set the meal around the time of Fantasy in the Sky at the Magic Kingdom. The restaurant will dim all the lights down and turn up the music so you can have you're own viewing of the show.
If you want to try something new, this is a great place to start. How often do you get to Morroccan food anyways? I've dined there twice for lunch and dinner and the food was delicous. The food is nothing too exotic (or they would never get anyone dining there)so you'd shoudn't fear getting something stange on the plate. If you're still unsure, check the the photo menu located outside the pavilion. That will solve any qualms about what you'll be eating. Entertainment is part of the dining experience too. With musicians playing on stage, you can dine and enjoy the atmosphere. At certain times a belly dancer will come out and make the experience even more enjoyable. She'll perform for everyone dining and will even pick guests out to dance with her. I've been one of those guests and have great pictures of it (LOL).
The rainforest cafe is like nothing you have ever seen before....it actually LOOKS like a rainforest! Just behind our table was a life sized gorilla! The menu is very substantial, offering something for everyone, the portions are more than adequeate! The service was good, but sometimes a bit slow. For the ultimate in dining experiences, be sure to check out the rainforest cafe!
If your family is picky about what they eat, I would suggest trying Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. Their selection is great! Everyone can get what they want. The portion size is good also. You might even try splitting some of the meals. Very good! If you're like me, and can't stand eating turkey legs, this is where to go in Tomorrowland! A+
Animal Kingdom is my favorite park. But, I found this restaraunt to be very bland. I ordered a chicken sandwich, and I don't know, maybe there was something in the water, but it wasn't very good. The views from the deck were good to look at while eating, but I think I would have rather eaten the algae growing on the posts. I would save my money for elsewhere.
There's 'lunch' items on the menu: basically sandwiches and hot dogs. But if you're into ice cream this is one of the best places for it! Ice cream brownies, sundaes, and other sweet concoctions are available. If you're feeling a serious need for ice cream give the kitchen sink a shot! 2 scoops of every ice cream they have, and a sweet dose of every topping they have should cure you're crave for ice cream.
