Demolition crews have arrived at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to begin clearing Luau Cove ready for construction of the new Disney Vacation Club Tower.
D.H. Griffin Wrecking of Tampa is carrying out the work, which has started promptly after filing a demolition permit in late April.
The new tower will be built on the site of the former Spirit of Aloha Dinner show at the Luau Cove with a planned opening in 2024.
