The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District has released the agenda for the next Board of Supervisor meeting, to be held on December 6, 2023, at 9:30 am.
CFTOD meetings frequently offer insights into the workings of the Ron DeSantis-appointed governing district, but this next meeting looks like it will be especially interesting.
The agenda contains an entry under "New Business" titled "Discussion of Historical Issues Involving The Operation And Governance Of The District."
CFTOD Board of Supervisors have spent many hours, particularly in their early meetings, proclaiming how the district was, in their opinion, poorly managed under Disney's Reedy Creek Improvement District. But it seems that the new board now has even more to say on the subject.
The meeting comes just a few days before Judge Allen Winsor will hear arguments on December 12 at 9:30 at the federal courthouse in Tallahassee as CFTOD tries to dismiss a lawsuit filed by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts against DeSantis and the CFTOD board.
