On the whole, I enjoyed this restaurant. It was fun to get in from the heat, sit in a "car" in a drive-in and watch cheesy sci-fi movie previews and cartoons while I ate. This is one of the most innovative ideas for a restaurant that I've ever seen. My big complaint was the way the "cars" themselves are set up. Each car has three booth-type tables one behind the other. I was seated in the middle of my car, so I had a couple in front of me and a couple behind me. And the booths are really close together, so I could hear everyone's conversations. I just felt really uncomfortable and unhappy about that. It's the only time, as a solo diner at WDW that I've ever felt conspicuous about dining alone. Also, if the diners in front of you are tall, they block your view of the screen. Other than that, the food was good and the service was excellent. The menu is not fancy, but that's okay if you just want a quick burger and a milkshake. And a unique atmosphere!
Great variety, great view. Jiko puts a different and very interesting twist on otherwise very traditional foods.
Great place for adults to enjoy an upscale, , quiet, ad relaxing meal. The entire resort transforms you into the Pacific Northwest. The menu and food preparation are above average, and the service is the typical friendly Disney service. Simply not the type of place most children would find enjoyable.
Generally speaking, we love San Angel because of it's atmosphere. The food is just ok and somewhat overpriced for what you get. We've probably been to San Angel around 12 times or so over the years, and all but one time have really had pretty good service. If they try and sit you by the restrooms, tell them that you don't want those seats as they really don't allow you to enjoy the atmosphere which is really why most people eat here I believe. Shopping is fair, with an authentic Mexican flavor. The River of Time water ride is an excellent ride to just sit back and relax, but I would caution you not to ride right after you've eaten as you can become sleepy during the 5-minute journey. When we visit WDW we'll always make a point to eat at San Angel at least one time during our visit, however, truth be known, we prefer the more casual food faire at the outside Cantina.
A very good counter service restaurant. Serves good food, a great toppings bar, and very importantly has plenty of seating - Perfect for a pre-Eride night snack!
Le Cellier is a mainstay to any trip we make to Epcot. On our honeymoone last year, we ate there three times in ten days. It was better than the big fancy dress up restraunt at The Grand Floridian. Its better than any steakhouse I a have been to, and I'm from Texas!!!!!!!!
I love this restraunt. I think it makes a great place to do lunch for two. If you can get a seat near the windows, you will be treated to a beautiful view of the World Showcase Promanade. The menu is great, with tons of delishious food to choose from. Big tip: Don't skip dessert!
We loved the setting, the food, and the character interactions. A great way to start the day before heading to the Magic Kingdom!
I enjoyed the assortment of breads, and the salmon was good. The food is authentic (or at least it's not American) and may not appeal to every palate. The Paint-and-Eat Troll Cookies, though, are worth every penny of the $2.50 or $3.50 they charge for them. They are brought to you with the "paint" (colored corn syrup) in little circles next to the cookie (a sugar cookie). Fun and tasty!
The food is really secondary to the theming of this restaurant. This is a FUN place to have a meal. The TVs showing old black and white classics, the tables made to look like 50's kitchens, and the waitresses performing as much as serving. Wow. If you happen to get Auntie Claire for your waitress, under no circumstances should you put your elbows on the table. You know how much Mom doesn't like that!
There's a lot to like about the Kona Cafe, specifically the delicious food and the top-notch service. The only place it falls short is the atmosphere. It's on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House and is wide open to the lobby area. Were it more closed off, I think it would have a more intimate feel.
This is always our first night's restaurant. Food is excellant, and the service is wonderful. I have eaten here with just adults and with grandchildren and everyone has always been treated wonderfully.
For lunch this place is great. The turkey would be my favorite. I also love the chocolate shakes there. They're so rich! We ate their for dinner on my 13th birthday last year and it was great. I got a card from the characters and had everyone sing to me. I know most of the restuarants at WDW do this but this one made it really special. I love having the characters come around. They're all dressed up for the themeing. This is probably my favorite restuarant in all of WDW.
Get the chicken kabobs! lol The sauce they serve with them is the best. I have to go there every trip just to get them. The belly dancer is always fun. I love watchin the men drool over her! lol
the vertical fans in the main dining room are the best!!!! lol this was the 1st thing i did at OKW and it really helped me get into the disney mood. try the cesear salad and the cheese burger. both are really good
This was my first trip to Ohana and it was a memorable one. We were celebrating my Mother-in-law's birthday and the staff made one she's not likely to forget. I know they say this is all you can eat, but they bring out so much food to start with that I was stuffed before I could even think of seconds. Highlights for me included the wontons and the peanut butter dipping sauce.
I would definately say that this restaurant is on par with other eateries on property like the California Grill. The filets were incredible, and you have to try the duck and pork firecracker as an appetizer!
Worth a try if your into Chinese/Japanese food. Even though the menu is not too exspansive it does offer very good choices. The quality and portion sizes well exceed the price even though sometimes the service can be ok due to the language barrior. Otherwise a great dinner "show" and great food. The childrens menu is definately cute with a little mickey look alike ice cream to top off the meal. Great dinner and sushi!
With a pretty hefty price for the dinner buffet I was hoping for some great food---my expectations were exceded! The food was one word- unique! If you want to get the real flavors of Africa you can get no closer! If you have a sensitive stomach I would not recommend this buffet but if your out to try anything definately do it! The desserts were to die for! Definately worth the money! Also like all Disney restaurants they definately catered to the kids with peanut butter and jelly sandwitches, macaroni & cheese, and fried chicken. Definately worth a try!
When I went to this restaurant, I did not know what to expect. Who knew it would be a great show just to be able to watch the cooks toss around the food I was waiting to eat! One problem I saw was that someone could order a certain size steak and get the same size as the other guests that ordered a smaller portion. Besides that, this experience was excellent! Keep the children away from the cooking area!!
You know this place has to be good when your 15 year old chooses it as her place to go for a good report card. The ambiance is great.. the non stop characters is awesome and the food... the brown gravy is out of this world, the prime rib is always my favorite shade of red and the bleu cheese dressing is to die for. The desserts are downright delicious and it even has stuff for my diabetic husband... and its just as scrumptious as the fresh fruit topped cheesecake. Definatly one of the ultimate best.. and for the amount and quality of the food along with the character interaction the price is really reasonable.
McDonald's food, Disney prices. Sure the theming is cool, but it's still just a McDonald's. Need I say more?
A must do (if ya can get in). Though it may seem pricy, it is worth the money. You get to eat in the place that is known worldwide. Priority seating is hard to get but once you get it, sit back and relax and enjoy the show.
The best character breakfast yet. More on the buffet than any other breakfast. Many characters to mingle with. Will try this place for dinner on the next visit.
This is a great place to grab a meal in Animal Kingdom. It has counter service and rather limited choices, but the food is plentiful and very good. I highly recommend the rotisserie chicken, which is juicy and flavorful. The restaurant has a very rustic decor, and is a nice place to stop off, get a bite to eat and rest up a bit.
I ate dinner here as part of a Fantasmic dining package and it was an excellent experience. Dining is buffet style, so you can pick and choose what you'd like to eat, and control your portion sizes, go back for seconds, whatever you'd like. There is a wide variety of foods, everything from soup and salad to tasty desserts. The atmosphere is cool, too. Like something out of an old movie. It's a great place for dinner at your own pace!
Our kids loved it..I thought it was a bit pricey (imagine that for Disney) but it was a nice and Quiet get-away from the noise of the park.
I just kind of wandered in here by chance one evening when it was starting to rain and I was hungry for some dinner. And, boy oh boy, am I glad I did. I loved the breadsticks they served and the cheese soup was absolutely delicious! They cooked my steak to perfection. All in all, it was a very lovely dinner, made even better by the friendliness of the CM who waited on my table. And the atmosphere was very quiet and relaxing. I'll make sure I go back next time I'm in Epcot, but this time, it won't be by chance!
Poor Quality food... evertime here... Better Chinese food (and more Authentic) guarenteed virtually anywere else.... The Walkup "qickie" food area serves the same stuff.... Definately make this near the end of your "Gotta try this country" list.
Everytime I visit MGM I always make it a point to eat here, because it's so much fun! The CMs really get into their roles as Mom or Auntie or Uncle, and that makes for an entertaining meal. One caveat: this is not the place for you if you have a hard time dealing with this sort of roleplaying. But if you get into the spirit of it, you'll have a good time. The theming is very retro 50s, with televisions running clips from old B&W tv shows. The food is pretty average, ranging from fair to good, I've always enjoyed my meals there. The portions are fairly large, so bring your appetite along with your sense of humor and you'll have a unique dining experience! It's a fun place!
This is a "must do" for us every trip. We were so disappointed it was being rehabed during our last trip we are going back just to eat here (ha ha)
We go to WDW a couple times a year--gets lots of mileage out of those Annual Passes. :-) One of my never-miss treats is dinner at the CP. The Tiramisu is the best. When we went in February I learned that it wasn't available for lunch. When I asked the waiter about it, he went to the kitchen and got me some. This stuff just makes my visit.
MMMMM My favorite refreshing stop in the MK. I always stop here for a pineapple dole whip float with pineapple ice cream. So creamy and smooth...making my mouth water just thinking about it. :) I usually have about 1 a day during my WDW vacation. hehhehe ;)
...but skip the fries. Casey's Corner does have very tasty hot dogs, but I thought the fries left a lot to be desired. Mine were not very crisp, not very hot, and they were lacking in flavor. It's nice to have a hot dog and sit outside and watch the people go by. This is a good place to stop if you want a snack.
I ate breakfast here once. The food was not as decent as what you would get at a Denny's and the portions were nothing to cheer about either (which is actually a kind of blessing in disguise if you think about it...). And everything costs about 1/3 more than what you would pay at Denny's. The constant din of commercials for ABC shows was annoying. Skip this. At least as far as breakfast is concerned.
Easily one of the top restaurants in WDW, Boma is an experience not to be missed. Featuring the flavorful foods of Africa (don't miss the bobotie, a traditional South African dish with a sweet and tangy quality), Boma is more than a mere buffet. My favorite dishes were the peanut butter rice (yes, you read that right), the bobotie, and, ohhh yeah, the zebra domes. If you aren't staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Boma is worth making the trek out there. It's a meal you won't forget.
Whenever I arrive in the Magic Kingdom, this is my first stop. I can't start my adventures without a frosty, sweet Dole Whip under my belt. These pineapple/icecream confections are not to be missed! Try one! You won't be sorry.
A great little place to hide out during the hot middle of the day. Though you are indoors the theme makes you feel outdoors during the night. Your table is a car and you can watch old sci-fi movie shorts while you eat. Most will make you laugh. The food was good for sit-down service. Felt stuffed too quick though.
Has a good buffet of cold meats and cheeses. Highly priced for what you get, probably due to the seafood selections. I would recommend it for lunch if youa re going to try it.
The idea and theme to this place is good but the food came out on the bad side. Lots of mixing of flavors and food that do not normally go together. It is hidden near the exit to Muppetvision, maybe for a reason. They will let you write in crayon on the walls inside, just ask.
The food is great and the pasta is made in front of you. If you don't have priorty seating just snag a seat on the patio. I wasn't sure what looked best so I just ordered the smapler platter. It was great! Just melted in my mouth. If you are on a diet, stay away from here. If you are out to enjoy food you have found the right place.
You will learn the meaning of: "A clean plate is happy plate" and "No Tower for one hour". This is now one of my favorite places to eat now at WDW. We had the very nice 'Aunt Linda' serving us, but grumpy 'Uncle Tim' was nearby causing trouble. Be sure to eat ALL of your food. I had the shrimp pasta and didn't eat two pieces of cabbage. Note: that was a very bad move on my part! Aunt Linda started feeding me the last two pieces. I had to finish them or 'mom' wasn't going to allow me to have desert. This is a great place to eat where many of the cast get well into the role. Go in with an open mind and enjoy the show.
Great place to eat breakfast while waiting for that FastPass time to arrive for Test Track. For lunch just as nice and calm as breakfast as people seem to be heading for the World Showcase. Food is decent. It is what you would expect for the value menu.
The restaurant is located between Indiana Jones and Star Tours. I have passed it many times not knowing it was there. Just the normal quick and basic food and the themeing is good here as well, better than most value meal places.
A decent place to eat a quick snack and one of the few places open for breakfast in MGM. Good for those on the run or tight budget.
At Ohana's everyone is your cousin. The menu is the same for all but there is plently of it. If you happen to run out, just ask for more. The peanut sauce is GREAT! There are games for the kids every half hour or so (yes big kids are allowed to participate too!). Great service and loads of fun and food. This is one of the better places in Disney where your dollar goes further for the meal you get.
A great place to finish a tour of animal kingdom lodge. don't be afraid to try the new and different food. The chefs are very helpful.
We visit WDW often. It has become a tradition that one night we have to have dinner at The Yachtsman. We have always taken our children and the wait staff go out of their way to make them feel welcome. I will never forget our first visit when our waiter helped my 5 yr old son cut his steak. Well he is 15 now and he insists that we go there. The food is excellent and the portions are just right. The bread and roasted garlic before dinner is to die for. They also have a nice wine selection It is a little pricey - but in my opinion it is worth every penny.
The theming is very close to that of the original Shula's in Miami Lakes - Dolphins football. That's a good thing. But in my opinion that is where the good ends. Don't expect to use your room charge - since it is not at an actual WDW resort you will not be able to. Everything on the menu is a la carte - and a bit pricey for the portions. The wait staff are very attentive. Having dined at the original Shula's a number of times - I found the quality of the food a little lacking. If you have to have a good steak - make reservations at The Yachtsman!
First, lunch here is the best at the Magic Kingdom. The potroast and all the other items are great. Try the grilled poundcake for desert. Dinner has a great all you can eat family style serving. We even liked the flank steak. Turkey and all the trimmings as well. Liberty tree is definately worth the stop.
well this is the one thing my brother loved best about our disney trip.the servers were nice and super fast with the drink refills and the food was yummy and a buffet at that .The show was loads of fun too!
mmmm zebra domes are worth the trip alone and the soups are to die for
The really only draw here is turkey legs. Not much else, unless you want a Coca-Cola. My family, if they want a snack, usually eats here while in Tomorrowland. Not all that spectacular.
This is a very good "American" food place. There is AMPLE seating here! Even though I don't eat them, the hamburgers with the fixins' looked very good! Please, don't feed the birds on the patio. Some idiots did that, and they got what they deserved...I'll leave that to your imagination! This has to be one of the best places to view the afternoon parade. The food here is good, and the theming is excellent! Enjoy!
We waited for over an hour at this restaurant...that was just to get seated! We waited another half hour for a waiter to show up, and after we ordered the food took another 40 minutes to make its way to our table! By that time all the hot dishes were cold, and two orders were completely wrong! The selections on the menu seemed about on par with a local Applebees, certainly not worth the long waits and rude service. We will never go back to this restaurant!
This was our favorite counter service eatery in the Animal Kingdom, perhaps in all of WDW! The portions are large, the menu has some variety, and the food was excellent! Also, even at 12 noon on a day when Africa was jammed to the gills with people, this restaurant was very uncrowded! We had no wait to order, and tables were plentiful!
This is the one restaurant where an Italian fan, like me, can really enjoy the food @ Disney. Plus you can sometimes catch a parade on main street, and the Lady & the Tramp setting is great.
I've eaten here twice, the first time being the definite better of the two. The waitress was a scream w/ the whole 'I'm your mother' routine - telling my dad to get his elbows off the table and the guy eating nearby had a 'I pick my nose' note put on his back was great! The background w/ the tv's, the viewmaster for desserts, and the main courses were all top-notch - give this place a spin!
Although Mama Melrose's has food that an entire family (even with picky eaters) can eat something they like, the food is VERY overpriced. However, Mama Melrose's is a nice place to sit and relax. It is a very out of the way place and a great way to relax after a stressful day touring MGM Disney Studios1
The food at San Angel Inn Restaurant is very good and the atmosphere is excellent. The menu has a decent amount of dishes and all the ones I've tried were excellent. But, I can't stress how nice the atmosphere is, especially the part overlooking the ride.
HUGE PIRTIONS AND DELICIOUS AND EXOTIC TASTES. A MUST TRY.
This a very upscale place but the food and service is excellent. Try them out. I had one of the largest steaks I have ever seena nd it was perfect!
Stopped here for lunch during our last visit. Staff very friendly and attentive. Really liked the food. Theming not as good as other World Showcase sit down restaurants, but we loved being able to sit outside. Maybe a little pricey, but you have to expect that at Disney.
This was a good place to eat if you want to eat at each country. It is alot like the food you would get at you local chinese restaurant. The service was not bad but not good either. This is an overall good place to eat but not the best.
Tony's is one of the best places to eat in WDW. The service was great and the amount of food was just great. You will not leave hungry at all. The prices were not high due to the amount of food recieved and the great service.
Really good atmosphere! I had a chicken sandwich and my husband had the meatloaf and we really liked it. Our waiter didn't make our experiance there as fun as it should have been. Another waiter serving tables near us was really good so we enjoyed laughing at other people getting picked on. ;) I am shy so maybe that was a goog thing!
This was a convenient(sp) spot in Fantasyland to get a quick bite to eat. We had a hamburger, a hot dog and fries and even carrots for the kids. It was a good price for decent food.
This was great. I was impressed with the buffet! They have such good food too. We ate lunch there and it had Salmon! It had a wide variety of food and awesome desserts. Great food for kids and very kids friendly. It was an added plus to see Pooh and friends!
This was so great! The food was all you can eat and the waiter kept bringing what ever you needed(not a buffet). They served french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, cinnamon rolls, hashbrowns, fruit, cheese filled danishes and coffee and orange juice. Of course the added plus of seeing all the characters was priceless. I thought only Cinderella was going to be there but everyone was there! Belle, Snow White, Prince Charming, Mary Poppins, The Fairy God-mother and Sleeping Beauty! A wonderful experience!
This was one of my favorite casual places to eat. It had really good western food. The all you can eat special is what we had. It served ribs, pulled pork, baked chiken, baked beans, salad, corn on the cob, new potatoes and rolls/cornbread. It was really good and it wasn't too expensive.
This is my favorite place to eat. We got lucky and got to see the fireworks at MK one night! The food was so good! I had the scallops and my husband the swordfish. We had the crab cakes for an appitizer and they were good too. My only dislikes were the rolls they served(too hard). The portions are small but the food makes up for it! This is the kind of food you spend 100$ for dinner on. Loved it!
This resturant was very expensive for average food. I had the Salmon and my husband the Buffalo steak. My Salmon was average and plain to me and my husband enjoyed his steak. The food was just average, not outstanding.....and for the price it should be! Our total ticket with one kid was 140$. We had wine and dessert. My husband didn't like his dessert but mine was good. He had a chocolate cheesecake thing and I had Cappichino Creme Brule.
Olivia's Cafe is one of the best resort restaurants out there. Not the greatest but pretty darn close to it. Some of the items on the menu are a little too different for my taste but I enjoy what is given that I do like. The 1/2 pound burger is the best!!
This is a pretty good place to eat at the Magic Kingdom. The food is not bad; the Clam Chowder in a bread bowl is excellent. Nice atmosphere and the prices aren't outrageous.
Our family really enjoys the Coral Reef... it's so much fun to watch all the fish and sea animals while you're eating! It's fairly good food... but the atmosphere is what makes it one of the best restaurants in Disney World.
My favorite part about the California Grill was when they turned the lights down and let us see the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom. It was unbelievable. It made the whole trip even more wonderful. The food was great too... I really enjoyed it here.
I love this restaurant simply because they have what I think are the BEST chocolate milkshakes! Its a tradition to get one :)
I make it a point to eat here every single time I'm in MGM. It could just be that my fiance and I like old sci-fi movies, but the atmosphere is the best I've ever seen. Watching the movie clips is just always fun, although I wish the cycle was a bit longer. And the food is fantastic! The service is awesome, on roller skates mind you!
Every time I'm at Epcot I make sure to eat my way around the world and my fav stop for pastries is this place. I never had a pastry I didn't like.
What can I say about the Rainforest Cafe that hasn't already been said? Nothing really but I'll tell you again why this is one of Disney's best restaurants. The theming of this place is outstanding. I can't really think of a better themed restaurant outside of maybe the Sci-Fi Dine In. Perfectly themed and the animatronics are great. The menu is superb. My personal favorite is the Brave New World. It's a BBQ Chicken Pizza. Doesn't sound too enticing for some, but if you try it, you will not be left down. It can be kind of pricy, but what isn't at Walt Disney World. Anyways, if you haven't eaten here yet, don't make a mistake. Check it out!!!
Bar far the best character dinner we have been too in WDW! The location is incredible with the monorail passing overhead - fab. There's a character overload - Minnie, Goofy, Donald Chip & Dale and of course the big cheese himself. The kids loved every second of it! Plenty of photo ops and shot more film than Spielberg! Food is fab too. If you only do one character meal during your stay, make sure it's Chef Mickey's
This is an excellent Steakhouse. The service is wonderful.
My Husband and I decided to eat here at the last minute. Fortunatly for us we were visiting at a slower time of the year, and were hungry after the lunch/before the dinner rush. we were seated within ten minutes. My husband, who is not a steak fan, loved his steak. It was cooked just right with the perfect amount of seasonings for flavor. Our servers were very helpful! Over all it was worth the money, and we had a great time.
We were not overly thrilled with the Sci-Fi Dine in theater. It was a neat atmosphere, but it got old pretty quickly. The food was ok, but not worth the price. The most "authentic" feature was the three little red ants that were visiting our table.... Gross!!!
We last ate at Artist's Point in the summer of 1999 but it remains one of our favorite restaurants at WDW. I recommend the asparagus soup, the grilled venison appetizer, the shellfish hotpot (excellent with Hogue Fume Blanc), and the piece de resistance is their cedar plank salmon. This menu, with wine (2 glasses) and dessert was $83. The view is wonderful. . .
The Concourse Steakhouse has outstanding filet mignon. The theming and location.
We (my wife and I) make a point to visit the California Grill as frequently as possible. The cuisine is quite good, the wine list is phenomenal (all are available by the glass), the service is some of the best on-site, and the ambience is perfect. Vegetarians will find ample fare here and the showcase kitchen is a delight; or, you can gaze out upon Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon as you dine. This is not necessarily a place to take the kids and it's one place you *might* want to dress up a little. Either way is ok. Please note this restaurant will become quite crowded when the MK fireworks are close to starting. The menu offers 'contemporary California cuisine' and has something to offer everyone. Some of my personal favorites include the sushi & sashimi samplers, their raviolis, and their variations on the grilled pork tenderloin. If you're a fan of good food and great service, make your PSs for the California Grill.
All you can eat, with cook to order omlettes. Worth the wait. Enjoy breakfast then enjoy a walk around the resort where you can see some of the animals of Animal Kingdome.
If you want a meal in a park, GO HERE. If you want a character meal, GO HERE. If you want great food, GO HERE. The all you can eat buffet is great. I've eaten every meal here and will try and dine here every trip I make to the Studios. It's worth it. Breakfast is great, the only negative thing is that there is no omelets. Other than that, the food exceeds every other breakfast that I've had on Disney property. Lunch is very similar to dinner. Both are excelent. Characters aren't present at dinner, so the atmosphere is a little quieter than breakfast and lunch. Some of the best food I've had is located in this restaurant. The desert bar is one of the largest I've seen at Disney and has some of the best deserts on it. If you want a short line for the restrooms, DON'T GO HERE. Sharing with 50's Prime Time, the restrooms can be quite busy.
I recently ate breakfast at Boma. It was great. I love the house juice. Carlos the omelet guy is awsome and is extremely quick. One thing that I missed was that there weren't traditional biscuits. The selection of the rest of the food was great. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone staying in the lodge and would try and schedule a trip even if you aren't.
We usually don't do "sit-down" meals but this is an exception. It's a given that we eat at RFC once during every vacation. Portions are large enough to split, at least for us. Themeing is on par with Disney itself. We've never had a bad meal. The Volcano desert was enough to satisfy the four of us. Alway a great experience.
