The 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival presented by CORKCICLE takes place at Walt Disney World August 29 through November 23, 2024.

This year's Food and Wine Festival is notably shorter than last years, which ran from July 27 through November 18 2023.

Here are the early details of what to look forward to at this year's festival.

Global Marketplaces

Returning favorites at the Global Marketplaces include Belgian Waffles with Berry Compote and Whipped Cream or Warm Chocolate Ganache at the Belgium Global Marketplace, Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce, at Germany, and The Alps will feature Dark Chocolate Fondue with Berries, Pound Cake, and Meringues.

Emile's Fromage Montage also returns in 2024. This food stroll encourages guests to sample a variety of delicious cheeses served in inventive ways. Purchase any five cheese dishes from the official Global Marketplaces list in your Festival Passport, and make sure to collect a stamp for each dish purchased. Once you've collected all five stamps, bring the passport to the specified location for a specialty unique item to enjoy.

Merchandise

Here is a sneak peek at some of the merchandise available during this year's festival.

CommuniCore Hall

New at this year's festival, CommuniCore Hall will open on June 10 in the heart of World Celebration.  Disney says that once the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival begins, the new space will add exciting fresh elements to the festival. Stay tuned for more.

Eat to the Beat Concerts

As evening falls, chart-topping musical acts and Orlando's top talent will take to the stage as part of the Eat to the Beat Concert Series presented by Florida Blue. Performances will take place nightly in the America Gardens Theatre. Eat to the Beat Dining Packages will also return, ensuring you get a seat for your favorite acts—more details to come.

Scavenger Hunts

Scavenger hunts return for 2024, and guests can purchase a map (while supplies last) for Remy's Ratatouille Hide & Squeak and search to find their favorite little chef hidden throughout World Showcase.

Was there this weekend and you’re right it’s terrible. Looks like my middle school cafe not even high school. Not sure why they don’t use that big pavilion by Canada

The Australia booth is finally in use - photo from today:

This article even though they labeled kids had some interesting comments and one of the images here has a person photo posing and I guess it shows you can hold something from the table not sure if you could or were you allowed to even do that. I'm surprised not one person was watching and beginning to think it's possible one ten year old suddenly disastered the thing and now articles are everywhere making kids the problem as reading this. https://www.fantasylandnews.com/2024/08/31/muppets-lab-photo-op-removed-in-less-than-72-hours-from-epcot-food-wine-after-kids-destroy-set-pieces/

I think we probably agree - in general I’m annoyed by parents not watching kids but I do think there is an expectation that things be a little more kid proof at Disney. I don’t really know what was on display and what got damaged in this situation so I’m not totally sure what to think.

Handled does not equal broken, and interactive queues are not the same thing as "lemme break off this glued-down show item" (e.g., the disgusting honey wall in WTP, or the nearly impossible to displace jewels in SWMT--everything in both those queues has been childproofed!). I still think that parents should keep an eye on their children in a queue and make sure they don't break stuff. We can agree to disagree on this. There's plenty adults break stuff at WDW, and that's a whole 'nother issue. I'll give you this one. If WDW is insisting that ECVs go through a standby queue, they should make dang sure that an ECV can navigate said queue. But if an adult is navigating Main Street on their ECV, they should drive it as though they were on a local road. ;)

It pulls on our nostalgic heart strings, and apparently they think that is enough...

Within reason though. There’s lots of things designed to be handled by people at Disney world - the interactive elements at mansion, Snow White, Winnie the Pooh, etc. I’ve certainly seen parents ignore kids to an unreasonable amount, but Disney should expect kids are gonna touch things within reach. The worst damage I’ve seen an ECV do was in the standby line for Rise. It’s dim lighting, lots of people, and pretty narrow to navigate. They turned a corner too sharp and took out some of the decorative elements. It’s pretty understandable- they weren’t being reckless.

It's also annoying for non figment fans. They did the same with Epcot Forever merch which was my favorite nighttime show along Illumination's ROE but I didn't even buy anything simply because it was just a logo on purple figment!

It's really sad they pimp Figment out on all of their festival merchandise but refuse to give him proper representation with a top notch attraction.

Thank you. As a graduate of a state school, I have fondness for the pop up merchandise areas that are set up to capitalize on parent’s weekend. Wait, what is this again?

Andrew CSep 06, 2024

It continues to blow my mind. It’s obviously so bad, they can’t possibly be happy with this.

What a waste of space.

TiggerishSep 04, 2024

I was trying to figure out why it bothered me, and you nailed it! Why is WDW going for that vibe? 🤔 come on, children will grab things anywhere. It’s up to the parents to stop them. And ECVs are supposedly operated by adults, who should be able to avoid things. I’m actually literally shocked by some of the posts in this thread excusing anti-social (rude) behavior. No one should be laughing at it.
