This is a easy mini golf course. It has great themeing and is fun if you are looking for somthing different to do.
Winter Summerland mini golf is actually two courses. The winter side is themed as santa and his elves at the north pole (no big shocker there). However, the summer side mixes things up a bit and is themed as santa and his elves vacationing at the beach (an interesting concept). Like Fantasia Gardens, it is excellently themed (either winter or summer side). Also like Fantasia Gardens, it comes with a hefty price tag ($9/game?). A bit overpriced for mini-golf, but they do offer a deal where you get your second game in one day for half price (a great way to afford playing both the winter and summer sides of the course...if you call $13.50 for 2 games of mini-golf affordable).
Well, this is a very good mini-golf course, although the greens were getting a bit run down last time I played. Excellently themed and very colorful! Fun for kids, although it can be a bit of a tough course for them (depending on age). My only gripe is the price: $9. That's just a bit too steep for my liking for a mini-golf course, but it is Disney and I do go expecting to have my pocket "picked" some.
Fantasia golf is a great experience to have, even though the price is possibly even double the regular price to golf at any other mini-golf place. The theming is really nice here, and its one of the hardest courses ive ever seen. Make sure to take a trip here, even one hole will brighten your day!Take my advice try the course, you'll love it.
Very Cool Mini Golf Course. Located near the Disney MGM Studios and the Swan and Dolphin Resorts.
THE LARGEST MINI- GOLF COURSE I'VE PLAYED. IT WAS A WELCOME RELAXING BREAK TO A BUSY DISNEY VACATION.TRANSPORTATION FOM THE HOTEL WAS A HASSLE BECAUSE OF THE CHANGING AND WAITING FOR BUSES!!!!!!!!
Winter Summerland is a lot of fun. The theming is great! They even play Christmas music. The snow side is easier than the sand side. If you have some extra time and more importantly some extra money while at WDW give winter summerland a try. During the summer months, because of the heat, it's nearly empty during the day, but very crowded in the evening.
I was 18 years old when I attempted Oak Trail, I went to Oak Trail because I didn't want to spend a lot of money and I didn't want to attempt 18 holes. It's the only 9-hole in WDW, so it's good for the younger crowd. I got a tee-time for 3:30 in the afternoon, due to the price. The price drops significantly starting after 10AM. The heat wasn't a problem, but you must remember to wear sunglasses or at least a cap or visor. The only sour point for the day was when I sliced my newly purchased "fantasia mickey" golf ball on the first hole. After that though, I hit every drive fairly straight. It was a good day, it's definately the best 9-hole I've ever played! The only problem I found was the "no-cart" rule. Their are no Electric Golf Carts to rent, it's a walking course. You can only rent a pull cart.
My first WDW golfing experience was a fun one. It was a hot muggy August day at Disneyworld. I had finally, after about 25 or so trips, brought my clubs with me. I made my reservations about a month earlier for the Palm. I have always wanted to take my picture on the famous Mickey sand trap. Well, about two days before we departed, we got a phone call. The Palm and Magnolia were both being closed for work for the upcoming National Car Rental Open. We were then asked if we would like to play on the Ospery Ridge courses. I was a little disappointed, but I said sure. Once we got to the course, it was everything that it was promised. Great food at the bar and grill, a very neat and clean pro shop, and a beautiful wide open course with very manicured fairways and wide open spaces. Of course, I only hit the fairways a few times. As the day rolled on, the hot Florida sun was beating down. The golf course ranger came to our group about every 5 minutes with ICE COLD TOWELS and ICE COLD WATER. This was very unexpected, and very refreshing. I am looking forward to my next golfing adventure at WDW, and would defiantely recommend these courses for a fun and challenging round of golf.
