The popularity of Disney World's Lightning Lane Premier Pass is continuing this week, with additional sell-out dates now confirmed during the busy Thanksgiving holiday season.

As of today, the following new dates have sold out:

  • Magic Kingdom: November 29
  • Hollywood Studios: November 26 and 27

These newly sold-out dates add to an already busy week for the Premier Pass, which has been in high demand across all four parks.

Overview of Sold-Out Dates

Here is a complete look at the Lightning Lane Premier Pass sell-outs for Thanksgiving week so far:

Why the Premier Pass Is in Demand

The Lightning Lane Premier Pass offers one-time access to every available Lightning Lane attraction in a single park for a day, with no need to book arrival windows for individual rides. It's a flexible option that's particularly appealing during peak crowd periods like Thanksgiving week.

Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are especially popular choices for the Premier Pass, with high-demand attractions such as TRON Lightcycle / Run, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance likely contributing to the sell-outs.

Planning Ahead for Future Visits

If you're planning a trip to Disney World during the upcoming holiday season, consider the following tips to secure a Lightning Lane Premier Pass:

  • Purchase Early: Eligible guests can buy the Premier Pass up to seven days before their resort stay begins. Availability is limited, so act quickly.
  • Check Availability Frequently: Keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app for real-time updates on remaining availability for your travel dates.
  • Explore Other Options: If the Premier Pass isn't available, consider using the Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Lightning Lane Single pass, which may still have openings.

Looking Ahead to December Holidays

As Thanksgiving week shows, demand for the Lightning Lane Premier Pass peaks during major holidays. With Christmas and New Year's approaching, similar sell-outs are likely. Guests visiting during these times should plan ahead to secure access to this new service.

Stay tuned for updates on sold-out dates and tips for navigating Walt Disney World during the busy holiday season.

We always go to WDW in the fall/winter when the chillier conditions already decrease the heat risk on my Gfs health, MP will allow us to continue to do that, so in that scenario it works. It’s no replacement for DAS in the heat though so we still won’t be renewing our DL keys as we still won’t be able to go during the hot months without DAS. It’s far from a perfect alternative but at least we aren’t completely shut out which is what we feared. Our formerly 30+ days a year at the parks (8-10 weekend trips to DL plus a week in WDW) is now likely 4-10 days (our normal winter week in WDW and now likely a cool weather weekend or 2 in DL) but that’s a whole lot better than 0.

So it was a perfectly acceptable alternative to DAS.

Just returned from our WDW trip and gotta say we really enjoyed MultiPass, felt nearly like the old days with FP, just wish they’d eliminate the 1 time per ride limitation. Frustrating to have to pay for something that was previously free but at least it was a good experience. If they’d offer a yearly option we’d consider keeping our DL keys but it just doesn’t make financial sense to buy an annual pass and then have to pay an extra $20-30 daily just to enjoy the rides also.

and the services of the CM and you can go to multiple parks while LLPP only works at one park ... but yeah, if the main reason you are doing the VIP tour is to skip lines/get on rides then LLPP might be a good alternative

You get one ride on Tron, one on Tiana's and two rides on Guardians. Everything else offers re-rides, though frustratingly you have to sit through all the pre-shows every time. That's a big ask for a $750/hour tour - especially when you basically get the same thing (minus the car and fireworks viewing) for $300/person with the new product.

I should think cutting out daily room service saves WDW quite a bit of money.

I feel the complete opposite. I much prefer the ease of using Express Pass over WDW's LL's. At Universal, I just go on whichever ride I want, whenever I want, and I can go on it as many times in a row as I wish with minimal waiting. With EP, even over busy holiday weeks, which I've done many times, I do not wait 30+ for the rides at Universal. (If you're regularly waiting that long, you're likely doing something wrong.) At WDW, guests have to jump through all kinds of hoops to get a limited # of LL passes. It is not at all as easy to use as EP. Even if I bought LLPP, I'd only be able to ride each attraction once. I also dislike WDW's dumb 7am VQ lottery. In the morning, I want a few moments to quietly sip my coffee while I enjoy the sunrise. Alas, I vote with my wallet. I save WDW for slower months and favor Universal if I'm visiting Orlando over a major holiday week. MK still has better fireworks, but at present, US is vastly easier to tour over holiday weeks.

you sure about that? They may have changed it but I watched a couple of YouTubers and it was only once (no re rides) on the VIP tour and also on this one, they COULD NOT GET ON TRON!!!! it was when it first opened or previews or something

MisterPenguin12 days ago

The main VIP tour would allow unlimited re-rides.

I will reply to my own post with another - Since money is no object, bribe CMs at touch points. Everyone has a price.

Disstevefan112 days ago

lets go for 5 - (VQ, LL, LLPP, evening hour and 6PM VQ and VIP tour)

TheMaxRebo12 days ago

4 times on deluxe evening hour days with the 6pm VQ drop

Purduevian12 days ago

I didn't think about this, but it's technically possible to ride Guardians and Tiana's 3 times now (VQ, LL, LLPP)
