Orange County, where the majority of Walt Disney World is located, has dropped to the 'medium' level on the lasted update to the CDC's Community Levels by County Map.
Most significantly, the move to 'medium' means that the CDC does not recommend masks for most people in Orange County.
According to the CDC, Medium level specifies that:
- If you are at high risk for severe illness, talk to your healthcare provider about whether you need to wear a mask and take other precautions
- Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines
- Get tested if you have symptoms
Neighboring Osceola and Lake County also moved to 'Medium,' which is significant because many Cast Members live in those counties.
Walt Disney World dropped its mask requirements on February 17, except when on enclosed transportation. That policy remains in effect.
