The World Health Organization has updated its guidance on the use of masks to recommend that everyone wear a mask when in a public setting.
Previous recommendations from WHO suggested that only care workers and those with COVID-19 should wear masks.
The Center for Disease Control has recommended the use of masks for some time, and Disney has been using the CDC guidance as the basis of its reopening plans. Walt Disney World is requiring the use of masks at all of its theme parks and Disney Springs.
The updated guidance from WHO now aligns with the CDC, which should give help with presenting a consistent message on mitigating the spread of COVID-19.
