As part of National Veterans and Military Families Month, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin has made a charitable donation of over $13,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project. This donation, presented during the 15th annual Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic, supports the organization’s mission to assist post-9/11 veterans and their families.

Sean Verney, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Area General Manager and a U.S. military veteran, presented the donation to Lily Adix, Community Fundraising Specialist for Wounded Warrior Project, at the conclusion of the two-night event. The funds were raised through proceeds from the Food & Wine Classic, reflecting the resort’s commitment to community support.

The Wounded Warrior Project, founded in 2003 and based in Jacksonville, Fla., provides free programs and services to veterans who have sustained physical or mental injuries during or after their service. These offerings include mental health resources, career counseling, and long-term rehabilitation services.

“The support we’re receiving from the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic helps Wounded Warrior Project honor and empower warriors in their communities,” said Brea Kratzert Todd, Wounded Warrior Project Vice President of Business Development. “Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, warriors and their families never pay a penny for our programs and services.”

The donation is part of the Swan and Dolphin’s broader initiative to give back to the community. Verney highlighted the importance of supporting causes like Wounded Warrior Project, especially during a month dedicated to recognizing veterans and military families.
