The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) has today inducted Tony Baxter and Greg Hale into the IAAPA Hall of Fame.
Tony Baxter, who is a former Walt Disney Imagineering creative executive, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from IAAPA for his decades of work on some of Disney's most memorable attractions.
In his 43 year career Tony worked on an impressive number of Disney's signature attractions including Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones Adventure, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, The Land, The Seas and Imagination pavilions. He will be consulting on the rework of Splash Mountain into a Princess and the Frog themed ride.
Greg was also honored today for his accomplishments and contributions as a leader and innovator at Disney. As Disney Parks’ chief safety officer, Greg leads a global team of ride design, operations, maintenance and safety professionals. He holds a number of U.S. patents including one of the investors of Disney's FASTPASS services.
