We do work with other suppliers that sell Disney hotels as well as our Disney portal. If you contact us, make a note of this conversation and I can put you in touch with Marie (as long as she is not on a cruise lol) @wannabeBelle

Thanks! I was actually under the impression that TAs didn't have access to any discounts outside of what Disney was offering on their main website. Still exploring dates, but I will contact Kingdom Konsultant once I firm it up!

Depending on the nights you are looking at I was able to actually beat both of those prices for the King Bed room at Riverside!! I also checked it with the theme park tickets and it is still coming up less than your total, but it might be equal depending on the days selected. Disney focused TA's such as all of the Kingdom Konsultant agents love Disney and know the resorts and parks as the fans do. Purchasing from a website or a large conglomerate type of booking doesnt get you the same level of knowledge and service that a family run agency like @Kingdom Konsultant can. Marie

Just curious, what is the advantage of booking directly through Disney/TA vs using a site such as undercover tourist? It seems like whatever discounts are available from directly booking are passed down to Undercover Tourist. On a side note BJs whole sale travel and Perkspot through my work is also cheaper than Disney.com I just priced out 4 nights in mid November for a King Room at Port Orleans Riverside: Disney Room only: $1,695.39 USD Disney with 2 day park hopper (2 people): $2382.13 Undercover Tourist room only: $1438.54 Undercover Tourist 2 day park hopper (2 people): $2282.98

Now you can get 2 pretzels and a drink --how lucky can you be

Savings is savings! Nice work! I really prefer Beach Club, but understand there's a fat chance. Will keep randomly checking.

Thanks for this prompt to check again! Instead of saving $18/night on AS Music, I’m now saving $27/night on AS Sports.

1.5 days later I was able to snag a studio at BWV!

VacationeerJun 28, 2024

Yes there could be. But they also don’t have to wait for 60 day mark to predict breakage. Which I’d guess is at least a small amount of breakage across all DVC, and more with the least popular DVC point picks at the largest resorts. Beach Club is 3m points total, BW 5m, Bay Lake almost 6m, OKW and AKV about 7m each, and 14m at SSR. So Board Walk is likely to see more cash inventory than Beach Club villas due to size.

SchweinoJun 28, 2024

Good info - appreciate the share. So is this to say that at 60 day mark there could be a temp bump in inventory, if avail?

VacationeerJun 27, 2024

DVC/DVD has to keep 2%. There’s undeclared inventory from new resorts. There’s also points exchanged for cruises, rci, II, and other things that end up converting to cash inventory. I think these points can be used to book anything at 7 months and 7-11 months depending what resort the points originated. Plus breakage - DVD can sell for cash anything open in the last 60 day window and they’re actually allowed to predict to an extent, so they don’t need to wait until 60 days prior. They know things like 1BR at SSR and OKW will end up unused. Even in cases where they approach nearly booked up, a certain amount of reservations will reliably cancel/reschedule. It’s not limited to the most unpopular rooms though because a certain amount of people end up cancelling other rooms as well.

LaketravisJun 27, 2024

Yeah, this is BS - I wanted to book a 14 day stay for October or November. But the way the numbers roll it makes more sense for me to book Sunday-Thursday at WDW, roll over to USO for Friday-Saturday, then come back to WDW for another Sunday-Thursday. Or maybe even just roll offsite for those two nights.

Kingdom KonsultantJun 27, 2024

Sad but true unless there is a cancellation

SirwalterraleighJun 27, 2024

A very small number…the point of dvc is to lock people in for decades to come back…not to sell the rooms at a discount for 5 days to random people. Indeed. There’s about a million people under contract that have dibs. Leftovers? Sure. Wouldn’t be boardwalk or beach club at Christmas
