Changed our reservations from December to October to be able to take in this event and found that it was well worth it. The adults in costume was a blast. This event is well handled by WDW and shows the care that is taken to assure this fun event. If you have to opportunity to attend this do so.
Make it a point to attend this \'Party\' each visit - I usually go to WDW each December. The attendance has increased over the years. The limited attendance should mean what it says, but I guess this depends on what one considers \'limited attendance\'. The parade is the best WDW has and the cast members appear more joyful than usual. It is truly a great way to kick off your Christmas celebrations. I can\'t wait until next year to attend again. Don\'t get overexcited over the Hot Chocolate and Cookies - but I don\'t pass them up either.
Liked the theming and parade, but that was available at other times. You do get free hot chocolate and cookies which were needed in the frigid weather (I\\\'m from the south too). Ride lines were long, but characters were frequent.
Never again will we visit MGM during Super Soap Weekend. I\'ve never seen so many people pushing and cutting in line before. This event is heavily attended and I learned that soap watchers are pushy, to say the least. Our party consisted of myself, my husband, my mother, sister and nephew. I am a HUGE lover of All My Children so my hopes for this event were high. It was a huge disappointment. The lines were longer than any I have ever seen. People were pushing and grabbing for autograph photos. As much as I love AMC, I will never go back for Super Soap Weekend. Has anyone else had this same experience?
I thought that this was a really nice festival, but traveling with a child makes your priorities a little different. this is one of those events that you need to slow down and really enjoy. My 9 year old could give 2 hoots about wine and cuisine! The little tastes we were able to partake were nice, though!
I went to Star Wars Weekend for two weekends in May 2005. I am a huge Star Wars fan and I loved the event! At first it seemed like there wasn\\\'t much of a difference between a regular day at MGM and Star Wars Weekend, but I was wrong. It was all of the little things that made the weekend a great time; from the Star Wars themed characters everywhere to themed Millionaire, the events throughout the day gave you a taste of Disney magic with a twist of Star Wars.
