Walt Disney World has announced early closures for Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom, with the attraction closing at 6:00 pm on several dates in January and February 2025.

The affected dates are all weekdays and include January 22, 24, 27-30, and February 3, 5-6. On weekends, the attraction is scheduled to operate for the full Magic Kingdom park hours (typically 10 pm or 11 pm).

While Disney hasn't provided an official reason for these early closures, they may be related to maintenance needs. Unlike its predecessor, Splash Mountain, which traditionally underwent annual refurbishment in January, Tiana's Bayou Adventure has not yet had a scheduled maintenance period since its opening in Summer 2024.

The early closures could be Disney's solution to address ongoing operational challenges and perform essential maintenance work. The attraction has experienced intermittent downtime issues since its debut, and these reduced operating hours may help resolve these technical problems.

"Don't we sell meat products here? Do all these animals running around know that we plan to slaughter them?"

“Why aren’t we invited to the party?” “I don’t know. Guess she doesn’t care about her employees that much after all.”

"Divorce? Isn't that a little extreme?" "She barely acknowledges he exists. It's been a long time comin' if you ask me."

That would make a great running post...."Things overheard from Tiana's Sweatshop Foods Factory Break Room"..... I'll start: "if we can get the critters to play music for a party for free, can we also get them to pack boxes and run the factory for free?

I can't make out what they're saying. So I'll fill in the blanks (forgive me, I think the recent weirdness of some of the other threads is rubbing off on me): "It's so strange how our boss can only move when the logs in the river through the middle of our factory start floating towards her." "Yes, and she keeps talking about how great those animals can play. Like, that's literally all she says. I'm a little concerned, because she ought to be discussing our company budget—how can we afford to let all these animals run loose in our food factory?" "I know, right! The incident with the bear sniffing up all the powdered sugar a couple months ago...I don't think the lawsuits have been settled yet, but it's not gonna be cheap." "Well, I ain't payin' for it. I say we charge the alligator that hangs around all day between his trumpet gigs. That in itself is weird, because alligators don't have lips!" "Well, maybe we should get back to work." "What are we even doing here, cooking? Packing food? Making beignets that will definitely not taste good by the time they get to where they're going?" "That's true. Who in 1927 is bulk ordering crates of beignets to be shipped somewhere? It doesn't actually make sense. You know what, I quit." "Me too. I'd say we could hitch a ride out of here on one of the company logs, but they're down for maintenance."

Oh good. When the ride is down we can listen to the door. Unless they turn off the audio when the ride is down. ;)

Good to see they have their eyes on the ball in terms of what’s been missing with this attraction.

Unfortunately you are 100% correct. The old way is almost completely gone.

And here we are. It PAYS to NOT spend time and money to fix things. Disney wins again.

Remember everyone: this company likes to present itself as a moral authority.

They announced $3B in stock buybacks in 2024. Won't someone think of the shareholders?

maybe all the money generated from the LLs will go towards a maintenance fund. 🤪
