Guests Will Travel Through Time at Walt Disney World's New Value Resort
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- A new hotel to be built at Walt Disney World Resort will send guests on a trip through American popular culture with larger-than-life icons that recall the way we lived, played and communicated during each decade of the 20th century. The 5,760-room resort will consist of 20 buildings that will be built in two phases, with the first phase of 2,880 rooms scheduled to open in 2002. Each pair of buildings in the resort will be themed to a different decade, from the 1900s to the 1990s. Cultural touchstones from each era will mark the entrances. The resort, currently unnamed, will join the 5,760 rooms of Disney's All-Star Resorts in offering Walt Disney World guests accommodations in the value category, currently priced from $74-$104 per room, per night.
