Yes I realize that. I was frustrated another poster did not realize it. But thanks for seconding my opinion. The more I learn about the real facts of Disney Springs the better it gets.

where is this actually located? its hard to tell from the pics. will be curious how they will design it to be accessed if it will be more a hangout location or a walk thru location actually going from a point A to a point B

probably not till closer to completion/grand opening.. they wouldn't want to start calling it the new name while its still a giant construction site the west side is suppose to be the "urban" theme, so this fits in to this example the Chicago L and the NYC High Line Doesn't seem like they are dragging it out. they have 5 cranes. and who says they aren't working 24/7 for some things you can't do it 24/7 I mean concrete has to dry/cure.. and they probably spend the nights doing alot of materials deliveries, etc, which is probably sure to be more evident soon once pre cast beams/etc begin arriving, as they would want to keep these 60ft plus trailer loads away from consumer traffic as much as possible. well said.. they dont have to announce tenants since the project is a go ahead regardless and not dependent on financing, and disney controls most of their own zoning etc, which isn't changing a big shopping area is simply getting bigger, the zoning isn't changing. Based on what information? The final outcome not matching what YOU wish to see? I think that's pretty presumptuous. For all we know they would have everyone and their mother lined up but people don't want to deal with disney's terms... We don't know what decides the tenants . There's been a bunch announced there logos were released awhile back, any spaces left i'm sure they won't have a problem filling.. if they are being picky its because its disney and thus far anyways they've tried to stay unique a little (adding starbucks isn't really unique, but its popular) we can all hope that they will be more selective and not simply add the run of the mill stores that you will find any any mall.

Well for (a) they are having a hard time attracting, what I would class, as anchor tenants. Based on what information? The final outcome not matching what YOU wish to see? I think that's pretty presumptuous. For all we know they would have everyone and their mother lined up but people don't want to deal with disney's terms... We don't know what decides the tenants .

Don't most people announce tenants to a) establish their anchors.. to attract more tenants b) help establish their project's identity in the community to get support for locality things like zoning, support, etc Why does Disney need to do any of that with DTD? For a... it's freaking Disney. For b.. they can do what they want without the need to schmooze local politicans or community groups.

If I may ask, is this speculation or do you have a reliable source(s) which indicates actual tenants have been signed? We know about Starbucks and The Boat House, obviously, but is there anything else that seems likely?

I feel construction here is fast for Disney with a pretty short timescale for near-complete reno of a facility that needs to stay open to guests the whole time. It's not like they are just closing the whole place, demoing, and building the streets of London on a closed site.

I feel they are certainly dragging out construction but more so with the construction order that garage should be having people working on it 24/7 the 'High Line' stuff should be rushed to get it done ... plus funny that Disney doesn't want to yet shopping centre's around the world at least announce key tenants before construction.

The vendors will announce closer to opening. They are already physically building for tenants, even though they are not announced. They are certainly not dragging out construction. That may be true for Fantasyland but not at Springs.

A really nice part of the Disney Springs high line is the shade it will provide. In the summer the sun in the West Side can be brutal. I think this addition will encourage people to stay in that area.

Careful what you say....most people think this is "just another shopping mall" :) Disney doesn't seem to be messing around on this and construction seems to be happening everywhere you look

This project really has potential to be gorgeous. Between the food trucks, and the high line, they're really drawing inspiration from big cities. I can't wait to see it finished.
