Progress continues at the construction site for Disney Lakeshore Lodge, the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resort scheduled to open in 2027 at Walt Disney World.

Photos from this week show that vertical construction has begun, with the first story of the resort now visible. These photos, taken from locations around Pioneer Hall, provide a clear view of the early structural framework along Bay Lake.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge will be inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists. According to Disney, the resort will offer a unique blend of rustic elegance and imaginative storytelling, providing guests with a serene escape along the shores of Bay Lake, between Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.

The original Reflections project was announced in 2018 as a deluxe nature-themed resort featuring over 900 hotel rooms and Disney Vacation Club villas. However, it was quietly shelved amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the area remained largely untouched until recent activity suggested the project might be revived.

It’s more than a kiddie pool.

What sucks is not that we trust concept arts but more so fall in love with them more than so likely than the final product. It's not like they did better or replaced something to the same level of what was shown. These features are additions that if weren't on the concept art we be accepting of what we got and wouldn't imagine the what if or this was!

Could that all changed due to the Moana statue, the location seems it's where it is...again budget cuts.

Thank's for pointing that out the waterfall feature next to the restaurant.

It seems like the weird tall apron around the rooms situated directly above the gym was also not supposed to be there originally.

It was originally going to be a split level pool with an infinity edge / waterfall between the two. Water from the upper pool would fall to the lower pool. There was also a waterfall between the pool and the bar. The art shows these features as does the originally blueprints for the project.

There are people depicted in the water on the far side of the pool. Not sure how anyone got "waterfalls" out of that.

I’m still not seeing it

Except when you then notice the waterfall walls. 😍!

Never trust concept art.

Shocking but this is the first time I notice the pool consists of waterfalls. I don't care for pools which is why back then my eyes were just drawn to seating, palm trees and building! 🙃 The waterfall aspect would been a great tribute to OG Polynesian!
