With Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to a permanent close at the end of September 2023, demand for the remaining dates appears to be strong.

Fans who were previously undecided or perhaps waiting for further price drops are now taking the plunge and making reservations.

August and September 2023 are now sold out, according to the latest availability calender, with just two voyages remaining in early July. Availability improves in the near future, with twelve dates currently available during May and June.

Disney reopened bookings this morning for the final voyages aboard the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser after Disney made the surprise announcement earlier this month that Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser would close after operating for just over a year.

The decision to completely abandon the project is extremely confusing to me also, this could have been a very easy transition into a really cool character dining experience. $65+ a person, 100 people per experience, 5 experiences a day for an hour and a half = 💰 . Seems like this could have been an easy $25k-50k a day in profit. I’d pay $75 in a heartbeat to go wander around the public areas of the ship for half an hour and then have a fun dining experience, they could probably charge $100 a person and still pull it off. Instead it’s going to be office space. Wasted opportunity.

He's leaving next year. It has ZERO to do with Cars Land.

Ohhh, can they make it look like a cafeteria and have someone in purple makeup circulate among the tables?

If you were paying attention, you'd know this had zero effect on Iger leaving.

“Making employees work inside the failed edifice of their predecessors” is pretty maniacal.

There are window openings, they are just covered up. It’s an easy retrofit.

I never posted this here before because I didn’t wanna’ offend anyone, but I don’t think it really matters anymore, at this point. From the very beginning, I just always thought of this thing as the “Star Wars: Galactic Losercruiser”….. :cautious:

Can't imagine actually working in the Starcruiser constantly is stimulating for the brain when you're an imagineer.

Still trying to wrap my head around why they couldn't: 1. Cut a chunk off the outrageous price tag (which was THE main deterrent for most, not the experience or concept) 2. Cut some of the actors/offerings to offset the lower pricing 3. Still run the concept and make a decent profit, just not what they originally planned with the extremely high prices. Disney could still settle for silver or bronze with this idea (imo), but instead they're choosing to forfeit altogether.
