Rating the attraction, it was 1 on a scale of 10. How could there be such a thing as "Person of the Century"? However, the fact that the attraction was ridiculous didn't stop me from having an opinion! Franklin Roosevelt got my vote for leadership in WWII; also only US President elected 3 times. Was very instrumental in ending the great depression as well. At the time, the US was becoming the world's most powerful (and respected) nation. Roosevelt had a huge part in that. I won't go into current politics here.
Part of old Communicore, this poll let you vote for your choice as Person of the Century. You were given a list of 50 people, among them Gandhi, Churchill, Kennedy, MLK, and Walt Disney, which were displayed on touch-screens (which, at the time, were considered state-of-the-art technology). Or, you could write-in your candidate if they weren't listed... Yes, I voted for myself. Shut up. You would have to. This is one of the things I liked about old EPCOT and Communicore. It was a simple exhibit, not very thrilling, certainly not an E-Ticket attraction, but I always made a point to go and vote. Just one of the little things that adds up to the whole that is WDW. As far as I know, no Person of the Century was ever named, and the attraction was pulled long before it's stated ending date: the year 2000. So, since it is unclaimed, and the title is not likely to be given out now, I will consider myself the winner, until otherwise notified. Yay me. :)
