Disney has honored four retired Walt Disney World leaders in a new window on Main Street U.S.A.
It isn't often that a new window is placed on Main Street U.S.A., but in mid-August, four recently retired leaders: Phil Holmes, Trevor Larsen, Jim MacPhee, and Djuan Rivers joined some of the most notable names in Walt Disney World's 50-year history.
The window can be found above Disney Clothiers on the left side of Main Street U.S.A. as you enter the park. "Academy of Talent Education & Training" is the business title. The faculty list displays each leader's name and one of the aspects of their careers that they have been recognized for. The overarching theme is "Inspiring Success for a New Century."
Former VP of nearly every Walt Disney World theme park, Phil Holmes, is recognized for Operational Excellence. Trevor Larsen, former vice president of Facilities and Operations Services, is recognized for "Engineering Leadership." Former EPCOT VP and lead on MyMagic+ Jim MacPhee for "Talent Development," and finally former Animal Kingdom VP Djuan Rivers for "International Operations," where he launched Aulani.
