Did this for the first time ever, and am sorry I waited so long!! The food was good and plentiful - some of the best ribs I've ever had, and the strawberry shortcake was to die for. I could have made a meal of just the salad and cornbread alone. And the entertainment! We laughed so hard our faces hurt. Go prepared to be silly and just have fun with it - you won't be sorry. Definitely worth the price of admission. I just wish I could give it higher than a 10.
We did dinner for the first time - much better than the breakfast I had 2 years ago. The turkey was moist, the beef tender, and we certainly made a dent in the bowl of peel-n-eat shrimp. Good kid's choices, and very nice dessert section. Excellent character interaction - we actually got to see everyone twice, and they did a good job of getting everyone involved in the dancing and napkin twirling. A really fun time.
We had 2 children and 4 adults in our party and none of us enjoyed the food! The turkey was dry and flavorless, the so called steak was chewy, dry and tough. The potatoes had little to no flavor, the cranberry relish had a weird aftertaste. The stuffing was passable but with no main dish to eat what is the point? and the veggies might have been good if they were hot. All the food was cold like the veggies. We didn't try the catfish because none of us are catfish eaters. The kids had Mac and cheese and chicken. Out of desperation, my sister tried the mac and cheese and she said that wasn't even good. My kids didn't do more than pick at it so I guess she was right. I do have to say the character interaction was great, the decorate your own cupcake was a hit with the kids and the waitress was good. She did ask us if we wanted anymore of anything and when she saw that the only thing we were asking for more of was salad she said to us "well at least the salad is good". Perhaps it was a bad night, but we will not be going back to pay all that money for salad and passable stuffing.
My family and I love The Crystal Palace. We eat there each time we come to WDW. The food is also excellent and Pooh enough said. Planning a trip in June, our first stop in the Magic Kingdom will be The Crystal Palace!!!
this is one of my favorites in disneyworld - great selection of food satisfied a varied crowd (2 kids under 3, 2 grandparents and 1 very thankful mom). lots of simple, predictable choices as well as fun new things to try (the african preserves with baba ganoush, couscous & pita were my favorite!
My husband and I enjoy eating at Animal Kingdom all the time. We usually eat at Flame Tree, but we were excited to try something new. We were very disappointed with Yak & Yeti quick service food. We dined at around 1:00, so it wasn't even an "off-peak" time, but the food tasted like it had been sitting there for a while. I had the honey chicken ($8.99). It was supposed to be crispy with a honey glaze sauce, but the pieces of the chicken covered in sauce were soggy and those not covered in sauce were dry and on the cold side. The sauce had seeped down into the rice and it was very soggy - and I typically like sticky rice. My husband had the beef dish and said that he wouldn't have paid $5 for it (yet it was $10.99). You can get much better Chinese at a local take out place for half the price. I recommend Flame Tree BBQ, Tusker House or Pizzafari over this place. Perhaps the other dishes were better, but we were not pleased with our overall experience.
When we were there in April of 2008, we lucked out and were able to get a lunch resie a month out. My wife loved the cheese soup and used it as breadstick dip. As all others have said, the steak is fantastic. My personal favorite thing about this location was the atmosphere. From the walkway leading up to it to the dining room. I was quite suprised to see how really small it was! There are lots of mirrors in there which give an impression of a much larger hall. We will be going there every time we visit WDW!
Boy do I miss Alfredo's. I have found Tutto to be an awesome place to eat, if you like horrible service, small portions, and rude staff. Our waiter didn't even make eye contact with us, nor did he allow time for us to decide what we wanted to eat. The food came out in less than 5 minutes of us ordering which made me question the authenticity of it and offered a more cookie cutter approach. More or less the Lasagna I got was very good but the portions were very skewed. What I don't understand is how they can charge $13 for a small wedge of lettuce and some dressing drizzled on top. Either way it wasn't a pleasant experience and I would not recommend it to anyone for their trip.
The Earl of Sandwich is a good choice for something quick and tasty. However, the place is usually VERY busy, and the ordering and pickup process can be chaotic at best. There is also a high likelyhood of not getting a seat at busy times. Food quality is good, and always fresh. However, if you frequent places like Quiznos, or Wolfgang Puck, you can probably find a better sandwich, in a calmer environment. The Earl is definitely worth a visit, and with some changes to the setup, it could be a great location.
For my family, the Yak and Yeti Counter provided us with THE best photos of our kids in all of the World! The little section to the left of the service area made a spectacluar photo. My given bias aside: We loved the food. I have a soft spot for sweet and sour chicken/pork and egg rolls and this place delivered! Yes, I suppose that is the "cheeseburger" of asian food, but I love cheeseburgers too! The only drawback was the seating area. LOTS of sun, very little shade and far too few seats. Even with that, we will visit again and again for our counter service meals. May I also recomend the Y & Y table service meal, it was twice as nice!
Hello, I undestand that this is a new and busy restaurant at Disney, but without a doubt usually Disney goes to a great exent to serve quality and perfection for fulfilling people's dreams! This was not the case last night 11/29/08; here is what I ordered Mahi-Mahi tacos' (Tribal Taco's), water, and a glass of cabernet wine. To start off no one cleaned to table at the bar...it was vial and sticky. I asked to have it cleaned and the waitress said she would. I ordered my meal, wine and water. The bar area seemed understaffed, and the floor area was not clean. I did not have to wait too long for my glass of wine, shortly there after my water came. I did not taiste it, due to the fact it was really there to wash down dinner after I finished my wine & food. My dinner came, and the appearance was fine, but the Tribal Taco's did not have all the items that the menu had stated - no sour cream and avocado. Also, the dish only taisted like salt, no fish flavor, and the portion was very small in each taco. Finally, I finished my meal & wine, then went to wash it all down with the water. Oh my, tolet water would hewv taisted better. It was minerally, bitter, and smelled bad! So, when the waitress asked if everything was OK - I told her about these issues and she stated that others had complained before me and that she has told management. But, she made no offer to make it right - this is usually Disneys first move - to gain satisfaction, or make it right! PLEASE IN THE FUTURE DON'T OPEN A NEW FACILITY UNTILL YOU HAVE WORKED OUT ALL THE BUGS AND MAKE ME SUFFER FOR YOUR LACK OF MANAGEMENT SKILLS - I WILL NOT RETURN TO T-REX! Charles Siegel
My mom and I just returned from a weeks stay at Disney. We had dinner at Le Cellier our last day there, Saturday 11/15. What a fantastic ending to a great vacation!! We both started out with soup, I had the cheese soup (perfect for dipping the pretzel breadsticks, mmmm) and my mom had the onion soup (delicious). For dinner, I had the Filet and my mom had the NY strip, we both raved about every part of our meal. I could not get over how delicious my filet was, it was the best I had ever had, without exageration!! For dessert, we had the Creme Brule and the Apple Crisp (sooo tasty). I strongly recommend this place to everyone. The food, service and atmosphere is fantastic. Make reservations well in advance it gets booked fast! You WILL NOT be disapointed!!!
Going into Wolfgang Puck Cafe, I knew it would be a restaurant that wouldn't directly relate to the same "atmosphere" that Disney portrays in most of their other restaurants. But when we entered, I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere has its own spin put into it, but it's one that is very family-friendly. One small gripe I did have was the seating space. The tables seemed too close together, and I almost felt a little cramped. However; the view was great! We were right next to the window, and had a great view of the waterfront (I believe facing the Boardwalk area, not sure though). Our waitress was attentive enough, nothing hugely special in that area. The menu I thought was a little limited, so I just ordered the pepperoni pizza. I also asked for it to not have the extra touchings like the sauteed mushrooms, and they were happy enough not to include them. The pizza itself was very good and very tasty, I really enjoyed it. At least one of the other members of my party didn't enjoy their meals that well, but I liked mine at least. For dessert; I think I had either the key lime pie or the white chocolate truffle cheesecake, don't remember which one. But I do remember the dessert being very tasty, and I liked it a lot. Overall; I consider Wolfgang Puck Cafe to be average, maybe a little too average for its own good. I think they could of improved in the areas of menu selection and placement of seating. But the food they do have is plentiful in portions and I think most people can enjoy it. One final note though; I think its placement in Downtown Disney West Side is the perfect area!
My daughter and I ate at Earl of Sandwich two times when we were shopping at Downtown Disney (first time we were Downtown and absolutely LOVED it!). The seating is very limited and Earl's is so fantastic that there should be more seats available. Both times we lucked out and one of us found a table while the other ordered. They make each sandwich fresh to your specifications but THE very best part of eating here is their fresh baked rolls which are still warm as you take your first mouth watering bite! We will make Earl's one of our destinations whenever we are blessed enough to take another vacation to Disney World :-)
My grown up daughter and I ate at the 1900 Park Fare Character Dinner on our last night of our Disney trip. What a magnificent way to end our time at the happiest place on earth! The restaurant setting is beyond lovely and is extremely beautiful. We had advanced dining reservations and had very little wait time before we were ushered into the dining room. The food selection was very plentiful and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. So much so that we both went back to enjoy seconds! The dessert selection was very tasty and offered some nice choices. Aside from the great food, the "show" and character interactions have to be the highlights of a meal at the 1900 Park Fare!! Every character stopped at our table and they all gave us as much time as those tables with young children. I was very impressed with this aspect of our experience. The characters all posed for pictures with both of us. They included Cinderella, Prince Charming, the two nasty stepsisters and the very wicked stepmother. All of them took the time to have nice conversations with us and both of the stepsisters even personalized our chats. We were extra fortunate as while we were there one young preteen boy even proposed to one of the stepsisters complete with a ring! As you can imagine, that became part of the show with the two sisters arguing about the proposal. It was hilarious and such a marvelous time. Whenever we are lucky enough to go back to Disney World, we will definitely go the the 1900 Park Fare Character Dinner again. Everything about it was a perfect experience :-)
My daughter and I had been so looking forward to eating at the Coral Reef but were very disappointed in the food selection, quality and especially the extremely small portions. The atmosphere with the large fish tank is nice but seemed quite noisy. We had a great table just two in from the tank. But that did not off set our experience with the meals. I had read about the not-to-be-missed lobster soup and could not wait to try it. So I ordered if even though it was not included in the Disney Dining Plan. I was very let down with the flavor and the small size of the cup, for $8.00 no less! I ordered the Grilled NY Strip Steak which was again, small and nothing special. It was served with the smallest amount of potatoes au gratin I have ever had. Certainly not what I would expect for a $33.00 meal! My daughter ordered the Grilled Chicken Breast which was tiny and dry. She also had the same potatoes, again with a small portion. The desserts were also disappointing in size and nothing special. All in all, we did have the experience of eating at the Coral Reef once but with the food and prices, we will not be back again. Once was plenty.
I surprised my 26 year old daughter with dinner at the castle and it was without a doubt, one of the highlights of our Disney World trip! We did have a bit of a wait for Cinderella to arrive before our experience could begin. But the wait is in a beautiful castle setting so that helped pass the time as we took picture of our lovely surroundings. I did not know what to expect as far as the time we would actually have with the princess since it was just the two of us grown-ups. I was so pleasantly surprised that Cinderella gave us as much time and attention as she did to families with young children. We had pictures taken of the three of us together and they came out marvelously. Definitely helped make the price so very worth it. We had a magnificent window table and enjoyed an absolutely superb meal! I ordered the Roast Prime Rib of Beef which simply melted in my mouth and was cooked to total perfection. The accompanying gratin potatoes were equally as delicious and how I wish I could have taken enough back home to last me a year or two!! My daughter ordered the Lemon Lavender Chicken on Mashed Potatoes and was as impressed with her food as I was. The chicken was flavorful and moist. We both completely enjoyed the Chocolate Cream Cheese Buckle for dessert. The castle atmosphere is beautiful and very impressive. We took so many great pictures of our lovely surroundings. The "show" is a bit short and I am not sure how she does it, but the Fairy Godmother, despite her age, moves so quickly that it was impossible for us to get her picture! The mice stopped by our table and posed for pictures with both of us. This was such an incredible event for both of us. It was one of our best eating experiences along with one of our most memorable times we had during our trip :-)
This was our fist time eating at the Crystal Palace but it will certainly not be our last! I was a bit hesitant about doing another buffet dinner since we had such a horrible experience the night before at Chef Mickey's. But am I ever glad we went :-) We did have a bit of a wait even with advanced dining reservations. But we were able to wait out on the porch which is lovely but a bit hot in August even at night. My daughter and I loved the setting especially when you first walk in and see the Pooh, Tigger and Friends display made completely out of flowers! It is a great place for pictures. The setting is so lovely with all the glass windows. It really has such a beautiful, relaxing Victorian feeling. We thought the selection of food was fabulous and everything we both tried was excellent, warm and cooked perfectly. In fact, we both went back for seconds and completely enjoyed every single delicious bite!! With the magnificent atmosphere and fantastic food, the Crystal Palace is now one of our favorite restaurants at Disney World :-)
My daughter and I began our vacation with dinner at Tony's Town Square and ended our vacation with lunch from Tony's! This has always been one of our favorite places to eat so I made sure we have advanced dining reservations for both meals since we were vacationing during August. Our dinner was absolutely sensational and it still melts in my mouth :-) I had the NY Strip Steak which was cooked to perfection and I almost didn't need a knife to cut it. The Baked Romano Cheese Potatoes were exceptionally delicious and I would loved to have taken some home. My daughter had their Spaghetti and Meatballs and she loved it. We both had the yummy Ice Cream Bomb which was almost too much at the end of such a tremendous meal. We love the beautiful setting, especially the Lady and the Tramp fountain. We always have to get a picture in front of it. We had no problems with our reservation and our waiter was great. On our last day we did lunch and again we enjoyed a marvelous meal and service. My daughter had her favorite, the Chicken Parmigiana, which lived up to her expectations. I had the Meatball Submarine which was terrific. This time we sat near the sunroom and had a great view of Main Street. In our opinion, Tony's Town Square is a gem and is definitely one of our favorites :-)
i worked there and they are pricey but i did like everyone pronouncing it wrong its gear ar delli
I love this place! You get all you can eat and it's a chance to eat some foods that you wouldn't normally eat. Not everything on the buffet is my personal favorite, but it's worth it to get to try something new! They even have a buffet with food for kids so if you don't like the African food you could always eat that. It's not as expensive as Jiko but you still get a fun experience.
We went back in April 08', Uncle Dave was our server. The kids enjoyed the atmosphere and the waitstaff. Food was excellent. The pot roast is absolutely to die for. We will definately eat here again on our April 09' trip. A must see!
I love the Brownie Sundaes here, reasonably priced too!
I love this restaurant. I have been going here since I was a little kid and I have never been disappointed. It has always had great food. It is a fixed menu but it is easy for eveyone to find something they will enjoy and they keep it comming until you are stuffed. The restaurant rotates and shows you the scenes from the land ride as the characters come around and visit the tables for pictures. Its definitely 1 of my top 3 Epcot restaurants.
I have visited the 50's Prime Time Cafe a handful of times from about when the studios opened to this year. Most recently I was very disappointed in the food quality. The atmosphere was great as always but the food actually made me sick. I ate some of the onion rings as an appetizer and they were so oily I couldn't touch my meal. I took a very nauseating bus ride back to my hotel. My girlfriend was picking up a souviner she had delivered to the hotel. While waiting for her to do that I had to run full speed to the nearest restroom and lost my lunch. I really dont know how I made it to the toilet in time. Thank goodness for that. But I doubt if I will ever go there again. Ill stick to the Sci-Fi Dine In and Brown Derby from now on.
We were very impressed by Spoodles. The main dining room was noisy, but nicely decorated. The open kitchen is a nice addition as well. Our server was not the best, but we seemed to be the only ones having trouble. As for the food, it was awesome. Everything was well seasoned, prepared, and cooked. I highly recommend eating there. The steak kebabs were excellent.
We've had a T-Rex Cafe open for over a year now, and the first time we went, it was fun for all. The atmosphere was chaotic but the grandkids LOVED it. We were placed in the Extinction Room where the noise level was almost painful, and conversation was impossible. The next time we went, we asked for the Ice Room. Much better. Food was comparable to Applebee's or Chili's. Apps included chicken (Pterodactyl)wings, mozzerella sticks, and quesadillas (T-Rexadillas on the menu). Usual complement of salads, sandwiches, two soups, pizza, pasta dishes, burgers, and some seafood. Desserts were cheesecake, donut holes or chocolate cake. Portions were generous, so splitting entrees is a good idea. I think if you view the restaurant as entertainment, you will not be disappointed.
Great buffet with something for everyone. The Characters are great for kids too.
The Cobb Salad was one of the best things I have ever tasted, the chicken was great too. Our waiter was so nice. Even though it costs 2 table service meals on the dining plan, it's worth it.
The Character Breakfast is AMAZING! The food is great and the characters are great for kids. I definitely would eat here again :)
The sandwiches are very good! Good portions for the price. My favorite quick service location in Downtown Disney.
The Breakfast is quite good. Love the cinnamon rolls.
My husband and I decided to give T-Rex a try on their second day of operation. It was very busy, we had to wait over an hour for a table for two. We were expecting a long wait so we weren't too bothered by it. The restaurant is very well done and the service was very good. They did a great job with the theming. I wouldn't call the dinosaurs animatronics, just moving figures. They aren't Disney caliber, but they would cost millions each if they were and that's just not practical, so I can't fault them for that. T-Rex is divided into different themed rooms. I don't know the names for all of them but there is: the Shark bar- with a giant octopus and very cool aquariums. The fire room, the ice cavern, the sequoia room, and the fern room. My favorite was the ice cavern because're completely surrounded by "ice" and cool lighting effects. The room changes color and really looks icy. The restaurant is very loud and I wouldn't recommend it for very small children, children who don't like loud noises, or who are easily scared. I heard quite a few screaming little ones. But overall I think kids would LOVE T-Rex. Every 20 minutes or so, like at Rain Forest, there is what I would describe as a storm. It gets very dark and even louder. The dinosaurs all go crazy and the lighting changes color rapidly. It's not a place where you can carry on pleasant dinner conversation very easily. I went in to T-Rex with low expectations for the food, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was simple, not gourmet by any means (why would you expect gourmet food in a place with giant dinosaurs?) but good. The portions are HUGE! I would recommend splitting your main course. I had the panini, it was a bit on the dry side and I was expecting it to be grilled but it was a cold sandwich. It was good though and I would have it again. We were too full for dessert but probably would have skipped it anyway- the dessert menu consists of only 3 uninspired desserts. Overall I'd say that T-Rex is better than the Rainforest Cafe and a MUCH better choice than Planet Hollywood especially for families. I think its a great addition to Downtown Disney!
I love this place, I found out about it when I went on the Keys to the Kingdom tour, and make a point of eating here everytime I go to the "Kingdom." The anchors away sandwhich is the best, it's a huge sandwhich and you get a choice of chips (Miss Vickies) or carrots and it's reasonably priced. It's nice to have something other than the usual hamburger / hot dogs.
After reading some of the reviews about the food I was a little concerned going in. Very pleasantly surprised!! Get the meatball thing and eat all the smoked Salmon you can handle! Lots of time with the Princesses (Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Jasmine, and Belle). Will definitely schedule this again!
Last year I gave Nine Dragons an enthusiastic 10 rating, it’s always been an emotional favorite of mine as I’ve taken my son there for many years, we loved the food, the service and the location. Sadly when we booked out our annual trip to the Mouse House this year “Dragons” was closed for renovation however by the time we made the trip (first week of October) it was again ready to serve! I rearranged our dining reservations just to keep our tradition alive. Entering Nine Dragons we were a bit perplexed, nothing esthetically seems to have changed much, reports of cooking stations where chefs could interact with the customers did not exist. We were on the Plus Dining plan which incidentally has also changed in the past year, gratuity is no longer included nor are appetizers the later not being a crushing blow but the gratuity issue immediately rubbed me the wrong way and here’s why. It is no secret that for all the greatness of Disney they’re unrepentant weakness comes in that they charge an exorbitant price for food. Without the Dining Plan we would have paid (on average for two adults) $75.00 a night for dinner (and we’re not big eaters), which would have been $450.00 over 6 nights plus $150.00 for counter service, ouch! So the Dining Plan is a great money saver however, when the check comes they clearly mark the recommended tips at the bottom of the bill, showing an 18% and 20% tip! Now where I’m from average service starts at 15% and in some situations that’s even a stretch and truth be known out of 6 table service meals we only received exceptional service at Ohana’s and Chef de France for which the waiters received in excess of 20% tips, 3 dining experiences were merely average and the service as Nine Dragons took the cake for poor bed side manor! Although he crowd was extremely light the waitress in question barely made it past our table to take our order and when she presented the check, pointed out clearly in no uncertain terms where I could write in “the tip”, advised us that “the tip” was NOT included, that “the TIP” could be charged to our room or that I could pay “THE TIP” in cash! I can’t even remember her asking how our meal was, which for the record was what could be expected from any take-out place down the street. Now to steal a phrase from the Richard Nixon “let me make one thing perfectly clear” I am not cheap and will reward exceptional service with an exceptional gratuity, however if the service is sub-par or the server is just going through the motions I’m not embarrassed in the slightest to reward them with what they deserve, call me a cold, heartless curmudgeon but in a few EXTREME cases I’ve left nothing at all. Just dropping a plate in front of me will certainly not make money fly out of my wallet nor will a waiter or waitress making the amount of the tip a higher priority than the quality of service they provide cause dollar bills to spill onto the table. Sadly I’m not sure we’ll be back to Nine Dragons and can only hope that Disney will remind their staff at every level that good service starts with (can you imagine) service, I don’t need to be treated like a king but I do like to feel that my patronage is appreciated and that I’m more than a seat filler with a hole in my head that you pour food into.
Stopped here for a late night snack while waiting for the parade to begin. The CM who was supposed to be taking my order, ignored me for a while as she chatted with someone in the kitchen. I was the only person in there, standing right in front of her, and she just kept talking! The CM behind the counter was much nicer, and more than made up for it. And though I was only charged me for one meal, the chatterbox had accidentaly entered an order for two. So the nice CM gave them both to me and sent me on my way with a smile! The food was okay.
First time there...food was ok...entertainment was great....sat in level 3 on left side of stage.....just a real fun time...kids loved it
ate at lunch time....perfect service....very nice person....talked to the kids....great food....will eat there again for sure
Horrible service...never asked us for a refill...came back twice during our entire meal..once to ask how it was & the other for our dessert. food was not that great either. the aquarium was nice. but that was it. Oh & we sat down 30 minutes after our reservation & that was at lunch time.
It was like a flavor explosion in my mouth, and a party in my tummy! Awesome food! Will eat here again.
It was nearly empty when we stopped for dinner. It was nice being able to spread out and relax for a bit. Not that impressed with the food.
Good, quick service. Chicken nuggets were good. Nice place for a quick snack or meal.
Great burgers! DD really loved Sunny Eclipse and ate just about all of her food while watching him. We really enjoyed ourselves here!
Great dogs! Great fries! Great piano player! Could do without the ducks and duck poop.
We arrived at 6:30 for a 6:50 dinner ADR, only to be seated at 7:30!!! DD was complaining she was hungry and tired, and as a result, by the time we got to eat, she barely ate anything! All the yelling and hoopla really annoyed us, as we were already annoyed. We will not eat here again. It was so not worth it.
Horrible experience...from all the steps, to being out of breath and having your picture taken, to our crappy service, and mediocre food. We will never, ever, ever, ever, ever eat here again. Disney closes PI, but this place stays open??? I don't get it. Take it's supports away and let the big blue ball roll off.
I wasn't too impressed with our breakfast. The buffett line closest to our table closed, and had me thinking that both sides were closed, so I never went back for 2nds. It wasn't until we were leaving that I noticed the other side was open. DD got to meet JoJo, Goliath, and June & Leo (from Lil Einsteins), so she was happy. All these character dining experiences, though, had her eating very little of her breakfast.
Eat here! Eat here! Eat here! We loved our food, we loved the service, and we loved the atmosphere. DW and I both ordered NY Strips and they were devine! The best steak ever!!! Well worth it!
This was our first table service and first character experience. We enjoyed the buffett and DD enjoyed meeting Pooh and Friends. Nice atmosphere.
Well, she was dressed as Sleeping Beauty. But it was a magical experience for all of us! Food was OK. I can't see boys liking this too much. Except grown up boys like me who loved meeting the princesses as much as my little princess!
Husband and I love the sammies here. He likes soup, so always gets the tomato soup. Always crowded, but the line seems to move along pretty quickly. It is hard to get a table at times. Even the iced tea tastes fresh! Don't pass up the desserts either. I think they are so busy that it keeps the food fresh. Only complaint is the noise level... VERY noisy.
Husband and I are sure to eat here every visit - some times it's our first stop! We typically get the fish n chips. Great place to take a load off and the food has always been good and fresh. Service is fast and efficient.
We've eaten at the PH at Disney twice over the last few years, the most recent being in 2006. (The first one was around 2000) We did not change our mind - we still don't like it. Service unfriendly and slow, food just so-so. It's fun to look at all the memorabilia, but it hasn't changed much either. With all the great places to eat at WDW - I'd tell anyone to skip this place.
The entertainment and atmosphere are great. The food is good - not the BEST german food I've had but way up on the list! (I'm a little picky - my mother was born in Germany and my grandmother cooked for us all the time... ) I would defintely recommend it to any one.
The food here is pretty good. The variety is outstanding. The service is so so though. Don't let the review ratings scare you. Several people who wrote positive reviews forgot to add a rating therefor it automatically is set at 0.
I honestly didn't like it. The breakfast at the castle was way better. The food was not that great tasting at this restaurant. For the cost, I expect eggs that actually taste normal. The server was good though. She was really slow on drinks, but was really nice. Here is how I came up with my score Service 8, Food 6, atmosphere 5, wait time 6.
I was going into Tutto Italia with mixed opinions because I didn't know what to expect. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is purely of Italian flare, and the wait staff are all from Italy which makes it authentic. Our waiter was very nice, but didn't seem as attentive. But I can't really count it against him, as they were VERY busy that night. So the slow service in this case was understandable. I ordered the Pollo al Mattone (roast chicken) and it was very delicious. Meat was very tender and hot, I really enjoyed it a lot. I then had the cannoli for dessert, and it was so rich and sweet. I also was surprised at how huge it was! Overall, this is a very good place for Italian food if you're not in Italy itself. Check it out if you can!
I don't get the somewhat average/mediocre reviews for this place, I found it to be very enjoyable. The waitress was very attentive and always checked up on us very frequently. I ordered the pot roast and it was delicious. The meat was so tender and falling off the fork, definitely the best I've had in a long while. This was also the first time in my life I tried key lime pie. It was very good, very creamy and smooth. Overall, I was impressed; since I was going into this knowing the reviews it got from others here. The atmosphere and water view were really nice. (Had a great view of the World of Disney store!) Check it out if you get the chance, you may be pleasantly surprised.
The first meal of our stay (free dining yay!) was here. We were quite pleased with the service and food and felt our server was very attentive. Absolutely 2 thumbs up! :)
My Mom and I had 8:50pm reservations here on 9/17/08. We DID check in with no wait a 1/2 an hour early. I must say, any/all rave reviews you've heard about Le Cellier are TRUE! Our server was wonderful and our food was EXCELLENT! We both ordered the NY Strip and the pretzel bread was to die for :D (But hey, we are bread kinda people:) For dessert we had chocolate "moose" and Creme de Brulee (1st time for the second one) and both were incredible. In summary~Excellent food, service, and atmoshphere~not to be missed :)
We were lucky enough to get "free dining" for our last trip to DW (Mom/Daughter Trip 9/13/08-9/20/08:) and we both agreed that Hollywood and Vine was the BEST meal of our trip (we ate at Le Chef de France, Le Cellier, Garden Grill, 50's Prime-Time, & Planet Hollywood) Our waitress was wonderful! (went and got us butter because we couldn't find it :) and checked on us frequently. The food was unbeatable~excellent choices (in addition to being "all you can eat") and our wait was nearly non-existant despite folks without ADR's being turned away. We are planning to return here on our next trip!
I've always liked this restaurant, since first it opened. Honestly, I've probably never even had a great meal. As I recall food is average, and slightly slow coming. I go for the theming - it completely puts you in another time and place. Sitting in the cars, at the drive-in watching old horror and sci-fi movie trailers, I just think is a cool time. haha. It's just a fun flashback of a time I never got to be a part of. But if they try to seat you in a table not at a car, just say no, it's not as much fun. And be prepared if more than two people to not be able to sit and have a conversation, as the table in cars are in two seat rows.
Not sure I've ever had an actual meal here, but it's a great place to stop and have a soda and a rest overlooking "It's a Small World". Who doesn't love to people watch!?
Ate here in May 2006 with my mother. All I can remember is how busy this place was. We were hungry and needed to eat, but it was a hassle waiting in long confusing lines (because every station does not serve the same food) for just overpriced hamburgers. We could not find a place to sit, either indoors, or outside, and had to sit at a bench around a nearby tree, for a few moments until a table opened up. When your hot and cranky and just want to eat, this probably isn't your best bet when it's busy. I do recall having other meals or snacks on past trips with it not being so busy though, but it's very much changed since those days.
First time here was in '98 when on a special Christmas trip with entire family. My parents, grandparents and I, along with 5 other family members dined during the dinner character meal. We had a blast! The food was great, served family style, general enough choices for anyone to find something. Good old fashioned comfort food, with sasparilla as the special soft drink, I recall. The characters were so fun, you could tell they enjoyed their job, and made each and every one of us smile and laugh! And isn't that what Disney World is for?! My cousin, who is 18 now, even still recalls Goofy pushing her around on her chair! We still talk about it and laugh. We ALL enjoyed this time, ages 4 - 70... Visited again in 2006 while on a trip with my mother. Once again, a great time. Service was good, food was good, and as before the characters did not disappoint! We got some great shots with them, and you can tell we were just having a great time! I would recommend the Liberty Tree for an easy care-free character dining experience. Sit, relax, pig out, laugh, and take some smiling pics with your favorite characters!
We had the time of our life. Great show. Great food. Great time. Bottom line? YOU MUST NOT MISS IT.
The buffet is what makes this place work. You can get what you want based on what looks good and you can eat all you want. I give the buffet offerings a 10 and the food an 8. The characters and atmosphere are a 10.
The food was a 9. The atmosphere was a 10. The staff/characters were a 9. Loved it.
We traveled with my best friend and her DH (he had never been to Disney before). We had raved about LeCellier for months to our friends, Shelley and Tom, and LeCellier did NOT let us down or disappoint. It was definitely the best meal of the trip. We all had the cheddar cheese soup for an appetizer. Shelley and Tom fell in love with it (in fact, when Shelley got home--they left earlier than us--she researched and found the receipe). The pretzel bread was a big hit, although I really like the sourdough bread. Shelley had the New York Strip Steak with Roasted Yukon Potatos, and Tom had the Prime Rib with Roasted Yukon Potatos. Shelley and Tom said it was a terrific meal--both were able to cut their meat with just a fork--it was that tender. Mark and I both had the Mushroom Filet (me, minus the mushrooms--don't like mushrooms) with the cream cheese mashed potatos (yes, they substituted without any problem. The filets were tender, cooked to perfection without a piece of fat and just delicious. Tom who hates cream cheese tried my potatos not knowing what they were and kept trying to steal them the rest of the night. I had my favorite Disney dessert--Chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey Cake. The other three had the Chocolate Moose. We all loved our dessert and literally licked our plates clean. Shelley was given a Where Dreams Come True Certificate for her birthday as were we for our 25th anniversary. ALL of the CM's signed it. LeCellier continues to be a must do for us every trip.
Me and my girlfriend had dinner at Jiko last summer and it was maybe the best meal I ever had. I had the grilled pork tenderloin and. the sweet potatoe tamales. The portions were huge and absolutely delicious. The server recommended a great pinotage south african wine which was also amazing. Just being at the AK lodge is fabulous and both Jiko and Boma are my favorite restaurants. If you are looking for something different, definately try Jiko and experience a great meal with an spectacular atmosphere.
I've stayed at POP twice and have enjoyed it both times. I never had any problems and the place was neat and clean. While shopping, several of the CM remembered who I was which is nice with so many people passinf through. The food court was always neat - nothing on the floors and tables kept clean. The food was good and plentiful.
The bar itself was in a great spot however comma the bar tender was rude (not very atentive) and it took forever to get a drink. We left and went into the Main Lobby to get a drink instead. So if you are looking for a drink at the Poly go inside to the second floor and enjoy. Oh and the bar tender there was wonderful.
A wonderful place to kick back and have a drink to cool off, the bar tenders were very helpful and informative they had a lot of info on shows (Devine) and other places in WDW that we may want to check out. All in all lovely place.
The first time I ate there (2006) they had scalloped potatoes that were freaking amazing, pineapple bread, and a huge bowl of cocktail shrimp. Then this spring when we went, the shrimp had been replaced with grilled shrimp. While it's still pretty good, it's a pain in the butt to peal and eat. The old shrimp was so much easier, and you could dip it in several different sauces. I only had four shrimp this time, where as last time I had a ton. Fast forward to Saturday. Out comes the bread, "Hey where are the pineapple chunks?" It still taste sweet, but no pineapple inside. Then out come the drinks, we ordered 3 sprites and a lemonade, not hard. "Where's my sprite?" "Oh, I thought you wanted a water." "No." Quite the evening so far. Then out come the appetizers. "Here's the broccolli and noodles." "Where's the potatoes?" "We don't have those anymore." Instead of the amazing potatoes we have RAMEN NOODLES!!! What the hell?! I'm paying $30 for this!!! I don't want $0.15 noodles in a fancy bowl!!! The rest was pretty good but just not the same without the bread, shrimp and scallops. This place used to be our favorite on property, but now Liberty Tree Tavern takes back the prize. And Sunday at Liberty Tree Tavern was just great! The food was excellent! The service was super! And the characters made us laugh all night. We were in there for a little more than two hours!!! Two helpings of Mac N Cheese, tons of flank steak and turkey!! If they introduced the scalloped potatoes there, I don't think I'd ever leave!!! So for those of you going to Disney, try to get into Liberty Tree Tavern!! Not too expensive, all you can eat, and it's character dining! For the price, there's better.
The food was very good, including the appetizers. The service was very slow. It took longer than 15 minutes to get our appetizers, then our food came right on its heels. Our server was chit chatting to every table and not taking orders we were done with our meal before she came back and even asked if we needed refills on our drinks. The food was good just beware the bad/slow service. I may think twice on returning.
My husband and I ate at Jiko's in May, he liked the food, I did not. I had a chicken dish and it was so aweful I couldn't eat it.
We spent June of 2008 in Florida and like every year before we spent 12 days at WDW. This was the only time we've stayed at Coronado Springs. The staff and the food were fantastic. I only wish I could get the recipe for the appetizer. I can't even remember the name of it. My wife and son can be picky when it comes to new food items from new places. The appetizer disappeared bread and the dip were gone in a matter of minutes. The steaks were great. The wait staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
We go to WDW every year and stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter every year but one. On one of the nites it rained, instead of going back to a park we decided to make reservations at Boatwrights. Our waitress was more interested in her table of 12 than she was the 3 of us. She was very hateful when ask a question about the types of potatoes served. She walked past us 3 times with our glasses empty before she filled them. She brought the wrong food and to be honest the food there sucks. It was the worst experience I've ever had at Disney World or anywhere else for that matter.
We have yet to visit O'Hana for dinner (but we will very soon). We found it to be surprisingly good for breakfast. We had more character interactions than we have had at other, larger venues. And since the food is family-style, it was superior to the usual buffet food.
We went for the Playhouse Disney breakfast. The character interractions were fun. Our daughter loves Jo-Jo and the Little Einsteins, so this was a must-do for us. We had an unfortunate situation where Jo-Jo kept passing by our section. The place was practically empty, but she kept visiting the same tables and skipping our area completely. We were there for an hour and expressed to our waitress that we were ready to leave as soon as we got a chance to see Jo-Jo. After several promises that she would be right over to see us, the hostess eventually grabbed Jo-Jo and sat her down in an empty booth and then brought us over. The food was about what I expect from a Disney breakfast buffet. Not bad, but there was no WOW factor. Of the character meals I have done, this is the least impressive.
We always go to Prime Time when we go to Disney. The food is always good. On our last visit I had the pot roast which was spectacular. The atmosphere is fun. We've yet to be disappointed.
The food at Pepper Market is quite good. I just wish they had some more low-end options in terms of prices. You can't just grab the usual Disney burger. Plus, gratuity is automatically included in the prices. But all the servers do is bring you drink refills which you could easily get for yourself. I liked the Pepper Market. But I'd like it better if it also had some of the cheaper food from some of the other food courts.
This place was super busy when we were there. Sometimes that happens, but it made the layout a bit of a problem. Because there is different fod served at different "docks" I had to wait in long lines twice in order to satisfy my entire party. The food itself was decent and right in line with Disney prices. I just wish all the places that served hot sandwiches also had french fries.
We ate here on a really busy day. The wait was ridiculous. The staff was clearly exhausted and not especially friendly. I couldn't blame them entirely as it was a hot, unpleasant day and the lines showed no sign of letting up any time soon. Still, it fell flat of the expectaions one has of Disney. When I finally got my food, it was quite tricky navigating the jam-packed dining room with a tray full of food and sodas with no lids. The food was okay. Mostly McDonalds food although the burgers are a step up (they are Disney burgers). The price is in line with Disney food, which hurts a little as it is much more expensive than McDonalds. If you're trapped in the park and you want a counter service meal, Restaurantosaurus will fit the bill. But unless you have a really picky eater who won't eat anything else, I'd go for something else.
There was nothing spectacular about the Backlot Express. But we did get a decent lunch at the expected Disney prices. The atmosphere was enjoyable. Food was good, but not exceptional. There were no lines to speak of during our visit. And the toppings bar was quite nice.
We stopped there once for some drinks and stuffed pretzels. They weren't bad, but they were no better than something you might get at the mall food court. For what we were spending, I regretted the purchase. There was very little filling. So, basically it was just a hot pretzel.
The food just wasn't very good. My daughter's pizza was scorched and the adult meals were just okay. My oldest daughter had the grilled chicken plate which looked to be the best out of all our food! Staff was excellent, princesses were even better! They brought out signed birthday cards for both of our girls! This is a great character dining spot for characters, NOT for the food!
I can't find enough words to explain how wonderful this meal was. I was very disappointed to read the previous "blah" reviews and the last reviewer that rated the Bistro de Paris 4/10 - this is a 11/10! First off, I am a very picky eater so I didn't go in with high expectations or the thought that I'd eat everything on my plate. My husband and I were walking through the France area and stumbled upon Bistro de Paris and decided to give it a try. What a wonderful surprise! We walked in, in our daily attire and all sticky from outside - but even though we may have not felt the prettiest, they didn't treat us any different. Polite and helpful right at the start with the Hostess. We both ordered the Beef Tenderloin (Filet Mignon) plate. We were both expecting small pieces of meat and, because I am so picky, I wasn't expecting to eat the potatos. Oh my goodness, was I shocked when we got our plates! The Tenderloins were at lease 8 oz. (not sure exactly, they were just large for a Filet) and the POTATOS!!! They were the perfect "whipped" potatoes, and in the middle there were little meat shavings. It's difficult to explain, but trust me - I only eat meat and potatos - and this was the best (and of course, fanciest) I have ever had. For the $37/plate price - I was more that pleased and satistfied to hand over my $$$. Needless to say... desert was amazing as well. This is an EXPERIENCE. We were at the restaurant for an ENJOYABLE two hours. The staff (our waiter: Damien) was wonderful, checking on us and providing us rolls/refills/etc. I was happy to take the time to have a top-notch meal and really enjoy it. I was willing to give up $140 (with tip and 2 glasses of Chardonnay - delicious) for the food and experience we had. It was nice to to have to settle for a burger or chicken fingers or slob down food in a crowded atmosphere. It's been a few hours and I still can't stop thinking about this meal and experience. I'm axious to go back already. This is a wonderful place for you and your loved one to go to have a private and meal without feeling like you have to have a million bucks.
OMG - what can I say about this awesome restaurant? First, let me say that I am not a fan of "all you can eat" smorgasboards, but Boma, recommended by a friendly Disney cast member at Magic Kingdom, will be on my itinerary each and every time I go to WDW. Boma, located inside Disney's beautiful Animal Kingom Lodge, offers traditional African-themed food. I was a bit apprehensive at first, since my partner is a picky eater and not a fan of some more exotic flavors. We arrived before the restaurant opening, and were greeted by a friendly hostess who led us to a table adjacent to a window overlooking a waterfall. The restaurant was huge, but didn't seem so because there were trees inside to simulate outdoor dining. Our first look at the buffet blew us away - so many colorful, interesting foods boggled the mind. Each selection tasted as good as it looked, from authentic, tender barbecued meats, to sweet and spicy side dishes, to wonderful soups (our personal favorite was the carrot ginger), to mouth-watering desserts. We chose to use our dining plan, which charged us each one table service for the experience. What a steal. I would have paid $50 per person to eat this buffet. We each purchased two martinis to enjoy with our meal. I enjoyed the soup so much I was inclined to ask the waiter for the recipe, thinking "fat chance" of ever getting one. Instead, he went to get a note card, had me write down my name and address, and two weeks later I received a typed letter from the chef with the recipe for carrot ginger soup. The letter opened by saying "we are thrilled you enjoyed your food and we are pleased to share the recipe with our customers." WOW. Just... wow. Would I do it again: In a heartbeat High Points: Nearly everything Low Point: Tables a bit close, chidren sitting nearby
What a cute, adorable restaurant - just like Grandma's house. We opted for dinner at the 50's Prime Time Cafe after having lunch at the Sci-Fi Drive-In, which was probably a mistake since we were not ravenously hungry after our lunch. We were greeted by an older woman as our hostess (was that my Grandmother?)who led us to our table. We walked through what looked like a mock-up of the inside of someone's actual house - living room, the parlor, the kitchen, the dining room.... each room sat three or four tables of 4-6 people, and each table had an old-fashioned TV at one end which played classic TV shows. Our wait staff (who introduced himself as "cousin Jimmy") was attentive and treated us like we were one of the family (I was reminded, for instance, that putting my elbows on the table wasn't polite, and that I wouldn't get dessert unless I finished all of my meal). I didn't eat all my meal but I still got the dessert anyway, so there, Cousin Jimmy!! Even waiters/waitresses from other tables stopped by to say hi. We were blown away, and thought, "only at Disney!" So much fun. The food was typical meat-and-potatoes fare. My partner got meatloaf, which he didn't like (surprise - his mom makes the best), and my meal consisted of fried chicken with the typical sides. Not the best food but good quality, with great portions. We dined on the meal plan and got an appetizer and huge dessert with our meal. I think we left the restaurant 10 pounds heavier than when we walked in. Would I do it again: Yes High Points: Like you were dining at your grandmother's, great role playing by the wait staff Low Point: A bit noisy inside restaurant
Bistro de Paris was a "last minute" choice for us since we changed our park itinerary at the last minute.... our first choice for dinner at EPCOT was the Coral Reef at the Seas pavilion, but with no seating available we settled for Paris as an alternative. We walked up to the restaurant and got a reservation for 45 minutes later (which turned out to be more like an hour). The restaurant offers traditional French cuisine, which was quite good by my standards. The servers, all French, spoke somewhat broken English and were, in my opinion, arrogant. Every time I wanted more bread, it was like I was asking them to give me one of their kidneys - I felt somewhat like a beggar, which is rediculous since I spent over $2500 for my Disney vacation. The worst thing about this restaurant was that it was small, and they tried to force as many tables in there as possible. The result was us sitting on top of our dining neighbors, and although the restaurant was way too noisy to have to speak in hushed tones, we could still hear the couple next to us whining and moaning about being tired, etc. It was all "too close for comfort" for me and an experience I would have rather not had. We decided to pay for this meal in cash since we had used two table service meals for California Grill, and with appetizers and dessert (no alcohol), the meal was about $100 for two people. Would I do it again: No Would I recommend to others: Not in good conscience; there are far better dining options at WDW. Why Not: Tables waaaaay too close, rude waiters High Point: Respectable food
This classic Disney restaurant, perched high atop the Contemporary Resort Hotel, offers sweeping views of Bay Lake and the Magic Kingdom. This alone is worth the price.... what it may lack in ambience (it was somewhat noisy) is made up for with panorama. The menu is somewhat eclectic. Specialties include sushi and flatbread pizzas, and the dinner entrees range from steaks to seafood. There is something on the menu for everyone. The dishes are thoughtfully arranged and look like works of art. I was very satisfied with my meal, but I would have to say that I enjoyed my meal at Boma better. The California Grill is pricey, of course, and costs two table services for those on the meal plan, but it was worth it. The wait staff was superb, attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu selections. For those wanting a perfect seat for the Magic Kingdom fireworks, the California Grill not only offers one of the best viewing areas for it, but the sound from the show is also pumped through the restaurant's speaker system. Enjoy a stroll on the deck on top of the Contemporary after dinner for a special view of the Magic Kingdom. Would I do it again: Definitely High Points: The view Low Points: Hard to get a reservation in time for fireworks, $$$
It is a little outpost in the middle of World Showcase. The place sells African styled drums and other souvenier type merchandise. The main thing sells Coke products and can be a refreshing stop on a trip around the world. (I guess)
We had reservations for 2 at Ohana for 5:15PM. The woman sat us by the hardwood pathway, I wanted a window seat, but thought nothing of it. Then the ANNOYING entertainer woman opened her mouth, and she wouldn't shut up, and she was DIRECTLY in front of our table. Then she called up all the kids and everything, again 30+ kids right in front of our table!!! PARENTS taking pictures over our shoulders, practically in our food, kids straddling our table, we couldn't believe it!!! I understand Ohana means family and all that, but we went to Ohana because its one of the few non-Character dinners, and boy were we mistaken. We couldn't believe how kid-oriented it was. The ANNOYING entertainer woman kept saying, "this is the last opportunity tonite to take part.... blah blah," so we all thought it was great that it was over. THEN, she would come up 10 minutes later with some new obnoxious thing for kids to do RIGHT in front of our table!!! The hostess sucked for sitting us IN FRONT of the kiddie activities, and I wish I knew about them, or else I would have asked for a table way off in the corner, but SHE should have known that, and I wish I got her name, because I really would like to get her fired right now! Overall, food wasn't that great, chicken wings were great, until some kid ran to our table and put his hand in them! Yeah, I know its WDW, BUT some places should be free of kid-oriented dining, especially when its not character dining, if you want kid-oriented, take your damn kids to CHARACTER dining.... unreal!
I was extremely disappointed with Tony's. For my complete review, check out foodforfour.blogspot.com
This is great way to meet the princesses. The staff is so friendly and we had a wonderful time. The food was great and we had plenty of time to talk to the princesses unlike Cinderella's Royal Table. My son and daughter had a great time. They have the most realistic Snow White there. She looked and sounded just like her. If you want to eat with princesses go to Akershus Castle not Cinderella's
We ate here just for our daughter who loves Cinderella. She had princess makeover before we went was so excited to get to eat in the castle. The picture was great but that was it. Our waiter was so rude and ruined our lunch. He got an attitude when he found we were not using our dining plan. I guess he thought he would get stiffed on the tip. He was short to us and our kids we finally asked for the manager and requested a different waiter. The food choices were terrible and over priced for what you got. The food was not that good either. Save your money and don't go. The castle at Epcot was much better and you got the same experience.
This was a favorite restaurant. We loved the Winnie the Pooh characters and the food was amazing. We had a wonderful time and our kids enjoyed joining in the march with the characters.
Wonderful restaurant, excellent service and fabulous food.
Food was mediocre. I'm only giving it average rating because our server was fantastic. I wouldn't recommend it though.
We found Tutto to be the worst dining experience of our trip. Our server was directly from Italy and a sweet young man but it was clear he was not properly trained resulting in horrible service. We had high hopes that when our food arrived, the poor service we had been given would be forgiven. We were wrong, as the meal was barely edible. If you are looking for true Italian food, I suggest you look elsewhere.
Let me start off by saying that the service was outstanding. Our Server was wonderful in every way. We were, however, not at all impressed with the food. Two of us ordered the Filet and the other two ordered the Fried Seafood Platters. The Filet was overcooked in my opinion for rare. You have to order a sidedish extra if you want one and we chose the asparagus, it too, was overcooked for my taste. It is not worth the extra cost in my opinion for the 'Oscar" as there is very little crab, but I must say that it was tasty. The Seafood Platter is mostly Fries with a scattering of seafood, all of which was overfried, especially the lobster and scallops. My favorite part of the meal was the spread that is given as an appetizer, it was very good. All in all 5/10 - It just was not worth the $$ spent. I do not mind the price if the food is cooked properly.
Great bar after a long day of park hopping. Friendly bar tenders, nice atmosphere with the water falls near by and greta drinks.
I eat here every time I visit. I've tried it all, and it's all great! I can make an Entree out of the Calamari, and the sangria is as good as I've ever had.
This is a must eat place for my family when we visit. We have always had a great time and great food. We have even had the same Chef a couple of times. Tom from Hawaii. He's the best!
Great atmosphere but the food is too generic. Too expensive for a burger you can get right next door at the ABC Commisary.
This is my favourite place to go for a quick breakfast. It good healthy options awell as those bad boy treats u just drool over. Cinnamon buns are sooooo tasty and you can feed a family of four of just one!! lol
Last time i visited epcot i promissed myself i'd have some fish and chip. This was a bad move. Living in Yorkshire (the fish and chip capital of the world) i have very high standards. How anyone can say they enjoyed fish and chips from the "Yorkshire fish and chip" in a mystary to me. Take my advise if you want proper fish and chip.................. visit Yorkshire. ps the chips were ok
this is digusting ! your in disney! go to rainforest cafe or captain jacks. this food is discuting
The Maya Grill is a hidden gem to me and my family. Although the prices are high and some of the reviews are not so good, we like it. First off it is fast seating. They have friendly staff and good food. They give a starter for free of spicy mexican bread and regular rolls with a unique yummy sause. After that, you get to choose a apitizer, entree, and of course, dessert. The food is so big and good. You will love it. It is official, the maya grill is a hidden gem not alot of people know about.
This recent year 2008, was the year I visited Chef Mickey's. While driving to get there the whole family was excited. When at the Magic Kingdom bus stop you will board a manirail. The ride is awesome with lots of places to sit and stand. Once on the monirail we took a short ride in the monirail into the Contemerary! After looking around, we went to Chef Mickey's. Here we got a beeper and took a seat in a lounge room and looked at a pretty view for a super duper short wait. We took our seats inside Chef Mickey's and looked at the buffet food. The breakfast food was out and boy was it rare. Not only was it yummy but they had food out like a sundae bar and pancake topping center! But what our family didn't know was that we sat at the middle of the restraunt and we missed a whole other wing! The characters that come out are so friendly and kind and loving and they are happy to take pictures and sign autographs. Two things are for sure, 1. It is a friendly atmosphere that every kid and grown-up will love, and 2. Mickey and his friends sure know how to cook. Disney Dudett
It's not gourmet by any stretch and urbanites used to high-quality delis will be dissapointed, but it's got something for even the most picky eater and it is the best place to get an energizing breakfast in the whole park. The "everything bagel" has a wonderfully salty taste.
OMMIGOD! This is my favorite restaurant at WDW! The rueben is juicy and warm. The atmosphere is similar to an old-fashioned tea room. It is the most casual place you'll find at the Grand Floridian, which is a plus for midwestern me. It's the desserts that are nirvana for women, however. The GFC has created a beautiful concept: MINI-desserts!!!!!! It's like getting a light yet satisfying taste of a dessert. I could drink the peach sauce that goes with the key lime pie by the gallon! Skip the chocolate-hazelnut mousse, though. It's got an aftertaste like bitter cherries.
Very good ice cream and chocolate desserts (I highly recommend the chocolate chip cookie bottom sundae), but all quite pricey.
Excellent burgers. Excellent tuna steaks. Wonderful location. Seating was a little crowded, but liveable.
Burgers slightly better than standard (they have grill lines on them. Not sure if they actually see a flame grill though). Excellent topping bar. Large seating areas. Very clean.
The burgers are standard fare. The Cuban is excellent.
The bar was open however and had no line-up at all, as opposed to the nearby snack carts. They didn't sell any soft drinks or ice cream or food or anything, and I wasn't really in the mood for a beer at 2PM in the afternoon (which is like noon in my time zone lol). Actually there's never a bad time for a beer.....unless you're paying 7 or 8 bucks for it.
To be honest the food wasn't even that great here. I didnt actually wait in line but my mom did and she waited a fair bit. The burger was alright, nothing wrong with it, just nothing to write home about. I only briefly saw the exterior. The good thing is my Mom ALWAYS complains to us after she gets served at Wendy's, Timmys etc. but not here lol.
Didnt get a chance to eat here. Would have grabbed something but I had to go in to the Tiki Room and they don't allow food.
Prices for pop (which I buy lots) were reasonable for a theme park. I remember them being atrocious when we went to Disneyland in 2001. They were also at least 25 cents cheaper (possibly 50 I cant remember) than the same price ones at Universal. Decent selection of frozen treats too. No overly long line-up when I went.
My husband and my parents and I tried Y&Y for the first time last February. I think because we weren't expecting much, we ended up being so pleasantly surprised. The service, food, and atmosphere were wonderful, and that's difficult to do. Our server was a pleasure to interact with, and she was very timely. My parents aren't big fans of Asian food in general, plus they're vegetarians, so I was really hoping they would find something they would enjoy. Well, they did. In fact, we all had the Shrimp LoMein, and we found it to be delicious. The ingredients were extremely fresh, and the flavors really blended well together. We also tried the Cherry Limeade and loved it. The perfect end to the meal was the Mango Pie. It was truly wonderful. It was satisfying and rich without being too heavy. We all said it was one of our best meals that trip, and we can't wait to go back next February!
Overview: The Wave is the new offering at the Comtemporary Hotel located in the area that used to be the arcade. When considering a theme for this restaurant, Disney decided to go with a New world effect using modern menus, decor, and ethics. Ethics you say? Yes, the majority of the food and drink served in the restaurant are 100% organic. Additionally as a converse to the California Grill located on the top floor (which serves mostly north american, north asian, and european foods/drinks) they decided to make the Wave a 'south of the equator' themed experience. This review encompasses a dinner service. Decor: Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately taken with the warm amber lighting in contrast to the deep blue decor. Think the blue sky and water against a beach at sunset and you get the idea. You enter through a steel/aluminum series of wave (rip curl) arches lit from within by white and blue led lighting, while the walls are the warm amber. Upon arriving at the entry area, you see that there are two dark blue semi-circle niches in the right hand wall which are used as a seating area for the bar, as well as waiting patrons. Directly behind the wall behind the matre de's desk is the bar itself featuring a small and cozy drinking environment. Heading into the dining area itself, provided us with a sea of tables and booths set off at various locations by curtain draped pillars and dividing walls. The amber and blue motif carries us into the main area with amber metal waves covering the ceiling back lit by amber and yellow neon. Different modern style chandeliers light the various areas providing a very nice warm eating environment. You will not find any pictures on the wall or anything that is not architectural in design as they went for a simple but cozy/warm feel. The tables, chairs, plates, wine glasses, and silverware are all very high class but simple in design. Additionally due to it's location, it is much like Le Cellier in Canada, as it does not have any windows. Menu: While like most Disney eating estblishments, you are only offered a small number of options for entree's. But each of them had a signature style and feel to them and offered a wine pairing for each dish. Additionally they did offer a "renewable" fish of the day entree that I was very close to ordering. Most of the dishes (both entrees and appetizers) had unique flair to them (special sauces, marinated, garnishes). But there were more approachable entrees like the chicken pot pie for those who wanted a simpler faire. The one surprise here was that when I was waiting for our table, I had noticed the bar menu selection of appetizers which was different that those on the normal menu. While I felt that some of those were obviously snack food options for the bar area, there were some that would be well welcome to the dining patron as well. Upon asking our waiter if these selections were available at the table, he assured us it would be no problem to order any of those selections. Prices varries from $6.95 to $12.95 for appetizers and $14.95 to $28.99 for the entrees. Dessert was a fixed price at $7.95. All meals included their hearth baked bread with organic butter topped with sea salt garnish, which was a very nice bread offering and the butter was to die for. Wine: What can I say, the wine selection here is unique. All of the offerings are from southern equator wineries and other than the sparkling wines, every bottle has a screw cap. They feature selections from Brazil, Chile, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. What makes this wine list amazing is the selections of new fresh wineries from around the world, some of which are only bottling in America for the Wave. When we asked a few questions about the wine list, the bar manager came over and talked with us about many of the options and even suggested a few possibilities. Eventually they offered us samples of two of the wines before choosing. Since we were both having the Chimichuri flank steak for dinner, both offerings were reds. The first was the suggested wine pairing for the entree - the Marquis Phillips "Sarah's Blend" 2006 from South East Australia. A very nice syyrah grape with a smooth overall texture and nice high notes along the back of the palate with a bit of bite. The other wine they suggested was a Spy Valley Pinot Noir 2006 from Malborough New Zealand. This wines even finish and blackberry notes led us to choose it for our selection. It was an excellent choice. About 60% of the wines were available by the glass, and most of the prices were a bit on the pricey side 7-18$ per glass and 30-70$ per bottle but that is not overly surprising due to the small wineries being dealt with. Appetizers: We chose the Potato/Lentil Soup with Brie Grilled Cheese side sandwhich and from the bar menu the Edamame with Sea Salt and Chili. The soup was the soup of the day and provided a creamy, hearty, and very tasty dish. The Brie Grilled Cheese was made for dipping into the soup and was a nice easy compliment to it. The Edamame was not available on the normal menu, but should have been. It was a nicely sweet/hot thai chili sause with sea salt crystals. Inexpensive and delicious. Entree: Both my fiance and I had the Chimichuri Flank steak for our entre. It arrived sliced and done to perfection. The overall presentation was good with the steak resting on a bed of thin sliced carrots and red peppers. The Chimichuri was drizzled over the top and around the edge of the plate. Topping the steak was a dollup of guacamole. The steak itself was tender and juicy spite it being a flank cut. It was prepared exactly to the medium well that I like it, and was an excellent offering. Dessert: Dessert is done a bit differently from other Disney restaurants. Following the example of mini-deserts that are cropping up all over the fern-bar world, The wave decided to offer twelve different desserts falling into four categories. But you can mix and match any three desserts to your choosing. We sampled the raspberry cheesecake, fresh blueberries and gelato, lemon cornbread, chocolate mousse, and Chocolate passion fruit truffle. The servings were enough to get a good taste of each creation. Each dessert was executed well and provided a fine end to a great meal. Out of those we tried, the Cheesecake and the fresh blueberries were the standouts in my mind. Staff: This was the true gem of our visit. From the moment we walked up to the matre de station, we were greeted with a friendly smile. Our waiter was superb, as we watched him go from table to table he treated each group as if they were really special. We struck a chord with him and eventually made a friend as he told us about the restaurant. When we were choosing between the wines, he brought the bar manager over to talk with us about them. And at the end of our three hour meal, when we asked about a recipe for the edamame, he even brought out the head chef and both of them sat at our table and talked with us for a bit. The staff could not get higher marks in my mind. That's what turned a good meal into a fabulous experience. Final Note: If you like good wine, an excellent setting, great staff, and wonderfully inspired foods, you will like the Wave. Each aspect of the experience was above par and combined to make an enjoyable evening. And if you go - Ask for Jimmy V for your waitstaff. You won't be sorry.
they have the best pasta i ever ate in my life it was so good. i love it very much my favorite place to eat at on my vacation
it was so good i loved the food. good service just a good place to eat at
it was good food. good service very friendly but very small place they don't even have a bathroom.
it was the worst place to eat at on my whole vacation. the service for one thing was just so slow. these people did not know what they were doing at all. they gave me my food first but never my drinks i had to wait i swear just 20 minutes for me to just get a hold of somebody to ask them where my drinks where. then the cheeseburger that my boyfriend got was really gross it tasted really bad. and my chicken sandwich was really plain. if i was u i would not eat there
it was a fun place to eat at and get some really good pizza
i just went to disney animal kingdom this summer and ate at the tusker house for breakfast and i loved it they had so many things to chose from there is somthing for everyone. and for us it was a character breakfast with donald and daisy, mickey and goofy. they all come around to the tables and i got a picture with everyone. i had so much fun.
I was not at all impressed with the Coral Reef. Seating time: The day we ate at the Coral Reef we had to wait more than 30 minutes past our adr time. They were having some computer issues and all the seatings had to be done manually and caused a large backlog. I'm assuming this was a one time error and wouldn't be a problem for others. The atmosphere: Once we were seated I thought we were very lucky to have a table right by the aquarium. I was wrong! During our whole meal unaccompanied children and the occasional adult kept returning to the end of our table (about 6 inches from my lunch!) to take flash pictures of the sharks in the aquarium. So if you're lucky to get a close table be prepared because people will be hanging over your dinner taking pictures that won't turn out of the same fish they can see from the observation area inside the living seas. The restaurant is also very loud. The decor is nice though and the seating is tiered so you should be able to see some of the aquarium from other tables. The service: The service was friendly but not particularly fast or good. Just ok. Our main meal was brought out before we had finished our salads. The food (for 4 people) was brought out by one server so he wasn't able to clear the table of our salad plates and leave us our entrees. So, he had to take our entrees back to the kitchen until we were finished with our salads and the plates were cleared. The food: The food really wasn't very good. I had the NY strip steak with au gratin potatoes and brocollini. The steak was alright but it was unevenly cooked. Some areas were done to my liking and others were underdone. It was a bit chewy as well. The au gratin potatoes tasted like they came out of a box and the brocollini was soggy. The presentation of the food was bad as well. The plate came out looking a mess, not at all appetizing. The dessert however was the most disappointing. I had the chocolate wave which I had heard so many good things about. It was mushy and bland and had 3 tiny little cherries on top in brandy. The brandy was much too strong. Yuck! I love chocolate, cherries, and desserts but the chocolate wave just doesn't measure up. I think the food is very overpriced for its quality or lack there of. Overall, I'm glad I experienced the Coral Reef for myself- but it is very unlikely I will ever bother to go back.
We are so glad that we chose to eat at this restaurant. I had the ribs and my mom had the steak and shrimp and both were delicious. This was definitely one of our favorite dinners in WDW. The detail and decorations are also very well done. We will definitely be going back next time.
the atmosphere was the greatest. Surprised by how quiet it was inside. Very relaxing. The food was good.
we were seated in the very back corner where you could not see anything. Service extremely slow. Food was not good. The only meal in Disney that my 12yr old thought was horrible and she left crying she was hungry. Had to take her to get something to eat once we left.
too crowded. Stood in long lines for the food. Hard time finding a table. Food was ok.
Nice food selection. Nice atmosphere and the characters were great.
food was not good. Corn was dried out, burgers were horrible. show is more for preschool children. 6yr old and 12yr old bored and left early.
We ate here back in May...What can I say about it? It really is one of the best. We were able to get a reservation at quite last minute - like 5 days before we were to be there - all be it, a 9:30 reservation, but still. We got there around 8:30ish, and headed to the bar - we both got a cocktail and headed outside to watch the fireworks. Wishes is a total different experience from the roof of the Contemp. Wow...is all I can say. They played the music really loud too, which made it even better! After the fireworks, we went back inside to wait for our reservation time to come up. Almost on the dot, 9:30 they paged us and we were seated right near the window - had an excellent view of the MK! The one and only negative I would say or have is that they could have turned down the house lights just a bit, so the view would have been even better. It just seemed right on that point of just almost too bright, but hey! Appitizer - we had the 3 cheese pita bread "pizza". OH MY GOSH - it was amazing! Dinner - I had the steak - I almost licked the plate! My partner had the sea scallops and, well, he did run his finger over the plate a couple times after he had finished. It really was that good! We didn't have desert as it was pushing a quarter till 11, and didn't want that to sit on our tummies that late - but the chocolate cake looked devine! Definitly a must if you love a great view and fine food!
really good. old hollywood themeing and decor is the iceing on the cake. its def. worth a visit, to complete the old hollywood day of your trip
really good. i miss the old rest. that use to be there(alfredos) but this was just as good. there is so much to choose from. everything we had was good
wonderful, it was really nice. i have been to the tea at the four seasons and other upscale places, but this was by far the best we will add this to our must dos on our trip

really good food, makes you feel like your in ireland. come for music and the danceing. i am an irish dancer and my dad told the musicans. i ended up doing a few dances since the dancer wasnt there. i also love the dancer they have, really great.
really fun, and the food is just like the food you get at the german rest. in chicago. great authentic food, also dont be afraid to dance , its half the fun also the choclate lover will love their german choclate cake , a must for me
unless you dont live in an area that has one, and you want to wait in line, its worth it. the food is awesome, and the atmosphere is amazing. its great for kids who love animals
The good bits: Creamy lobster soup was a good selection, very nice. Salad, i am told, was also good quality. The view - Excellent view of the aquarium. We got lucky on seats, right at the front. The bad bits: When you walk into this place, you know its pricey, so you expect the food to match the price. In my opinion it falls well below the mark. The NewYork Strip Steak was as tough as a leather shoe, inconsistently cooked through out the steak. I asked for mine to be medium rate, but the majority of it was uncooked. The desserts looked like they came directly out of the supermarket. We had an irish coffee at the end of the meal in order to try and salvage the experience, unfortunately this was very poor also. It was made with whipped cream with a green peppermint sauce on the top. For a menu which matches food selections to wine pairings, i was very dissapointed to see no wine glasses, just the usual water glasses. Service was average, nothing to comment about. In my opinion i wish i had saved our money and went to the brown derby. We unfortunately left the restaurant feeling a little ill with stomach ache, lighter in the pocket, and a feeling that we could have cooked a better meal at home, all in the time it took waiting for our reservation to be honoured, for a fraction of the cost.
great quick food for those who are at the studios. great place to sit down and relax while going through the park
its a sit down, reservation required. really good breakfast and lunch. i would def. recommend it for those staying at the grand and want a sit down meal with good food

great way to dine with classic disney characters. great food and atmosphere
one of my favorite desserts at disney. i love to make it at home, but its not the same as when i have it on vacation
Limited lunch selection (2 or 3 sandwiches) but those offered are wonderful. On dining plan you get the sandwich (very large), bag of chips, a drink and can select any of the fresh bakery items as your dessert. Great value for lunch counter service Service is a little slow
But it's a great table service buffet now. We really enjoyed the foods, many ethnic choices but also lots of "american" fare for the less adventurous among you. Great service, and they serve beer/wine
Le Cellier is the best steakhouse on WDW property...by far. Filet is superb. Pretzel bread delicious (order one service of the cheese soup, use it for dip!) Desserts wonderful, especially the chocolate mousse (it's a MOOSE) and the maple creme brulee. Service is outstanding. This place is an 11 on a 10 scale
Food was excellent...hot food was hot, cold food was cold. Lots of variety on all buffet tables. Service good.
Food was good, but not great...didn't think it was worth 2 table service credits on the Dining Plan. Desserts were outstanding, though. Service was excellent. Decor was nice, but light-filtering blinds were down while we were there, so awesome view was missing! (5:30 p.m. in May) They told us they don't raise the blinds until sun starts going down...what's the point of paying for the view when you don't get a view!
Excellent service, good food. Great character interaction, without hectic atmosphere & noise of most character buffets. (Food is served family style, brought to your table.) Nice to be able to get a beer/wine with meal. Relaxing & enjoyable watching "the Land" ride as restaurant slowly revolves.
really enjoyed this meal...awesome decor, cute entertainment (Fairy Godmother & Celebration song), wonderful view from window table of Fantasyland. Food was good, service was excellent. Recommend the dinner meal for those who want a little bit quieter/more laid back experience in the castle (no princess visiting the table, so not as much hubbub.)
We had a last minute lunch here. we were seated in about 10 min. Not bad Italian Food. Nothing was amazing but it makes for a nice break in the day without spending a fortune at other places. Good Fresh Quality food, we would go back!
Very happy with everything, the food was amazing nice atmosphere. One of Disney's Best!!!
We went here not really knowing what to expect.. But we all loved it!! The cheese plate app is delicious and the chicken was the best I had ever had. And the Creme Brule is not as good as Le Celier but still very good. It's a bit crowded, meaning the tables seem to be a bit to close to one another. We felt like we were eating with other people. But excellent food.
We ate here on our last trip and were pleasantly surprised it was nice to get a home cooked meal very very good! Would go back for sure!
Hi All, We at here on 5-23-08 we got in around noon at our hotel and took a bus striaght to Hollywood studios, we had a reservation for 2pm but decided to try to get lunch a bit earlier around 1:30 and we were seated immediately. Our waiter I think his name was Kevin, he was great very nice man, he kneel down to speak to you eye to eye. Everything was clean and the food was delicious. We got for appeitizer the sampler with different type of spreads, very very good. Then I ate primevera with pasta and veges, delecious, my husband had the chicken parm and he loved it, we shared our dessert that was great too. Chocolate Raspberry cake, very good. I would go back to Mama Melrose I thought the price and service were both great. :) :)
I'm a DVC member and I go to the bar all the time. I know 3 of the bartenders by name. Carrie is my favorite. They are the best. tyhey have special drinks only for the WL. I'm a bartender myself and they can make anybody feel like they are at there right at home. For me everytime I'm in Disney I have to go to the pool bar at WL.
I would totally recommend this place! Steak was great! We had a party of 4 and we all enjoyed our meal... Can't say anything bad about this!!!!
We ate here in July 08. I was expecting a bit more selections on the menu. The food was ok and since we were on the dining plan the prices didn't matter. The aquarium was nice but we were not seated close so we didn't get to enjoy it. If I went back I would have to request a closer seat.
The best place to eat at The Magic Kingdom. The food is delicious, espeacially the chicken. I went to eat there last month after getting off the boat ride and found it quite enjoyable. Exquisite food, great cuisine, look, what I'm trying to say is that the food is fantastic and all Magic Kingdom lovers will enjoy this delectable restaurant.
This is without a doubt my favorite character meal. We had ADR's at 6:00 pm and were at the hospital with my youngest daughter during that time. We made it to Epcot at 8:00 and went straight to the Garden Grill to see if they could take us. They said that they closed at 8, but after hearing our story decided to let us in anyway. The characters spent so much time at the table, they even came around several times. Chip took our bowl of catfish and ran away! lol, but he came back. Dale sat down and colored with my daughter. The food was awesome and the dessert was amazing. My kids loved decorating their own cupcakes. This is a must for every trip for our family!
I can see why Le Cellier gets rave reviews... We decided to go about 4 years ago, reading how great it was, and It lived up to it's name and then some! Love the low lighting and cozy feeling you get when you first walk into the dinning room. The staff are so attentive and friendly. The fresh pretzel bread is out of this world and the food even more so. We try to dine here as often as possible while we are at Epcot.
The times we've decided to eat here is because we so love the atmosphere... it's so romantic and the theming is great... Sadly, the food leaves a lot to be desired. Very generic tasting and not many choices. Theming 10/10 Food 3/10
The best item on the menu has to be the grouper! The crab cakes were also very delious. The key lime pie was very much real and is also made there! It is very relaxed and fits the resort well.
Great view. Seated us quickly with no reservations. Get the grilled catfish with peperjack grits, its my favorite. Deserts were excellent.I love the seclusion. Service was also very good. Portions seem to be a problem for this bunch but I thought they served plenty.
grea way to meet the princesses outside of cinderellas royal table. great service, nice staff, princesses spend time with everytable
really good food, love the winnie the pooh characers, great way to meet them all, they spend lots of time with you
good food, best kept secret for those who cant get into cinderellas royal table character spend time with each table
awesome view, great view, dream come ture for many. i love it and its a staple on our trips. character really make the rounds
bad food, ok desserts, great attmosphere
really good italian, reminds me of the old italian neighborhood. Very vintage
i miss it. it had the best italian food in the world, and was a staple on our trip. i use to love watching them make the pasta, and how they had music. i have to go to nyc to experince it again. i also like the rest. that replaced it
great food, and awesome character experience when we do it
not the best seafood or food in general, we just go for the view
good food for the price
it was awesome . by far the best chowda outside cape cod and boston. yummy breakfast and dinner
i am going to miss this rest. because it had awesome food with an awesome view of magic kingdom. i also liked when we would go at night and watch the fireworks with the music piped in. i mean, we always see the fireworks from in front of the castle., but this was amazing
one of the best at disney. brought back alot of memories for parents and grandparetns, fun for my friends and i and cousins. i love the pb& j shake. i love how the mom is and the brother. many happy memories we continue to have. a must on all our trips
i have never had them(allergies) ,but my parents, friends and cousin did they said it was good, but to much. pick only a few of the topings , not all
Do I recommend it? YES!!! One of WDW's best! Food = A+ ... Service = A+ ... Atmosphere = A+ ... Fun = A+ ... You can't go wrong here. The only time I am dissapointed here is when I am getting full. The food is so good I don't want to stop eating. Excellent place for families with children.
FUN! Excellent food! Have been here twice for dinner, and will go back again in the future! Try the steak, it's fantastic! ...Also, try to find the hidden Mickey. Give up? Ask your server. ;)
There are better places to eat at WDW than here. The food is not bad, but it's not all that great either. The atmosphere is bland. Not exactly up to WDW standards. Don't go out of your way to eat here. If you are looking for seafood try Fulton's Crab House at Downtown Disney.
An absolute must! The food is top notch! The authentic atmosphere is brilliant! The cooking staff is very entertaining, and the service is outstanding! This is one of the best, and it is no secret. Book your reservations well in advance because this one seems to be a favorite on everyones list!
This is a great place to eat! The food is very well prepared. The price is not bad compared to the other WDW restaurants. The view of the monorail traveling overhead makes the experience even more fun (especially for kids). Try the tuna steak. It's excellent!
The food here is excellent. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is excellent. ...However, this place fills up fast and can become very crowded in a very short time. This would not be as much of a problem if this was a table service restaurant, but for a buffet style restaurant it causes problems. The line for the buffet here can get very long. At one point I must have waited in line at least 20 minutes just to get up to the buffet. The food goes so quickly that by the time I would get to the buffet some of the items would be unavailable or well picked over. The cooking staff seemed to be having a hard time keeping everything on the buffet stocked. I do recommend eating here, but just be prepared to stand in line. The food here is outstanding, and apparently it's no well kept secret. :)
I'm rating this restaurant a "7" only because of the average food selection. This place is very fun, upbeat, and entertaining for the whole family! The outdoor autumn theme is spectacularly beautiful! The entertainment is very family oriented and authentic! ...However, I and my family were not as impressed with the food. The selection seemed to be very slim, and the food that was there tasted a bit bland. There were one or two items on the buffet that I did enjoy, but for the most part I was disappointed. If you are looking for a fun time and beautiful atmosphere and are not as picky when it comes to food this one may be for you. Even though the food selection was not up to par for me and my family I have not yet crossed this one off the list. If you have not yet experienced this one I would suggest trying it at least one time.
Absolutely amazing atmosphere!! The food is not the best in the parks, but it's not bad either, just a little ordinary. What this restaurant lacks in culinary originality it makes up with the fantastic atmosphere and service! This place is a must especially if you have kids! They will be mesmerized!
The food and atmosphere is great! The wait time is a little too slow. Sushi here is up to par. The theme is very authentic. If you like Japanese food you should enjoy this restaurant.
Ate at the Derby for the first time on May 21, 2008. The atmosphere was very interesting. The place almost seems to take you back in time to the 1940's. The wait staff and decor was very up to keeping with the theme. The food was EXCELLENT! Fantastic steaks and fish! I ordered the seared tuna. My wife had the halibut. Someone else in our party ordered the steak. We all sampled one another's dish. They were all top notch!! Then came the desert... Two words - Grapefruit Cake!! Absolutely delicious!!
May 19, 2008 was our first time to dine at Fulton's. I'm sure it will not be our last! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was excellent! I ordered the King Crab Claws and Australian Lobster Tail. The seafood is VERY fresh, and the taste was outstanding! We have 2 children, and the server was over the top on seeing to their needs as well. Even though this is a more adult oriented restaurant the kids were made to feel right at home. They absolutely loved it! The only drawbacks were that the restaurant was somewhat crowded and the prices are very high. However, I can understand why on both counts. The demand for a table at this establishment must be extremely high with the fantastic dining experience you find here.
This is by far one of my favorite restaurants, the meat is cooked to perfection!! The side dishes are delicious and if you have a picky child with you ASK for the children's menu, it has the usual child fairs of mac and cheese, chicken strips etc. The games can be noisy, and if you have children with you they seat you by the games, if your children do not like to partisipate, then ask for a table by the windows, its not so invloved and you get a FANTASIC view of bay lake and fireworks if the time is right. :)
Wonderful mix of American and African foods! They had salmon to die for! The zebra domes are fantastic, and the coconut teramisu was incredible! I can not wait to go back!
I have been to the Brown Derby twice in the past year. We did the Fantasmic Package both times so we could ride other rides while others were trying to get seats for the show. The steaks were amazing both times i had them and i assure you i will be back again.
If its your 1st time to Epcot you might miss this place! They have a wide variety of food and it taste great! Esp. of your sick of hot dogs, hamburgers, etc. Who wants to eat those things for your whole vacation when you can get this homemade like food!? I had salmon and rice! Yum. :-)
I love this place!!! You get a good portion of food and it is delicious! Its REAL mexican food and I doubt your gonna leave this place hungry!!!
March 2008 The service was attentive - a little formal with lots of bowing - and very pleasant. The experience begins with warm towels to cleanse and refresh the guests. Our chef put on a good show which I videotaped. He'd alert me when he was going to do something spectacular. The food was simple but fresh and delicious. My daughter, Emily, ordered the child's portion which cost less but looked the same as ours. Overall - we enjoyed the experience and will definitely visit again. Lunch for 2 adults and 1 child was $80.00 with no alcohol, and no dessert. The price is very high but I rationalize that because it included a great show.
March 2008 I'm sad to say I was disappointed with The Yak and Yeti - especially since we had so been looking forward to dining there. The atmosphere is exotic and certainly worth the visit but the food was just okay. The server was very pleasant but overworked. It took 35 minutes to get our meals (from the time we ordered) and we had to ask for the ketsup (for my daughter) 3 times. When the food arrived - my husband's was cold. I love chicken lomein and expected the same yellowy fine noodles that I get when I order it at home. Instead the noodles looked like spaghetti noodles. They were overcooked and kind of "sloppy." The mixture contained very small bits of chicken with carrots, bean sprouts, green onion, cabbage and lots of cilantro. It was strange eating Asian spaghetti with chopsticks. My husband, Al, had sweet and sour pork over rice. As I mentioned - it wasn't hot and we were amused to find an intact paper bar code label on one of the veggies. Emily had a small cheeseburger (hence - the ketsup.) What can you say about a cheeseburger? Lunch for 2 adults and 1 child was $70.00 with no alcohol, no dessert and only 1 shared appetizer (4 potstickers on a plate.) Next time we'll go back to The Flame Tree Barbeque and dine alfresco - which we've always loved.
If you are hungry after a day of walking around the park, you might settle on "Pizza Planet". We did ... and we ate at a pleasant enough area in front of the place. While pizza is available on it's own, you will likely want a drink. There are combo's available with pizza, salad and drink. After tax, this is going to come to about $10 each. These are slightly bigger than Pizza Hut personal pan pizza's --- and there are various options (eg. cheese only, pepperoni or vegitarian) ... but you can not choose individual toppings. The pizza is ... unspectacular. While I can not swear it ... it tastes like a frozen, heated pizza -- not fresh crust or anything like that. It is better than frozen boxed pizza, but only slightly. There should be some kind of a family deal ... as combos for 2 adults and 2 toddlers came to over $40. This is markedly more expensive, for less Disney ambience, and worse quality food. Not sure if this is typical ... but it was not very busy ... and the vegitarian pizza took over 15 minutes --- which seems longer than it would take to heat it from frozen. /\/\/\/\ Emba 33 /\/\/\/\
Sonny Eclipse is a simple animatronic who sings lounge songs and has a variety of songs and sappy jokes he tells between songs. My 4-year old daughter felt the urge to get up an dance to the songs in front of the stage ... while we ate our dinner. Sonny could use a sidekick and maybe a few more physical gags to make him a legitimate attraction on his own. As it is ... he is a great diversion from dinner. Although the dining area is massive, it will still fill up during peak times (lunch and dinner). A unique Disney experience. /\/\/\/\ Emba 33 /\/\/\/\
What an unexpected surprise. This show was an absolute blast. The humor is G-rated and loaded with puns, but it is very well done and thoroughly enjoyable. Our three kids (7,5,3) laughed so hard that we couldn't help but join in. Tip: Take the boat from Magic Kingdom to save time but get here! Its a must do on our family list now. We went in April 2008 and it was one of the highlights of our trip.
After reading lots of mediocre reviews, I was leery to try the Yak and Yeti. Our family of 5 gave it a try, and it was one of our favorite meals during our stay! We had the lettuce cups and steamed mussels for apps, both were fabulous!! Then we had the beef and broccoli, jasmine rice and lo mein for meals. It was great! DS(7) devoured the beef and broccoli and the lo mein was equally as good. We also got the fried wontons for dessert which were to die for!! I highly recommend this restaurant, the atmosphere was nice, and it was quite uncrowded the night we were there. Loved it! No complaints.
Our family of 5 ate here on 4/16 and experienced our worst meal during our 7 night stay. We got the canyon skillet and found the food to be terrible with the exception of the corn on the cob. The ribs were dry and looked and tasted like shoe leather! Our waitress crossed the line when she made DS(7) cry because he hadn't eaten much (I don't blame him, the food was gross). She told him if he wasn't going to eat that he should leave. None of us enjoyed this experience and would not eat here again.
Our family of 5 ate here 4/21 and we loved it! We had an excellent waitress, Barbara from NY, who made great recommendations and provided outstanding service. I had the bruschetta and chicken parmagiana, both were delicious. DH had the calamari which he raved about, and the shrimp, pasta and vegetables in a four cheese sauce which he also loved! All of the kids had the soup (vegetable minestrone) which was fabulous, and the penne pasta. They loved it, and ate every bite. The chocolate cake dessert was wonderful, but the tiramisu was a bit dry. Overall, we loved it and would eat here again!
Our family of 5 ate here 4/17 and were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful it was! DH ate all of the flank steak and asked for more, DS(10) loved the turkey and ham, DD(3) ate most of the macaroni and cheese and DS(7) pretty much ate it all. Mom was very happy with the salad, rolls, and delicious honey butter! Characters were playful and accomodating. We will definitley eat here again!
Our family of 5 ate here last week and it was our favorite meal during our stay. DH and I had the mushroom filet and it was the best we've ever had. All 3 kids had the steak childrens meal and devoured every bit of it. Excellent food, excellent atmosphere!
I have been to Disney World twice, in July of 07 and Feburary of 08 and both times I ate at Rose & Crown. Rose & Crown is an restaurant located at the UK pavilion in EPCOT. By far this is my favorite restaurant at WDW. The dinner's that they offer are delicious, really really great and yummy!!!! Second of all the best time to eat there is at nightime so you can get a great view of Illuminations. Its said to be the best viewing spot in EPCOT. You can eat outside right along on the lagoon. My favorite dishes are to start off with an appeitizer with Potato Soup, Entree would be Fish & Chips, and for dessert it would be the warm apple crumble ice cream dessert, wow its all yummy and deliocious :). The best restaurant that I would recommend to anyone to try at EPCOT or even at WDW would be Rose & Crown. Of course all the other restaurants are fabulous as well, but this is my personal favorite.
agreed, best pastry in world showcase. very friendly staff... and the rice cream? mmmmm... need i say more. Dont miss this!
This is not a counter service restaurant. You actually can make reservations for this and you sit down and eat in a dining room with a waiter/waitress. I would reccomend breakfast. Stuffed french toast is delicious. Dinner is great too. If you are looking to slow things down for the night and have a nice meal that is delicious and not over priced, this is the place to go.
no ice cream in the world tops ghiardellis in down town disney MY FAVORITE!!!!!!! ( the line will look long, but it goes SUPER fast )!
all i can say is MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.. best hot dogs.. cheese fries! you can sit outside or on cute bleachers that will take you into the emporium after for some shopping. d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s!
In July i ate at the brown derby restaurant with my family with the fantasmic package. The night we ate, it was raining so they took away our fantasmic tickets and told us we could not get new ones for the next day and basically they were very very rude. ( we wound up getting tickets anyways! ) The service was very poor. this is not to say that everyone will not have a better experiance there. The food was upscale from the other restaurants in the hollywood studios.. basic creme brulees and steaks and such. It was decent. It seemed over priced for what it was. If you are going to eat there i would reccomend the fantasmic dinner because you get appetizer, entree, and dessert.. all for a little more than 50 dollars. the seats for the show are good as well! just off to the right.
I love the theming of this restaurant it is really cool. If they played other things on the telvision screen that would be awesome. I wouldnt reccomend this for big groups. The cars are not big enough to hold a TON of people and you sit with your backs to eachother unless you sit in a round table in the back which is right next to the kitchen. The food is decent, but the menu isnt that great. Not one of my favorites on disney property, but for people who have never been there you should try it for the experiance!
DELICIOUS CLAM BAKE! something for everyone, even the non seafood eaters out there. Buffet is large and the soups and salads are delicious. It is usually pretty calm in there and the service is great. no need to dress casual. There are plenty of options for children as well.
great for children during the playhouse disney lunch. jojo and goliath and the gang will sing and dance to entertain the children. buffet has great value and many options for all tastes. the dessert bar also has many options.
One of the best restaurants in walt disney world. great lobster dinner. delicious sourdough bread. desserts are amazing. the restaurant is beautiful and right on the water. perfect view for wishes. definitly a great place for a romantic evening. ( try the bisque!! )
THis scifi dine in theater is the coolest place to eat with your family or a huge group of people. Not only do you order food but your all in a car designed as a table and watching old corny scifi movie trailors and is an absolute don't miss restaurant and be sure to make reservations early if you want a certain time to eat there.
I don't have time to write a proper review but this place is amazing we has the Steak, it was like butter, and the maple crem brule is amazing. If you havn't eaten here you must try it!!
We enjoy having a light breakfast here while the kids work on their masks.
Good soft serve ice cream, perfect for a hot humid summer day
We eaten there several times, always like to dine there when we visit. Food is good family style. Cheesey man & cheese and the apple cobbler is fantastic, almost makes it worth the whole dinner.
We love to eat here and find ourselves making sure we plan it into our schedule. The BBQ ribs are my fav and the seating choices are great. We like sitting in the main area to the left of the counter because the birds have learned to come for food. I know that this would be a turn off for some but we love feeding them (after we are done eating.) They don't pester, just come over and quack, then move on - very entertaining. I didn't know about the seating by the water, I'll have to check it out next time we're there.
I love this restaurant. I think the only negative is that it's too small for its popularity. It's a fun atmosphere and the food and desserts are wonderful.
I really love this restaurant. I've been many times. The food is always delicious and the staff is great.
I had avoided this restaurant for years because of the mixed reviews, but finally made a lunch ADR to try it out. We were a party of five, 2 adults, 2 teens and a "junior". We all loved it. The food is very imaginative, well made, and delicious. The service was quite good. The Derby has a great wine list, charming atmosphere, and is more "grown up" than many WDW dining spots. The only thing that might turn some people off is that the portions are normal - not small, normal. They aim for quality, not just sheer quantity like some restaurants.
We visited Mama Melrose for our first time on Thursday 4/3/08. We booked the Fantasmic Package. Our waiter was richard (from Caracas, Venezuela). He was wonderful. Very friendly and kept up with drinks, etc. For an appitizer, I had the tomatoes and mozzarella. This was very good. I ordered the spaghetti fra diavolo (spaghetti with calamari rings, shrimp, clams & mussels in a spicy marinara sauce). I thought it was excellent. I was surprised at the amount of seafood in the meal. I don't think I ever had a forkful that did not include a bite of seafood. The calamari which can be a bit rubbery if nort cooked right was perfect. My wife started with a Ceasar salad which she enjoyed and then had the Oven-baked Chicken alla Parmigiana. She was quite pleased with both. My kids both had pizza. Neither of them have ever met a pizza they did not like, so they were happy with their meal as well. My wife and I each had a piece of the Honey-Hazelnut and Ricotta Cheesecake which was spectacular. Overall, I was quite pleased with the experience and would definitely eat there again.
I recently visited Boma, and my husband asked about Vegetarian dishes on the buffet. The chef came to my table and took me through the buffet to tell me exactly which dishes contained no meat products. He was really nice. Later, he came up to me while I was at the buffet tables and said to go and look at my table. He made me my very own vegetarian dinner. He went so far above and beyond what any other restaurant has ever done for me. It was really special!:)
I couldn't have been more disappointed with my visit to Planet Hollywood. The outside of the building is a shambles and the inside isn't much better. They were only operating the bottom level of the restaurant when we were there so the wait was very long despite only a few parties waiting for tables. Once we were taken to a table we were given dog eared and sticky menus. The service was VERY slow and not very friendly. The food was edible but the presentation was very sloppy (fingerprints in the sauce around the edge of the plate, brown lettuce, etc.) For the cost of the food I would expect a much better experience. Unless you are a major movie buff (or a fan of movies from 1996 or earlier- I didn't see any memorabillia from any recent movies) then I wouldn't bother with Planet Hollywood.
We have always enjoyed the Donald's Breakfastasaurus and were highly disappointed when we heard that it was closing and taking over the Tusker house. Of course we had to at least try it since we have tried all of the character breakfast buffetts. After being greated outside by the bar in Harambe I was a little puzzled that there was no indoor waiting location. Minutes later we were greated and walked over to the picture location and asked if we would like our picture taken. We said no and were taken inside to tour the buffett. The buffett area is humongous with many different sections. Finally we were seated and found that the seating was more spacious and had more walking room around the table than in Restaurantasaurus. Now up to the buffett to pig out! I tried most of the foods and found it wonderful. There are many common items to the rest of the WDW buffetts, but many special items with the african flare also. The food was awesome! As most character meals have a celebration, so does this one. We had our napkins high in the air as the children played there moracco's in a conga line through the restaurant. The kids had so much fun. This is a definate repeat, and I look forward to trying their dinner menu.
The menu here has changed quite a bit since it first opened, but it still remains slightly different. The Chicken noodle bowl is very large and has chuncks of white meat chicken along with Chinese veggies. They also offer differant flavored iced teas like peach and blackberry jasmine which are very refreshing. This CS restaurant is a hidden jem. Short lines and plenty of seating when it is open along with something different than burgers and pizza.
The WDW turkey legs are a classic for a reason. Taluca also sells Coke products. Located in between Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror.
This place sells high quality ice cream snacks. They were great if a bit expensive...
I really love to eat in everything PoP! Including the Double Cheese burger!
I loved it lobster Tails and my fav was the Papaya Vinagerette dressing
very good and filling snack
We visited Tony's on our last trip, this was the first time we had eaten there. I have to say not only was the food great, but our waiter was wonderful with my three children especially my youngest. You will surely enjoy this restaurant. The deserts are wonderful.
The Bakery is a great place to go before Wishes. The bakery style pastries are delicious and there is a great variety of quality drinks. The cherry turnover was amazing. It is definately worth a stop.
Pizza Planet is my favorite place to eat out of every restaurant. It feels like it's the actual Pizza Planet in Toy Story. I recomend going there, you'll love it!
There are many different places to choose from in the food court like restaurant. They have a lot of variety too such as pastas, soups, sandwiches and other things. Sunshine Seasons is located in the land pavillion and is a good place for a meal especially for something different.
I know there are many mixed reviews about Tony's- I'd have to say however it isn't very great. As an Italian,- the food was not very good and seemed very "fake and bland". Although the atmosphere was fairly nice the food didn't meet our expectations. If you are looking for a place to eat dinner in Magic Kingdom GO TO LIBERTY TREE TAVERN not tony's. :]
It's not the best place but it isn't terrible! An overall "OKAY"
My family loves it here! It's a great place for a large family or group because their are so many options to choose from!
My family loves Spoodles. It has a great atmosphere, and the food was amazing. Maybe not the best place for little kids (bc/ they might be a little bored) but their was a magician who walked around to the tables and kept EVERYONE happy and having a fun time! My little cousins loved being able to see into the kitchen!
VERY Small Portions, Extremely overpriced, and not the best service... We used to love the Coral Reef but not after our last visit!
The meat was fantastic,we loved it. The sweet potatoes complimented the meat. It's a bit pricey(everything is in the World) but worth it if one has never tried it. No gamey taste,no need for steak sauce. It had a onion jelly? on it. We will go there again this year. As for the wine,I don't drink enough to know what's good and what's not,but I will say this,it all tasted sour to me. Pehaps my taste buds are shot,I don't know. I tried the red with the meat and it still tasted sour, all of it did. I switched to iced tea and everything was fine. A flight of wine cost about 30 or 40 dollars. Beware. My wife does drink wine and she didn't think much of it. Staff was busy but attentive.
We probably chose a bad time to eat at Cosmic Rays since we couldn't find an inside table and had to grab an available, TINY outside table for the four of us. The food was amazing! We got the chicken and ribs with mashed potatoes and green beans plus a brownie for dessert and our drink. On the DDP you just cannot beat it!!!! Not only was it not your typical counter service menu, but it was GREAT. It was so packed we could only get to the chicken/ribs counter so I don't know about anything else but I definitely plan to eat there next January when we go again!!!
It wasn't so much the Bier Hall atmosphere which we expected...but more so the food which really wasn't good at all. I like German food but I expected more selection and greater quantities available. If all I had wanted was the salad bar, things would have been great. As it was there wasn't much on the hot side to choose from and maybe this was because we came at 7:30 in the evening. We sat with two couples - one acted as if we were bothering them by being there. The other was great with us and with our son who is autistic. The noise really bothered my son but that wasn't the restaurant's fault. The waitress was great and made sure the band announced my son's name for his birthday. Then she gave him a special gingerbread man to take home. I don't think we'd eat there again, the food was mediocre at best and just overall not what we'd expect at Disney.
We booked San Angel for our last night. The description we got in Passporter made it sound like we'd enjoy it. Our son is autistic so a quiet, less-chaotic place for dinner works best for him. This was NOT that place. First, the tables are so crowded together, you can hardly move. The menu was scant and the choices were pretty much all the same. The food itself wasn't anything to write home about. We asked for a cake at the counter when we checked in since it was my son's birthday - maybe it was a language barrier or something but it never came. The waiter did make a big fuss over his birthday once we told him but it took the fun out of the last night. I don't think we'd go back, it just wasn't that great.
food okay, the attitude of some employees....well, never again.
less wait, you sit at a sushi bar.... tempura & sushi on the menu, beer, service is good. i love it
Planet Hollywood is like no other. It resembles a movie museum crossed with a restaurant. There are tons of movie props located all over the "planet." There are three or four spacious levels. The food was very good if expensive. They could almost charge admission just to walk around in the restaurant!
my family and i ate at ohanas for my parents 18th annivarsary in 2004 it was great i loved the food (except dessert) but the seating was fantastic, the service was terrific and the games were fun to play. this is one of our favorite resturants we eat there every time we go!!!!
This food court is too small, but that's really my only complaint. It's tucked away amongst the cobblestone and juniper. The Mardi Gras decore is festive and makes everyday feel like a holiday - I guess it is on Disney's calendar! The food selection is fresh and ranges from light to hefty. I LOVE the jambalaya!! The soda fountain is fun for the kids. Though picky eaters might have some trouble, there is always the burger joint. Sultry window views.
And the title includes fancy, sit-down restaurants. Although it's a bit pricy, the portions are huge and you get every dollar back in taste. The pizza has the best crust in The World. Don't waste your money on Express's formal brother across the way, eat here. Be sure you're willing to share dishes amongst your dining company because everything looks so good, everybody wants a bite. There are no weak points on the menu. (Hint: on warm nights, dine outside. It's immeasurably quieter and people-watching is lots of fun. Sometimes you can even see part of a street performer's act, though I reccommend "Earl of Sandwich" if this last part is very important to you.)
This place is huge - though not big enough I suppose considering the massiveness of the resort, but coming earlier alleviates crowding greatly. It has typical food court food along with a pasta place that's yummy albeit expensive. The dessert bar has scrumptious selections. Like everywhere in Disney, the food is very fresh. The condiments bar is well-designed so traffic flow is good. The features that sets this food court apart from others, however, is the atmosphere. A floor-to-ceiling, working cotton press is the centerpiece. The cashiers wear antebellum-inspired clothing to compliment the resort theme. Window views offer a lake vista as well as views of the distant pool and the tranquil, cobblestone walkway outside. Lastly, service is quick and polite 95% of the time.
Terribly noisy and the wind tunnel affect makes napkin-chasing seem like they want you to be miserable. Though not very crowded due to out-of-the-way location, after a showing of "Lights, Motors, Action!" the place floods with cranky kids who (after sitting down for so long) wanna go run the Minnie Marathon. The service is atrocious. Even at half-capacity, it took us forty minutes to get food for 4 people! And we still had to eat it- though we didn't really want to considering how rubbery the meat was. The selection is dismal; dry ribs or mushy mac n' cheese. One of my worst dining experiences at Disney World in almost twelve years.
We ate here on our last night February 4th. Our ressie was 6:30pm and we were seated right on time. We were a Grand Gathering of 9 people (4 adults, 5 kids ages: 15, 12, 12, 10, 6), we were seated at 2 tables right next to each other so it was no problem. I am always a little sad on our last night but, a character meal always helps. The buffet offered a good selection of pastas, meats, carving stations, veggies, salad etc. the kids buffet had hot dogs, chicken tenders, mac & cheese, pizza, etc.. I was a bit disappointed with the dessert selection but, I was too full to eat dessert anyway. The kids like the ice cream but, the topping selection was minimal. If you love Winnie-The-Pooh and friends this is the place to go, the characters are wonderful. They spend a bit of time with each child and don't seemed as rushed as in other character meals. We have eaten here before and would definately reccommed it to others. Our waitress was efficient but, not very friendly. The food as usual was good and I especially loved the one pasta dish, it was in a cream sauce with mushrooms and it was delicious.
We ate here our first night in Disney, January 29th. We were a Grand Gathering of 9 people (4 adults, 5 kids ages: 15, 12, 12 , 10, 6). We waited a long time for our table approx 45 min. and we were seated at 2 booths right next to each other, kids in one adults in the other. Our waitress was very sweet and quick with the refills of food and drink. I was a little disappointed that the restaurant was not revolving like it was supposed to, which I heard was really neat because it gave you different views of your surroundings. The waitress said she thought it had been broken for a few days at least. The food was good, flank steak with a cabernet sauce, turkey, and pork. The cheesey potatoes were delicious and the dinner rolls and cornbread were yummy. The kids as in other restaurants can order chicken fingers and fries instead of the regular food. The food is served family style which means they bring platters of food to your table for everyone to share and the server refills as necessary or as you request. The characters, Mickey, Chip, Dale, Pluto were very attentive and entertaing. The kids especially like the decorate your own cupcakes for dessert.
We ate here February 2nd for dinner, we were a Grand Gathering of 15 plus 1 in a high-chair and we were seated at a few different tables but all right next to each other so we were able to talk. Our ressie was at 5pm and we were seated almost immediately. This is by far my kids favorite restaurant! We had 8 kids in our party (ages: 15, 12, 12, 10, 9, 8, 6, 2), they all had a great time meeting the characters, having them sign autographs and pose for pictures. The characters, Mickey, Minnie, Plute, Donald, Goofy. were very attentive and patient. The food was better this time than the last and the buffet had good selections, of pastas veggies, potatoes, carved meats, salad, etc. . The kids buffet consisted of chicken tenders, hot dogs, pizza, mac & cheese etc. but, the kids can eat anything off the regualr buffet that they want. The kids especially like the dessert buffet and all the toppings available for the make your own sundaes. Chef Mickey's is a MUST do for our family on every vacation. It can be a bit loud but, no one seems to mind because everyone is having a great time!
We ate here on February 1st for dinner, we were a Grand Gathering of 15 plus 1 in a high-chair. We waited about 40 minutes for our table but we were a bit early, it was only about 10-15 minutes past our actual seating time. Unfortunately, we were seated at 3 seperate tables in the same area but, not close enough to talk to each other. We were told that it would be an additional 30-45 minutes if we wanted to sit together. My Hubby and I had the skillet which had pulled pork(to die for), ribs (delicious but a little fatty) and roast chicken (very tasty). It also had corn-on-the-cob(good and crisp not mushy), and mashed potates( yummy). The other members of our party had either the skillet, prime rib or chicken everyone said the food was good. The portions are quite large even the salad was huge. The kids had chicken tenders, mac & cheese, burgers etc. they enjoyed the food as well. Our waitress was very entertaining and sweet. She was quick with refills or anything else we needed. The kids loved the pony on a stick contest (they race around the restaurant like the old west). We ordered a special cake for my nephews 8th birthday and the waitress had all the little girls come to our table to sing Happy Birthday to him it was adorable, and he had a huge smile on his face! Be warned this restaurant is very LOUD but, the kids seem to love it and the food is good.
We ate here on Jan. 30th for dinner for my husbands 38th Birthday! We were a Grand Gathering of 14 plus 1 in a high-chair and they were able to seat us at 1 very large table. Our reservation was for 7:30 pm but we arrived before 7pm and we were seated almost 30 minutes EARLY, which was great. The dinner "show" with the lady that sings and plays the ukele was a bit annoying but cute, especially when they chose my husband and mother to be part of the show. It was hysterical, they had to wear grass skirts and lei's and march around the restaurant leading all the children to the limbo contest, my sisters and I thought we were going to wet our pants we were laughing so hard. The kids had a blast with the limbo contest and coconut rolling contest. The food was good, beef, pork, huge shrimp and chicken(I think) served on 3 ft skewers. The scalloped potatoes were delicious as were the wings that were served for an appetizer. Salad and shrimp were also served as appetizers. The kids were able to order chicken fingers and fries if they didn't want the other food. I ordered a special cake 3 weeks before to celebrate my hubbys birthday, the servers and hawaiian singer made a big deal of his birthday by singing and encouraging the entire restaurant to sing.
We ate here on Jan. 31st for dinner, we were a Grand Gathering of 14 plus 1 infant in a High-chair. Unfortunately, we were not seated anywhere near each other, we were seperated into 2 tables but at opposite ends of the restaurant. Most of us have eaten here before and as always it did not disappoint. The seafood selection was good as was the selection of other foods. All the food was well prepared and our server was very attentive with refills etc. . We would definately return here and we would highly recommend Cape May Cafe to others. Even though I don't like seafood there is always plenty of other things for me to choose from such as pastas, carved meats, beef stew, roast chicken,a large salad bar, veggies and other foods. The kids won't be disappointed either, they can eat from the kids area that serves pizza, chicken tenders, mac & cheese, hot dogs or they can eat anything from the regular buffet that they want.
My family does not enjoy any kind of chineese food, but this was the best meal we've had in Disney
I love it and Chicken leg with Mash Potatoes are awesome i will get it again!
The good: They still have cherry coke The Bad: There is no pepsi The Ugly: The coke is still coke!
I have dined at San Angel Inn three times. Each time the food was delicious and the service great. The atmosphere... overlooking the tranquil boat ride below a distant gently rumbling volcano was nothing less than magical. I like my food highly seasoned and so requested that it be prepared with a bit more spice. The result - delicious! A great and convenient break as one journeys around World Showcase.
Our favorite counter service. Great fish, chips and beer!!
Great food and service at the golf course!!
Best pastry in World Showcase
No discussion, it is a 10 for ice cream!!
The barbecue is ok for a fast food place, but not even close to Texas BBQ.
Best spot for breakfast or lunch sandwiches!! Best value at Disney.
Typical WDW counter service. Good enough, usually crowded.
One of the best counter service at MK
We always grab a hot dog here everytime we are at the MK.
Great nachos (for Disney) and super Margaritas!!
Most of the pastry was fresh and good. Some is bland!
Not only the best ice cream, great food too.
Nothing fresh here. Burgers and pizza were cold.
Buffet is average but it is a fun place
I look forward to tea at Anandapur Tea Co every time I visit Animal Kingdom. Sometimes going to a "theme park" is just a lot of rushing around getting to the rides and attractions. I look forward to walking around and enjoying the beautiful theming and atmosphere at this unique park, and I take my tea-time to take in the sights. Not only is the tea fantastic, but they have plenty of choices.
There were four of us at Epcot for Illuminations and 2 of us were determined to try the Fish & Chips. We ended up buying 4 orders 9they smelt so good that we knew we end up sharing) and everyone ate. A short walk across the bridge to our spot by the lagoon and a wonderful feast and spectacular view.
The restaurant was extremely loud even by disney standards. The entertainer drove us crazy with her sining..... The food was not great either. Definitely not worth the money. You can get better food at counter service.
I really liked this food court! We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here while on a recent trip and really can't complain about anything! There were a lot of choices for all meal periods. Prices are very reasonable. Quality was good! It's not like eating at a fancy sit down restaurant, but for a food court it more than does the job. My favorite item that I had was a Muffuletta sandwich at lunch. I thought I wasn't going to like it when I realized it didn't have the actual toppings I was expecting, but what it had instead was a sort of "spread" which turned out to have a bunch of flavor and was very easy to eat. I loved it! Overall, as far as food courts go, I would say 9 out of 10.
Was there December 07 I have a 2 year old 5 year old and a 9 year old we went there for breakfast i have never seen my 2 year old sit so still and eat. But then he seen jojo and the others it was party time he was dancing every where i loved it just for the simple reason of how it was for my children. The food was okay im a pickey eatter so but what i did have was good. But with all the excitment by 2 and 5 year old still had alot to eat and wasready to ride some rides and go see what else there was there.
I loved how mickey and all the others was with my children its was great.Didnt care so much for the food.I have a 2 year old who eats almost anything and would not eat that food. The guy who served us was great he was the best out of every where we had been.I was there for 7 days 6 nights so i had a lot of food there. Great place to meet mickey and all the others my children loved it i loved meeting mickey for the first time just only if the food was better. Sorry didnt mean to go on and on
I love this place! The character meal is awesome. You always get lots of quality time with the critters. Even picky eaters can find something to eat here too. Any meal at the Garden Grill is relaxing because it is so quiet and laid back.
The Edy's ice cream here is great. I always get an ice cream sandwich from here and share it with someone else. It is huge and a good deal at $4.99 since two people can easily share it. The lines aren't crazy to get served. Sitting on the terrace is nice especially if the Fountain of Nations is preforming.
I love this food court. The theming is nice and seating is usually available even during the morning rush. The BEINGNETS are a must have! The rest of the menu is pretty much standard for any of the resorts across property.
This location is good for exactly what it says...tea. The selection here is very good and you will see things you probably have never tried before. It is also nice to see them using fresh tea leaves and making the bags. The drawback here is the $2.50 price tag for the small cup you get. However, if the weather is cool enough and you like tea, you should make a stop and try a cup.
While the Yak and Yeti counter Serve location isn't the greatest food in the world, it is a definite nice change from the standard hamburger. When I first looked at the menu I thought the prices were a little high. However, when I received my order of Honey Chicken, I felt it was justified. You get a nice size container filled with sticky rice and your meal. For 8 dollars, I don't think that it is too bad. So, if you are in Animal Kingdom, I recommend taking a break from Restaurantosaurus or Pizzafari and giving Y&Y QS a try.
This was our third time eating at the San Angel Inn, and it was only so-so. The atmosphere is AMAZING (especially if you are lucky enough to catch the mariachi band), the food is good, but the service is what continues to bring the restaurant down for us. We enjoyed the meal, but it was a little difficult keeping our little one occupied while we tried to find our waiter for the check.
This is our favorite place to eat in EPCOT!!! The food, service, and atmosphere are always great. Plus the Chocolate Moose dessert is pretty funny and tasty!
The food at Tutto is very good, however it is VERY pricey and I would have not eaten here had it not been included in the DDP! The steak and lamb dishes are very tasty! Plus the variety of breads, veggies, and butters/oils are a great way to start the meal. However, the menu is a little vague in the descriptions so it took a lot of questions to figure out what everything was. The children's menu is pretty standard, but it was almost $10! It was pretty shocking. Overall it was pretty good, but it lacked a friendly and fun atsmosphere.
Sorry, Dole Whip, but there's a new sheriff in town and he's called the Strawberry Swirl. It's vanilla ice cream and a tangy strawberry sherbet swirled together that is absolutely delectable. I much prefer it over a Dole Whip and I think this is one of Magic Kingdom's best-kept secrets. You'll not be sorry by stopping midday for this snack.
This is a great place for a snack. It's nice to get a real ice cream cone rather than a pre-packaged ice cream from a cart. It's also very refreshing to sit out on the porch and watch the Fountain of Nations as you dig into a huge ice cream cone. It was also very quiet and crowd-free when we stopped in. I will definitely eat here again.
We always get a Strawberry Swirl from here..It is soo good! It is perfect on a warm day or any day really and it is in my opinion better then a Dole Whip..:) Make sure you stop and try one..:) I have also had the lemonade and it is really good..:)
After playing the Great American Pizza Game in innoventions, me and my friends had a HUGE craving for pizza... and realized this was the only place to grab some at Epcot. While it killed the pizza craving, of course it's nothing special. But pizza is one of those foods where it's kind of hard to have a bad one. The pizza is equivilant to a Tony's frozen individual pizza.
I have loved going to Tepanyaki so when they changed the look and everything, I thought it would still be great. Now, it wasn't horrible or anything- my DH loved his food, mine was just not what I was used to. I got the steak and it was overcooked a little and just not as good as it had been in the past. Our chef was good, but didn't do that many "tricks" or anything. All in all it was a good meal, and I will go back, but I hope that my food is better next time. Oh, and my kids loved it- kept them entertained watching their food being made.
Out of all the food courts in the resorts I have experienced, this one is by FAR my favorite. While the main entrees are nothing too special or different than you could get elsewhere (although I've never been dissapointed!), the desserts really bring it up a couple of notches! Hand dipped ice cream, baked goods, and of course, BEIGNETS!! Also exciting for me about this location is the fact that they offer Vanilla Coke in their soda fountains. (Although last time I was there, second week of December, they were out). The theming of this place is also very cool, as it feels like you're in a storage warehouse for Mardi Gras... very festive!
This is a great dining location, one of the best in WDW in my opinion. The fish and chips is the best I have had the world (and I'm English, so I know fish and chips!). For dessert, be sure to try the Creme Brulee or the mighty Bread and Butter Pudding. It doesnt sound great, but trust me, it is! Service is always good, the pricing is reasonable, the place has a large capacity, and is highly recommended!
This is one of the main places I have to go everytime I travel to WDW. The atmosphere is really great and so is the food. A little different than what I am used to, but I really like it.
We had dinner for two at Flying Fish Cafe... I went into it with fairly high expectations, and they were all met and exceeded! Service was excellent... all courses came with perfect timing. I had the crab cakes, which were mouth watering. For the entree, I chose their signature dish, the potato wrapped snapper. It was amazing. The dessert was a chocolate cake wth a melted center which was also fantastic. The atmosphere was nice on the night I was there, and it wasn't very crowded at all. I recommend it as a great date destination for those who are a little adventurous with their dining choices.
This is a must do on the first day of any of our trips. My son absolutely loves their calimari and their crab cakes are to die for! I enjoy the atmosphere in this restaurant. The service is great, as a matter of fact, we have always had the same waiter each visit. Not only is the food amazing, but I love the decor as well. If you look at the mural on the side wall towards the back of the restaurant you'll find a hidden mickey. The only draw back here is the bathroom. You have to walk to the front of the restaurant and through the side doors into the carndy shoppe to get to the restroom. Other than that it's great!
Awfully good that is! Hah! [/cheese] It's the perfect atmosphere to drink, be merry, and find out that you are part irish... even if you're not.
This meal was as great at Tepanyaki was. The chef's still put on a great show and the food is delicious!
We really liked the counter service portion of Yak and Yeti. There was nothing that made CS portion of the restaurant stand out from typical Chinese take out, but there was nothing outstandingly bad about it either. Also, the portion/price ratio was fairly good by Disney standards.
I have only tried one thing at Enchanted Grove, but the Strawberry Swirl is excellent! It is an excellent blend of strawberry and vanilla soft serve. I would have to rate it right up there with a dole whip! I would be hard-pressed to pick a favorite, it just depends if I am feeling like strawberry or pineapple that day!
We ate dinner at Raglan Road in September 2007. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. It is very dark, but we really felt that it had an authentic feel. I had the Portabello Mushroom Cap, and it was excellent! One of the better vegetarian dishes I have eaten at WDW. My wife enjoyed the fish and chips. She can be quite particular about her Fish and Chips, after all we lived in the UK for two years. My Father-in-law had the Shepard's Pie and he thought it was good as well. My mother-in-law ordered the romaine salad with chicken, and there was no complaints there either. The only thing we ordered off the childrens menu was the Mac & Cheese. Our DD actually didn't like it that well because it is made with dubliner (relatively strong) cheese. I liked it enough to take it back to our room at Saratoga Springs for a late night snack! Overall, we would definitely eat there again!
The Royal Anandapur Tea Company has a variety of teas ranging in flavor from sweet and mild to spicy and full-bodied. For $2.50 you can sample an exotic tea that may become a new favorite. If you prefer coffee there is a wider selection here than at Safari Coffee or Kusafiri.
I've been to the Garden Grill several times with my family, including some picky eaters, and loved it every time. The food is excellent and the staff is more than happy to bring out more of your favorites. In my experience the characters spend a little more time at your table than at other character meals. And there are crayons at the table to entertain the children (and adults) while you wait for your food.
...you'll love the counter service meals at Yak and Yeti. For the most part the food is pretty average. My sister described the shrimp lo mein as "ok." The egg rolls are delicious and the portion is very good for the price. The child's meal of an egg roll and fried rice was also a bargain. Otherwise the food is similar to your neighborhood Chinese take-out but with much higher prices.
In my opinion this is the best character meal on property. The way the tables are arranged you have complete privacy with each character and get to enjoy a nice QUIET meal, which is what sets it apart. This is also an ideal place for picky eaters and the food is excellent. And don't forget the whole restaurant rotates giving you changing scenery while you eat. This is our favorite sit down meal at WDW.
Some of the best meals I’ve had in Disney World, especially outside of Epcot & the Resorts. The restaurant is impeccably themed and the food is simply scrumptious. Ate there twice the first week of January. The second time, we had slower service than the first time. I'm sure it will only get better.
we tried this restuarant the first time on our last visit food was horrible and had no taste, tongs and spoons were dirty, food spilled out on counters and mixed into each others containers, not very clean at all when i made the reservations i asked if there were tables that fit just 2 people, the whole idea of sitting with 8 strangers at a picnic table did not appeal to me i was told there were smaller tables and it would be okay, when i got there, not small tables, the only tables fit 8 to 10 people we do not drink so the whole beer drinking was wasted on us, we went for the food and entertainment entertainment was boring and each set of performers went on way too long, after awhile no one was clapping or singing along the couple that sat next to us had one dish of food and left, they were there for maybe a total of 20 minutes we stayed for an hour, i was waiting for it to get better but it didn't being german myself, i was embarassed by the poor quality
This place is a great restaurant to visit at least once. There are some great movie props and artifacts all over the walls. The interior is huge, with 3 different levels. The food portions are very large, so come hungry! The quality of the food is fairly typical of a themed restaurant. It isn't bad by any means, but it isn't outstanding either. The cost is a little on the high side for what you get, but you may find it good value if you can eat very large portions.
Very good! The egg rolls were the best. We didn't care for the fried rice. Service was very good also. I would recommend this restaurant.
The pros- The restaurant itself is beautiful, the staff was up to Disney standards and the presentation was very good. The cons- Bad food and incredibly high prices (even for Disney). The food was fair at best. It was no better then an average Chinese take out and is some cases the food was not up to par even with that. Everything was bland beyond words or incredibly overpowered with one particular flavor. I started with the seared ahi tuna and save for the pepper on it it had no flavor whatsoever. For my entree I had the pho ( Lemon grass scented broth, poached shrimp, rice noodles, traditional Vietnamese garnishes) which should have a hint of a lemon taste and smell to the broth. It tasted like the broth was 100% lemon juice. Lunch for a party of 7 (6 adults 1 child) with no alcohol and 3 appetizers was well over $200 before tip. Yak and Yeti is definitely added to my very short "skip" list.
Stayed at the Polynesian and wanted a quick lunch. My burger was good. The Dole Whip was AWESOME.
We had the half slab of rib combo and it was quite filling. Plus it was delicious! Now I want some ribs!
We have eaten breakfast and lunch at Trails End and it is a great meal for the money. Of course, I think all the prices are too high for the food, but this one gives you a cozy atmosphere and if you camp in the campground, it is a nice break from cooking. A tip of the hat to Ken who has worked here over 25 years. Most of the wait staff are friendly and chatty and their to please. We always make it a point to eat at least one meal here each trip. The only food complaints are the pizza is not very good and the cornbread needs to be served warm. I know that sounds picky, but as a southerner, I just like my cornbread warm. : )
I just wanted to add to my review below that, although the dining experience was OK, the $120 bill between three people was not worth it. I'm not affraid to pay a hefty bill, but I didn't think the amount and quailty of food justifed that kind of spending.
I ate here the last day of my trip for breakfast. the characters were great and the buffet was by far the best breakfast buffet I have ever experienced.
The atmosphere is great and the food was good. I have been there twice, the first time the food was outstanding, the second was average.
great food, great atmposhere, the band is very entertaining...always a must stop for me and the family
I was never checked in when I checked in, so I ended up waiting an extra half hour or so for a table. The French Onion soup was amazing, the entrees were ok, nothing more. the atmosphere was great and the service was also great.
Restaurant was beautiful, the entertainment was great, food was outstanding, price was, well it's Disney.
We made reservations for Friday, December 28 for 6:00 PM for 5 people several weeks in advance. We showed up on time with 5 guests. They walk all 5 of us to a table for 4. We stood there. The hostess said, "oh." A waiter or manager (could not tell) then added a place setting at the end of the table. It was very uncomfortable. The service was slow, bread was served very late, did not get any refills -- like they forgot about us. The restaurant was not at all crowded when we arrived and when we left around 8:00 pm, the restaurant was busier but not full. The food was mediocre. I've had better steaks at Outback and for a lot less money. Oh, and the bill was $300 before tip and with no alcohol at all. I should have said something right when they seated us but I did not want to cause waves (plus we had a guest). In the future, when I receive poor service at such an upscale restaurant, I will speak up politely and firmly. But it will never again be at any Shula's Restaurant. Save your money. Later in the week, we had a wonderful dinner at Jiko's at AKL. We've also enjoyed Le Cellier. Go there instead.
Ah, sweets! It's the way to many a woman's heart (and men, too). We stopped by this "kafe" by chance one morning we were enjoying Epcot. They have this sticky-bun type thing, see, about the size of your head. It's covered in sweet white syrupy stuff and then sprinkled with coconut. "Mmmm!" says my wife. "Want to try some?" "In a minute.." I say. "There won't be any left in a minute!" she replies. And she's right. Nice, helpful Cast Members. Wonderfully themed. Tempting treats.
The cosmic cafe is the first place I eat when I get to Disney. BEST FRIES IN DISNEY, and Sonny is the favorite of my daughter.
We stayed near DTD (at Saratoga Springs) and were on the dining plan, so we ended up using many of our counter service meals at DTD. Wolfgang Puck Express was definitely our favorite choice. (Earl of Sandwich was second and Cookes of Dublin third) We ate here twice. On the first trip, DH and DS both had pizzas, which were delicious, and DD had the rotisserie chicken - her favorite. I ordered one thing but was served something different. When I checked the receipt, it had been entered wrong and in my haste to confirm that the dining credits had been correctly used, I missed seeing that my order was wrong. I can't even remember what I ordered, but I think I got the pesto chicken sandwich which was very good. It was sort of like a folded over pizza. I was disappointed at first, but once I tried it, I was just fine with it. On our last night we visited Wolfgang Puck Express to use up our remaining counter service credits. We had the chicken fingers and more pizza. The chicken fingers were good, but somewhere we had read that they were the best anywhere, and we really didn't find them to be any better than those in nice restaurants. (But definitely better than fast food) The dining plan includes drinks and dessert and they had mango tea - I liked it, DS did not - which was at least a bit of a change from the usual Coke products. Desserts were brownies and cookies both times. On the first visit they also had whole fruit as a choice and on the second visit they had creme brulee as a choice and it was wonderful.
This is the counter service counterpart to Raglan Road. We ate there for lunch one day. There were only a very few indoor seats, and those were only tables for 2, however, we were able to grab a couple for the four of us. Hubby and I had the fish and chips, because that was the house specialty. We thought they were tasty and good. The teens both chose the chicken and field mushroom pie. Sometimes "pot pies" are all pastry and sauce but these were full of good chicken and musrooms. Both kids really enjoyed them and ate them all. We were on the dining plan, which includes dessert. The only choice was the "doh-bar", which is a deep fried Snickers bar. It seemed very out of place - more appropriate for the county fair than this pub type restaurant. None of us really liked it - and we are no strangers to fried foods - especially fried sweet foods!! We also ate at Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express for counter service at DTD and liked both of those better than Cookes of Dublin, since they had a better selection for both entrees and desserts and had better seating. But the food was fine and if I were with a group of other people who wanted to eat there, I'd be OK with it.
We liked Les Chefs de France. In a way, you kind of have to know what to expect. The French do not over-eat like us Americans. They value taste and presentation over quantity. Thus, Les Chefs de France delivers. The taste of the food was great! The presentation of the food was also wonderful. And, as an added plus we got to leave without being over-full.
We loved Disney's Hoop De Doo Musical Review. The food was good and plentyful and the show was great, vaudville Disney style. It was funny enough that our 10-year-old was laughing her eyes out. What a great time, we'd go back!
We last visited Boma on our August 2007 vacation. We brought my wife's Dad who was born and raised in Africa. He thought it was great! He said that the food was a bit Americanized, not quite as spicy and/or sweeter than he remembers it being back in Africa. The check-in process was fine. Once the Cast Members found out that my father-in-law was from Africa, they spent lots of extra time with him asking about his memories of Africa. Way too soon, our table was ready. The theming was great and our server was friendly. We ate our fill of great ethnic food from the appitizers to the desert. All the food was well prepared and tasty. We had a bottle of wine with dinner and liked it so much that we ordered a case of it when we got home. It was a great experience, hearing my father-in-law tell stories about Africa with the Cast Members. We'd absolutely go back again!
First off we went Dec 14th for dinner and was seated about 10 minutes early. Worst place in the room by the bathroom doors. We were on the dining plan and so we got our apps which were great. The soup is the best thing I had had the whole week for an app, the men ate Nachos, and thought them to be good. So we thought our food would be good. It was the worst tasting food I ever put in my mouth. Not even close to even Mexico quality. I had some sort of chicken enchilda on my plate that was horrible and full of dark meat a dried out piece of steak, dried rice, and some rolled item. I could only stomach the rolled thing and left all the rest. my son in law took one bite of whatever thru up on the plate and pushed it away. There was another large group next to us that thought the same thing. Worst they ever had. We will not ever go back a very big dissapointment, besides waitress was no where to be seen almost the whole time we were there.
This was our first and last visit to Mam Melrose's. The service is substandard and the food was not good. My daughter, who would eat pasta 7 nights a week if she was able, didnt even eat the pasta at this restaurant. Pasta was way overcooked. The sauce was obviously from a jar, too. No reason to go back to Mama Melrose's. Food was tasteless and overcooked. Service was unfriendly and slow.
My family of four dined at Ohana the night we arrived in Disney. What a great place! The atmosphere if fun, casual, and festive. The food servings were quite generous and the flavors were authentic and delicious. Our server was very attentive. My children, ages 5 and 1, loved the entertainment and music. We all loved being served from the large skewers. This is a great place to have a great meal, tons of photo opportunities, and lots of fun. Terrific food-prepared with care and authenticit; no meat smoothered in sweet sauce, Terrific service, Clean and FUN FUN FUN
