Disney has today announced a few more details about the upcoming refurbishment of Main Street Confectionary at the Magic Kingdom.
The refurbishment begins March 29 2021, and as part of the work there will be a brand new look, new interactive features to customize your confections, and an expanded layout.
Many of the treats from Main Street Confectionery will be available at Emporium and Main Street Cinema during the closure.
Main Street Cinema is currently closed to prepare for the change, and the artwork and collectibles sold there is now available at the recently reopened Bonjour! Village Gifts in Fantasyland.
The Chapeau will also close on March 29, and with that closure, the hats and embroidery service will relocated to Town Square Theater.
Most of the hats are already in place at Box Office Gifts in Town Square Theater.
Disney hasn't said where the expanded space for Main Street Confectionary will come from, but with The Chapeau closing and being connected, it appears this may become part of Main Street Confectionary.
The refurbishment of Main Street Confectionary will run through to at least June 5 2021, which is the furthest date out that the calendar currently shows. You can view all current and upcoming Walt Disney World refurbishments here.
