Tiana's Bayou Adventure is no longer included in the list of available attractions for Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom. Originally slated to operate with a standby line during the separately ticketed event, the ride has been removed from Disney's official After Hours webpage and was unavailable during the first event of the season last night on January 6, 2025.

Reliability Issues Behind the Removal?

Since its opening, Tiana's Bayou Adventure has faced ongoing operational challenges, with frequent downtime continuing to impact daily operations. While Disney has not provided an official reason for the ride's removal from the After Hours lineup, the decision may be related to these reliability concerns.

Frontierland Options Are Now Limited

With Tiana's Bayou Adventure out of the After Hours rotation and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad closed for a lengthy refurbishment, guests looking for experiences in Frontierland during Disney After Hours have only Country Bear Musical Jamboree available. This significantly limits options in the area during the exclusive late-night events.

What's Still Available at Disney After Hours?

Despite these changes, guests attending Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom can still access other popular attractions with minimal wait times, including:

  • TRON Lightcycle / Run
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
  • Space Mountain
  • Haunted Mansion
  • Pirates of the Caribbean

In addition to attractions, the event also offers character meet-and-greets and complimentary snacks, including ice cream, popcorn, and select beverages.

What's Next for Tiana's Bayou Adventure at After Hours?

There is currently no timeline for when or if Tiana's Bayou Adventure may return to the After Hours lineup. It was included as part of the attraction lineup for the 2024 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, so it would seem likely that Disney would want the park's newest ride to be available during this year's ticketed events as soon as possible.

Upcoming Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Event Dates

  • January: 13, 20, 27
  • February: 3, 10, 17, 24
  • March: 3, 17, 24, 31

Tickets for Disney After Hours events range from $175 to $185 (plus tax) per person for Magic Kingdom. Discounts are available for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members.

Just have a late dinner at a monorail resort, set up shop on the Contemporary deck or Poly Beach and watch it for free. Then go back to the MK transport hub to go elsewhere.

What's the crowds like at these events when sold out? Don't laugh, but I wouldn't mind seeing Enchantment again.

Ooof… any other outlets carry these tickets? Undercover tourist also looks to be out for Feb 17

I wish they would have these on nights that arent already extra magic hours for deluxes.

That’s because the demand is so YUGE that the animatronic frogs were threatening to strike for higher voltage if they made them work one minute extra

These after hours events are becoming less and less of a value proposition, but scrapping TBA off of there is really pitiful.

AMAZING how these sellout….just at the buzzer… Best clutch operation in the game 🏀🗑️

We all know Disney changes things without notice...

It's just a guess. I could be wrong. Let's see if it's added back once it gets warmer at night.

I’m going to MK After Hours this Monday and it’ll be so cold I don’t think I’d want to ride TBA anyway. That said, I really hope TRON doesn’t go down with Big Thunder already out for the year.

I was planning on booking MK After Hours for our next trip, but if Tiana’s isn’t included I don’t think it’ll be worth the price tag. Even with the 7pm mix-in, I doubt the technology will allow us to join the virtual queue. It’s not that I have some deep-seeded love for Tiana’s either… but with that and BTMRR down it doesn’t make sense for our group that will be mostly teenagers and young adults. Lightning Lanes or maybe upgrading to Deluxe to get extended hours is looking to be a better option.
