Disney has unveiled a first look at the Haunted Mansion Parlor, the world's first Haunted Mansion-inspired bar aboard Disney Cruise Line's newest ship, the Disney Treasure.

According to Disney, The Haunted Mansion Parlor will immerse guests in the next chapter of the Haunted Mansion saga, bringing this fan-favorite lore to life in a whole new way. The one-of-a-kind experience will be a swinging wake unlike any other, that of a jovial captain who entered the ghostly realm after a disastrous dinner with his beloved fiancé.

The design of the Haunted Mansion Parlor will resemble a first-class drawing room of a classic cruise liner from the golden age, invoking inspiration from the original Haunted Mansion with a nautical twist. Complete with nostalgic tributes to Haunted Mansion attractions around the world, fans will recognize the iconic wallpaper and the distinctive purple armchair tucked in the corner.

You will also encounter a few legendary characters from the original Disney Parks attraction, as well as some new seafaring arrivals, in a portrait gallery depicting the Disney Treasure's own ghostly residents.

Watch the video below to see more of the Haunted Mansion Parlor.

Exclusive Haunted Mansion Merchandise Aboard Disney Treasure

Onboard the Disney Treasure, an exclusive new merchandise collection will be available.

The Haunted Mansion Parlor Music Box will be a keepsake inspired by an eerie music box that will be found inside the Haunted Mansion Parlor. As the rumors go, this mysterious box belonged to the captain's bride-to-be and only opens in the presence of malevolent spirits.

Inspired by the old grandfather clock from the original Disney Parks attraction, the Haunted Mansion Parlor clock will evoke the nostalgic allure of the Haunted Mansion.

And, a ghost may even follow you home on your voyage… The Haunted Mansion Parlor Mirror will offer a frightening surprise when the hitchhiking ghosts mysteriously appear in the frame.

Cocktails from the Beyond: A Look at the Haunted Mansion Parlor Menu

The Ghoulish Delight will combine ube fudge, oat milk and tapioca pearls into a glittery purple concoction, garnished with a gummy eyeball.

A ghostly twist on a classic margarita, presented to guests amidst a swirl of flavored smoke, will be another signature drink at the Haunted Mansion Parlor. Topped with a lemon salt foam, this tequila-based cocktail will contain a secret message, only to be revealed by black light.

Sympathetic Libations, will invite you to sip on sour cherry and blood orange flavors in a specialty tiki mug.

The Disney Treasure is set to make its maiden voyage on December 21, 2024, from Port Canaveral, Florida. The ship will offer seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries.

I am curious leaving aside personal taste, why wouldn’t Disney want to lean into more heavy Disney Theming for its ships? I mean they are trying to break in and now grab market share in the cruise industry. They need something that sets them apart from other options, and leveraging their IP seems the logical choice. It’s not price, as from comparisons I have done, more established commercial lines like royal caribean have better comparable price points. It’s not variety/options as right now the more established lines have bigger ships, a bigger fleet, and more offerings as far as trips and destinations. It’s not going to be the class/luxury option either as there are premium cruise lines that do that better, and given the younger/child demographic that Disney has, your likely not going to go that route (i am as big a park Disney/ip but as you can get, and while this ship might get me to try it, I have never been able to pull trigger as other lines are cheaper and like the late/great comedian John Pinnette said, “if it don’t have a buffet and a casino it ain’t sea worthy.” So given all that, isn’t what sets a Disney Cruise apart for all the other options…Disney? Why wouldn’t you play to your strength. I mean personal taste aside, it seems strange to want to spend money on a Disney trip, but then say I don’t like it, it feels too Disney for me

I mostly agree except for I probably would have said the first four ships are themed in a classy way. The wish is themed to Disney Disney Disney. And If I'm to be honest with myself, I think the Treasure is too but it's just doing a much better job of it. Honestly the grand parlor, The haunted Mansion lounge, the Skipper society, and even the 20K bar, all look significantly better than their artist renderings making me wonder if iger decided to loosen the purse strings just a little bit to ensure that the ship did better than the Wish? But yes it's definitely a case of Disney Disney Dizzy;) versus classic theme. I too prefer the classic theme (but I'm still very excited for the treasure. )

I don't think its all that hard to understand. The DCL ship IS the product that people are spending their time on and experiencing when on a cruise. Given the longer history and in some cases better price points of more traditional cruise lines, DCL needs to give people a reason to choose their ships over others. The themeing is that reason. To relate it to the land experience, the themeing of the ship, restaurants, rooms, ect ARE the attractions. On land, the Disney hotel rooms are NOT the attractions, the parks are. People already have a reason to choose on property hotels vs off property ones already outside of the theming, given easy access to parks, early entry, and other bonuses that make them preferable over off site other properties. While on a cruise the ideal for the company is keeping people on ship, using their facilities, Disney wants people in the parks. Most Disney hotels are not set up as all inclusive/resort type areas where they are looking to hold people on property. So they are putting the theming where they think they get the most ROI.

They're a little on-the-nose but I think they're tastefully done. The paintings are pretty derivative though. I do like that they kept the Winchester Mansion inspired stained glass window!

So far thoughts are that this definitely looks a lot better than the Wish. Obviously the layout is the layout for the most part so not much you can do there. Interested in seeing what other differences there will be. I am digging the look of Sarabi. And Skipper Society.

Having been on all 5 currently sailing DCL ships, the older ships are themed in a classy way. The newer ships are more heavily themed to "Disney, Disney, DISNEY!!!". This is indisputable, but you're going to disagree like you always do. You and I are never, EVER going to agree on DCL or theming, so it's best that you do not engage with my posts.

Really impressed with the Haunted Mansion bar, the Star Wars one barely made an effort to be one as if you removed the viewport, it wouldn't really be one. They went above and beyond with this one.

Heavily themed is much better then the lack of theming on the old ships. and they arent actually heavily themed. They are just themed in quite a classy way.

Literally! But it also looks to be much better executed than the original. I was totally ready to be underwhelmed like I was with the original. So far the reality seems to be actually better than the artist renderings. While I'm a fan of marvel. I'm not sure dedicating an entire Disney ship to it was the way to go so I'm not sure how excited I am for the destiny. So I think treasure is going to turn out to be the crown Jewel of the wish class.

And by “heavily themed”, you mean “beat you over the head every other second that you’re on a Disney ship”, correct? We can thank former Master Ship Builder Bob for that. And really both Bob’s, since one or the other had to sign off on these.

Where is the $6000 drink? Leaving money on the table if they are not offering a premium experience like that. People like to pay for premium things… don’t they? Or is that only applicable in the parks? Another Wish. 😴

A lot of the effects in the Parlor remind me of effects used at Club33 in DL.

The Parlor should capture the essence of the attraction rather than replicating its exact details or worse offer a watered down version of the attraction's gags. Directly lifting from the original creates a redundant experience. The creatives involved should have respected the original, offering a distinct and unique experience that stands on its own merits.

Let's revisit my theory about WDW selling off the resort hotels, shall we... ?
