Disney's Destination D23 Returns in 2025 with New Disney World Venue and Double the Size

Disney has revealed that Destination D23, the ultimate fan event from D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, will return in 2025. The event will take place at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort at Walt Disney World from August 29–31, 2025.

This marks a major expansion for the event, which is set to more than double in size compared to previous years. D23 Gold Members will gain early access to announcements and previews during the event, which promises:

Presentations from Walt Disney Archives and Walt Disney Studios.
Exclusive sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes stories, and special guest appearances.
Interactive experiences and unique shopping opportunities.

Highlights from Destination D23 2023

The last Destination D23 in 2023 delivered several major t announcements for Walt Disney World, including:

Concepts for Encanto- and Indiana Jones-themed experiences at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
A reimagined Test Track at EPCOT, inspired by the original World of Motion.
Teasers for the largest expansion plans ever for Magic Kingdom, with new lands beyond Big Thunder Mountain.

I have a hotel reservation, but whether we go or not is still up in the air. We were looking at September, to do our Epic Universe trip, so this would time out with that. I haven't been to a Destination event since 2014, and have been kinda interested in going back.

Reminder: Destination D23 is normally about panels that everyone attends with very little announcement, mainly just updates on currently announced attractions. Destination D23 2023 was an outlier because the 2022 D23 (Bluesky year) the year before had very few proper announcements and they were making up for it. Don't expect any new major projects announced on the scale as this year's D23
