Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has given Walt Disney World state approval to begin a phased reopening of its theme parks on July 11.
Disney received an endorsement from the Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings on Wednesday, which led to Demings writing to the Governor later that day seeking approval for the reopening of Walt Disney World.
Disney plans to reopen Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom July 11, with EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios to follow on July 15 2020. Soft openings will occur before those dates with Cast Members and other invited audiences.
