Disney Genie+ prices rise more than 30 percent from yesterday during Presidents Day Weekend at Disney World

Disney Genie+ at Walt Disney World has surged in price today during the busy Presidents Day Weekend to their highest levels in 2024.

Prices have risen as much as $7 compared to yesterday, with Animal Kingdom jumping from $18 to $25 today. Disney's Hollywood Studios is up $6 to $32, EPCOT is up $7 to $28, and Magic Kingdom and the Multi-Park option are up $6 to $35.

All four parks are just a few dollars short of their all-time highs from Christmas in 2023.

Individual Lightning Lane prices are at their highest levels but are unchanged from yesterday.

Disney Genie+ is a purchase option within the Disney Genie service that makes the former FastPass line available at select attractions, now called Lightning Lane. Certain headline attractions are not part of Genie+, and Lightning Lane access at those attractions requires an Individual Attraction purchase which varies in price.

The parks are busy. But today is a MVMCP day and MK closes at 6 so it was a lower crowd day. The other 3 parks were plenty busy.

I think the only answer is that an extremely high % of guests bought LLMP at MK today out of fears of long lines due to thanksgiving week. However, because it's a party day (closes at 6pm) there are just not as many people in the park as they expected. DHS and AK look miserable today Resort wide wait times at 2:00pm 205: ROTR 100: TOT. SDD 85: RNRC 80:FOP 65: TSM, Soarin, Navi, MMRR, 60: Remy, Safari, Frozen 55: 7D, MFSR, Kali, Alien, 45: EE 35: Tron, Star Tours, SM, Nemo, Pooh Everything else is 30 mins or less.

These are nice low waits but as you say, the park is not busy. When the park is busy the wait times raise rapidly then add in a breakdown or two and its havoc.

I know you do, but I'm not talking about you. As you have repeatedly acknowledged, Disney guests are not the same as people who frequent standard amusement parks. I'm talking about the people who are Disney's target audience given how they decided to price structure their paid system.

I view those waits as nothing. We are used to waiting in 90-120 minute queues at other parks all summer.

Those standby numbers are ridiculous to some people, including me. Could it be that people buying the LLs are the reason standby is not as high as in the past? Wasn’t the goal to fix LLs so standby would move more quickly?

MK is in a weird place right now... Only LLMP/LLSP left are Barnstormer (4:15), Dumbo (instant), Small world (2:25), Tea party (instant), Aladdin (3:20), Philharmagic (instant), Monsters inc (instant), and Speedway (2:20pm) Which is absolutely wild because the highest waits in the park are: 60: Tron 55: 7D 50: Pan 35: JC 30: Space and Big Thunder 25: Barnstormer 20: Pooh, HM So the parks aren't busy, but FOMO made everyone buy LLMP/LLSP today. I can't believe Buzz/Pirates are sold out before noon on a day where all but 3 rides are under 40 mins in the park. LLMP looks like I would expect... but standby looks like a nice September weekday. Party days do very strange things.

This particular week has been busy (and actually busy, not someone's random definition of "the parks are busy") every year.

The parks are always busy. It’s just a different excuse every week.

HauntedPirate1 day ago

Wait a minute... the parks are busy this week??

Chi841 day ago

It would be nice if Disney found the balance where the people who would rather pay than wait could buy enough LLs to free up the standby lanes for the ones who can easily wait 35 minutes.

Starting to see how this system works under busy days. Most people are probably grabbing #4 or #5 around now. 10:45am MK: Sold Out: Big Thunder, Haunted Mansion, Jingle Cruise, Pooh, Pan, Pirates, 7D, Tiana, Tron Past 4pm Buzz (4:05pm) EPCOT: Sold Out: Frozen, Guardians, Mission Space, Remy, Past 4pm SSE (4:45pm), Turtle Talk (4:40pm) DHS: Sold out: Slinky, ROTR, TSM, TOT Past 4pm: Alien (8:00pm), MMRR (7:15pm) MFSR (5:15pm), RNRC (8:00pm) AK: Sold out: FOP, Everest, FotLK, Kali, Safari, Navi Past 4pm: Dinosaur (5:05pm) *not that I was really trying, but I did see Pirates, Haunted Mansion, and TOT come back while I was doing this.

I was also there last week. Went to AK on 11/13. Didn't ride FOP, but under 5 min wait for Safari, Everest, dino, and triceratops. I waited 12 mins for Navi at the end of the night. MK of 11/14 (party day). I did LL for most attractions, but 10ish min wait for Buzz and small world. Finally EPCOT on 11/16 was actually busy, we LL everything but Frozen and remy were both posed over 70 mins when we rode and SSE and Soain were both 20+.

You must be mistaken. We were just told by people in the parks 2 weeks ago that they were packed, lines were long, and dining reservations difficult to obtain. Are you sure Tron wasn’t 85 minutes and your rose-colored glasses aren’t altering your memories to push an agenda? 😉
