Following from the late December introduction of FastPass+ to all guests at Disney's Animal Kingdom, the Magic Kingdom will be joining the program from January 14 2013.
Starting January 14 2014, legacy FASTPASS will be discontinued, and guests staying offsite will be able to make same day FastPass+ reservations for the Magic Kingdom by using in park kiosks. As with the Animal Kingdom test, FastPass+ selections, and any changes, will only be possible at an
in-park kiosk and not using the My Disney Experience apps.
Resort guests will continue to be able to use the full My Disney Experience to prebook FastPass+ picks ahead of time at all four parks. Offsite guests will be able to use legacy FASTPASS at Epcot and the Studios, and same-day FastPass+ at the Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom.
From January 14 2013, legacy FASTPASS will not be available at the Magic Kingdom to either onsite or offsite guests.
