Walt Disney World will soon welcome Bluey, the Emmy-winning animated series that has become a global sensation, as part of an expanded collaboration between Disney and BBC Studios.

Fans will have new opportunities to interact with their favorite characters in the parks, on Disney Cruise Line, and at Disneyland Resort.

Josh D'Amaro, Chairman, Disney Experiences said:?"Bluey has become a household name for families around the world and we are thrilled to bring her story to life in new ways. We can't wait to watch our youngest guests and their families make memories with Bluey in our parks and on our cruises."  Ludo Studio, said: "'It's a lovely day to go boat riding' and we're incredibly excited that Bluey and Bingo will be sailing on Disney Cruises, bringing Bluey's magic to families on the high seas!"

While Disney hasn't yet revealed specifics about what Bluey will bring to Walt Disney World, it has promised unique experiences for fans. These could include character meet-and-greets, interactive activities, or live entertainment similar to what's planned for Disney Cruise Line voyages from Australia and New Zealand. Onboard those cruises, families will join Bluey and her sister, Bingo, for games and dance parties inspired by the show's playful spirit.

A Growing Partnership

The addition of Bluey to Disney's theme parks and cruise ships is part of a larger agreement with BBC Studios, which includes Disney securing global theatrical rights to a Bluey feature film. Slated for release in 2027, the movie will be produced by Ludo Studio and BBC Studios, with plans to stream on Disney+ after its theatrical run.

Bluey has resonated with audiences worldwide for its authentic, heartfelt storytelling about family life. Bringing the series to Disney Parks and cruise ships expands the show's reach and gives fans a chance to connect with Bluey in a whole new way.

Anything is better than the concept they seemingly scrapped. Arguably, I'm still very confused why they got rid of the health pavilion in the first place...

CJRDec 31, 2024

That's true, although I think they're still trying to keep Epcot as subsidized as possible, if they can. DAK has no such precedent. Keep in mind, with Bluey, I'd argue the former Play pavilion concept would have been better, given that the show is mostly about them playing games.

Disney can just build an Australia Pavilion if they desired.

CJRDec 30, 2024

Only if it's in EPCOT though right? Disney can just build it if it's in DAK.

Find an Australian company willing to spend half a billion to make it happen.

CJRDec 27, 2024

It would definitely be nice to see Australia get some representation, either at DAK or Epcot.

Hear me out, Bluey, EPCOT, . . . . Australia pavilion!!!!!!!

It's a secret code. I think it translates to, "Insiders are telling me that they are retheming American Adventure to Bluey Adventure."

AylaDec 22, 2024

Yes, I have been seeing it, too.

Brain fog...I had heard, but forgot. It's been a bit hectic this holiday season with medical needs.
