Disney has updated its iOS "My Disney Experience" app to include new PhotoPass editing features.

You can now add stickers, filters, borders and crop to purchased images, which can then be saved to your device camera roll for sharing.

Also part of the app update is enhanced attraction wait time information, which uses location services and Bluetooth to improve performance.

The update is available now.

Your groups of #1 and #2 are applicable to the majority of "new" offerings at WDW. But then there is Group #3- the ones who wish to just complain about anything and everything that doesn't effect them. They don't like because it doesn't suit their wants, and for this reason alone the new "feature" or "offering" is deserving of attacks and dramatic reasons of why it is so detrimental to all human kind who visit WDW.

No one noticed the real story of this update? They are now using everyone's phone's location to help calculate wait times.

Are you even paying attention? It's not a different opinion, as I've already said this is a product that I have no interest in and will not use. My issue is not with difference of opinion, it's with constant complaining for no reason. There are two groups of people relative to this new offering: 1. People who like the idea: For those people, this is a positive guest-service change from Disney. 2. People who do not like the idea: For those people, this is a neutral change that will not affect them in any way whatsoever. There's absolutely nobody for whom this new offering has a negative impact, thus I consider complaining about it to be illegitimate.

Wow that's neat! I've never had the DL app so have no clue what it's like. I'm still confused over the android first thing though! Either way that would have been nice to have a week ago.

I had no clue. Thanks for sharing... That's interesting.

Yes, but just temporarily. I'm sure they rolled it to Android first to test the experience and work out kinks before pushing it to iOS. Next update on iOS will be the 4.0 version and it's supposed to come very soon, from what I have heard.

Ok now this bothers me.lol The android app is better than the iOS one?!

EthanMagicBandsDec 09, 2016

You guys seems to be missing the bigger story here, which is that the Android version of the app was upgraded to 4.0 (iOS is only on 3.8), which completely redesigned the app to look, feel, and work like the current Disneyland app. MAJOR MAJOR change.

people are allowed to have opinions that differ from yours, arent they?

Granted no I would not be happy if my child got pushed but it's not a Disney problem or the app it's a society problem. Again even if Disney had no app at all these same people would be causing the same problems by using other social media etc or in general not paying attention. I see this everywhere even on the road not just at Disney. It's not going to change so I just don't let it get to me in that way. If something directly affects me I won't be thrilled but it's the persons fault that does it, not the internets or company's fault. ;)

I understand, and agree. However, it is another distraction, and they keep adding up. You might change your mind when somebody pushes your child (like one did to my 3 year girl in Dumbo) only to find out the parents were too busy putting a cute little border on a photo opposed to watching, or enjoying the moment with their child. I wonder if I can put a cute border on a picture of future world rotting if it would make it look better?

sxeensweetDec 08, 2016

I see that all the time but it's not my kids, and would feel the same if I had kids or not, as do many of my family and friends that have kids that go to Disney. We all don't let it bother us this much. Like I said these same people already do it anyway regardless of this new added feature. :)

Focus has everything to do with it this. They have invested so heavily on MM+ they have to constantly attempt to engage people with it. The reward here is very little vs the cost and attention it has received. This is not a MM+ rant, rather than a grievance against more technology delivered digitally, opposed to something more meaningful.
