My Mum loves this store! She's not a fan of Splash Mountain because she hates the drops and the prospect of getting soaked, but she is more than happy to wait for us in this store, even if the queue time is over an hour! There's nothing she loves more than looking at all the colourful t-shirts and bags and purses and pins and watching the world go by in her rocking-chair. The amount of times I've come back to find her chatting away with a total stranger! The decor in this store is brilliant, continuing the deep south theme in a way only Disney can achieve. A great way to end any visit to Splash Mountain or Frontierland!
This is an okay shop. It's good if you're in the area and you're waiting for someone to get off a ride or waiting for a reservation, but if you want to get to the other attractions I wouldn't suggest spending too much time in here unless you're a hardcore fan :)
Will give detailed ratings later, bought my Splash photo here, more attractive than the Tower of Terror shop, but not as cool as the Aerosmith shop.
After exiting Splash Mountain and seeing the ride photos, the Briar Patch is the next thing that you will go through. It's the only place to purchase ride pictures from Splash Mountain and it has a variety of SM t-shirts and other merchandise. The shop looks a lot like the waiting of the ride.
IT SEEMS SINCE THE "SONG OF THE SOUTH" THEME OF SPLASH MOUNTAIN IS'NT POLICTICALY CORRECT THE STORE ENDS UP WITH MORE POOH STUFF THAN BRIAR PATCH.
This shop is one of the nicest themed ones in the park. The Splash Mountain theme is carried over into the shop complete with tunnels that look like Briar Rabbit's house complete with nicely furnished rooms. The merchendise available in mostly based on Winnie the Pooh, but the shop is worth a stop if only just to take a look at the wonderful theming.
It has good value for money, and it sure is kid friendly. But I want someone to explain me WHY the Splash Mountain shop has Pooh merchandise. It just doesn't make any sense. And then people ask me why I don't like the bear! He's taking over the whole park!! Anyways, on the shop, you can get books with the Song of the South stories, some plushes, pins, t-shirts, and that's pretty much it. The cart right on the exit of the attraction is MUCH better themed.
