2024 Magic Kingdom Holiday Decor and Christmas Tree
Posted: Monday November 4, 2024 7:00am ET by WDWMAGIC Staff

The 2024 holiday season is in full swing at Magic Kingdom, as the iconic Christmas tree and Main Street wreaths are now in position.

The massive Christmas tree now stands at the front of Main Street, U.S.A., complete with bright lights, classic ornaments, and garlands—signaling the start of the holiday season at Walt Disney World.

The tree towers above guests entering the park and is decorated with oversized ornaments, shiny tinsel, and colorful garlands, creating a festive entrance to the Magic Kingdom.

Main Street, U.S.A., is now fully decked out with holiday wreaths hanging from lampposts and buildings. Along with the Christmas Tree's arrival, holiday background music is now playing in the park and at the Transportation and Ticket Center.

In Adventureland, the Jungle Cruise has transformed into the "Jingle Cruise" with festive jokes, whimsical decorations, and plenty of holiday charm.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will begin on select nights from November 8 to December 20, with tickets priced between $169 and $219 per person. This Magic Kingdom holiday event offers holiday party tickets that provide access to festive entertainment and attractions. Guests can enjoy entertainment like Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show, and Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration castle stage show. The event also features complimentary cookies, cocoa, and holiday-themed attractions, along with special character meet-and-greets and festive dance parties that take place throughout the park. The exclusive event gives guests an opportunity to experience Magic Kingdom with shorter wait times for attractions and unique seasonal offerings.

Beginning November 12, Olaf takes the stage in the "Frozen Holiday Surprise" show, as Cinderella Castle is transformed into a shimmering, crystalized palace for the evening. The show features characters from Arendelle coming together to help create a castle that glows throughout the night.

Glad we booked Biergarten!

Diamond Horseshoe and Biergarten have full decor. And La Hacienda de San Angel has minimal decor but has at least wreaths. There might be more but there’s at least still some table service restaurants that decorate.

You know, looking back on it, Disney always had a sort of certain charm in the 70's and early 80's with its notable C List celebrities they'd get to appear in TV specials like this. And with the odd exception of Elton John, that is definitely a C List. But somehow, when it's actually happening, the C Listers of today aren't as charming at the time as they'll be 20 years from now. Also, I'm pretty sure a couple names on that guest list are going to be mentioned in the upcoming Sean Combs trial.

I looked at the 17th; but when I compare the cost for two of us to attend vs. the price of a Pixie Pass, it gives me pause. It’s just a few dollars less. We are going 12/16-12/18 and 12/24-12/26. The price of single day tickets to go on Christmas are also almost as much as a Pixie Pass, and you can’t buy tickets for Christmas and then apply them to an AP upgrade that would black out Christmas. So it’s looking like a Disney Springs or resort holiday unless I break down at the last minute.

What’s baffling to me is this bothering you. You act like it’s important. It’s trivial. Now you’re getting it.

It doesn't seem like Disney is decorating any F&B locations anymore. I have noticed that all decor has returned to Merchandise locations though.

It's funny that after Disney left to create their own cruise line Warner Bros took over the Big Red Boat..

The first "Disney Cruise Line", Premier Cruise Line. I did a high school senior cruise with them from Port Canaveral to Nassau and back.

Seth still gets paid by Disney for Family Guy (and American Dad too - since Disney produces both). And technically The Orville isn'r dead 100% either... It is a sad guest list though, that I agree.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say Jollywood nights has not sold out since the first night.
