The eighth themed port of Tokyo DisneySea will feature three areas, Rapunzel's Forest, Peter Pan's Never Land, and Frozen Kingdom, all inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios films.

Today Disney revealed the names and more details for the upcoming attractions in Fantasy Springs opening spring 2024 - Rapunzel's Lantern Festival, Anna and Elsa's Frozen Journey, Peter Pan's Never Land Adventure, and Fairy Tinker Bell's Busy Buggies.

Lantern Festival with Rapunzel

Here, you can experience Rapunzel's "best day ever" on Rapunzel's Lantern Festival attraction, where Rapunzel falls in love with Flynn Rider on a romantic boat ride to the annual Lantern Festival.

The Snuggly Duckling restaurant, reminiscent of the establishment by the same name from the film, includes various atmospheric dining areas.

Two Peter Pan attractions

Peter Pan's Never Land lets guests explore a pirate ship, dine in a secret hideaway or encounter pirates.

In Peter Pan's Never Land Adventure, join the Lost Kids as they explore Never Land with Peter Pan and Tinker Bell as well as help rescue John from Captain Hook.

Elsewhere, guests can help Tinker Bell deliver parcels and packages to the four seasonal areas of Pixie Hollow on the Fairy Tinker Bell's Busy Buggies attraction.

Lookout Cookout is made from found objects and shipwrecked parts, and includes views of Never Land.

Frozen Kingdom

During Anna and Elsa's Frozen Journey, relive the tale of two sisters and how they discovered that true love can thaw a frozen heart alongside fan-favorite songs from the film.

At Royal Banquet of Arendelle restaurant, you will find both an indoor and a covered outdoor dining area with beautiful views of the fjord cliffs and mountains in the distance. For snacks, Oaken, the owner of the cabin and sauna featured in the film, has you covered at Oaken's OK Foods.

Fantasy Springs Hotel

Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel is right next door where two dining options and a lobby lounge await.

Fantasy Springs Restaurant is perfect for those who crave a wide variety of options with buffet-style dining. Here you will even find paintings inspired by the Disney Animation films "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," "Tangled," and "Sleeping Beauty."

La Libellule offers special French cuisine, with views of the scenery in Fantasy Springs from the dining hall.

For a more laid-back atmosphere, head over to Grand Paradis Lounge, a lobby lounge with large, open windows.

Fantasy Springs Gifts merchandise store is the perfect place to buy gifts for friends and family.

I watched that video a while ago and it basically made all the points I thought but just worded way better The land has no streetmosphere or shows, it doesn’t feel like disneysea and leans way too hard on its rides over everything else leading to large amounts of dead space that are in actuality hiding show buildings I will also say PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE allow Tokyo bay guests to leave via fantasy springs hotel, even if it’s a one way exit, please

“””We often complain nowadays about Disney parks expansion….OOPS!! all E tickets; it’s great to see Fantasy Springs open with a smaller attraction(Buggies) for some variety”””

I thought this review was very interesting. Balanced, with some important issues pointed out.

The mix of tourists have also changed, Chinese tourist still haven't recovered while the western ones have boomed. I can imagine that the grow of westerns in Disneyland is larger than that number makes it look like.

Pre Covid international guests was like sub 5%. You could go almost the entire day and not see a “western” person 12.7% is actually higher than I would have imagined even given Japan’s soaring international tourist numbers

I'll be curious to see how much the percentage of foreign visitors continues to increase. The latest attendance report has foreign guests at 12.7% as of FY 2024, which still seems kind of low to me considering the unbelievably insane numbers of tourists that can be found in every single neighborhood of Tokyo these days.

I won’t say it doesn’t make sense to increase the focus on tourism. Japan is drowning in tourists who have access to a lot more money than the locals because of the weak yen and while Tokyo has never been “hostile” to foreign tourists it also wasn’t the most welcoming to them like say HK The tourist boom generated by the weak yen won’t last forever but increasing foreign tourism doesn’t seem like it will negatively affect the locals perception alone. Though possibly the other changes like loss of annual passes will

There is quite some evidence that they focus on a higher yield per capita. The more bigger vacation packages, Disney premier access, ticket price increases, only single day tickets and most importantly their sudden focus on overseas visitors. I really don't see them going back with AP's except if the tourism crashes.

That’s the problem though, the areas aren’t “empty” due to having future expansion space they are just dead zones

I’d be pretty surprised if 2024 (or at least the full operating year cycle of fantasy springs) hasn’t blown right passed that. The park is incredibly busy.

I feel like OLC making Fantasy Springs a broadly themed land where multiple IPs can co-exist instead of just focusing on Corona, Arendelle and Neverlands was deliberate - so they can easily add new popular IPs in the future without planning a whole land around it. So makes sense they leave some 'empty' areas for that possibility.

Supersnow849 days ago

That still is likely generated by prep for fantasy springs and the wider disneysea’s very slow return to pre Covid levels on the entertainment front There is little to suggest that OLC is bracing for the expectation of permanently lower guest numbers

Don't forget that when Fantasy Springs was designed the park attracted 14.6 million people annually, they most likely expected to break the 15 mil barrier after FS. However with the removal of AP and their new strategy that number has dropped to 12.4 in 2023.

I wouldn’t even be opposed to gift shops in random places not necessarily at the ride exits But why is there no gift shop besides the one in the basement of the hotel. Arendelle is a whole town there and doesn’t have a gift shop, neverland uses up so much space to do so little. About the only place I can legit see a gift shop not properly fitting is corona The land just doesn’t seem to have enough moving parts for what it’s meant to represent
