With the 2025 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival set to begin on March 5, crews have started early preparations around the park.

Along the walkway between World Celebration and World Showcase, crews are working on setting up the festival’s playground area. This space, located under the shade canopy in the flex area, is a popular stop for families during the festival.

Butterfly Garden Near The Land Pavilion

Near The Land Pavilion, work is underway on assembling the butterfly garden enclosure. This annual feature is a guest favorite, offering a close-up look at butterflies in a lush, plant-filled environment.

More Festival Preparations to Come

These early installations mark the beginning of a park-wide transformation that will include topiary displays, garden exhibits, and festival marketplaces.

Sunshine seasons used to be better than many table service restaurants. The roasted beet salad was crazy good and they had the oak fired rotisserie or whatever for the chicken and salmon. Even the grab and go and dessert options used to be high quality.

I remember when sunshine seasons was the best place to eat at Epcot well for a vegetarian anyway my go-to was always the grilled cheese and tomato soup but they used to have lots of nice fresh options gave me a subway kinda feeling

It's almost like they designed this particular pavilion to have a logical guest traffic flow, starting with the theater show, then LwtL, then Kitchen Kabaret, then the food offerings. Strange... 🤔 Sunshine Seasons is woefully underutilized. Only TDO knows why.

I don’t get it. I used to love Sunshine Seasons (and it used to--on theme—showcase lots of fresh ingredients and high quality salads). They opened Connections and act like that’s enough for the entire front of the park, where almost all of the rides are. Ever been to Connections on a rainy summer late afternoon? It gets slammed. I miss being able to spend several hours in The Land on a rainy day between its two rides, show, and good food. I am not sure why they have worked to lessen the amount of time we spend in all of these enormous pavilions that were built the way they are because of Florida weather.

Honestly, Sunshine Seasons seems to have become an afterthought and I have no idea why. The breakfast offering is one hot item with a bunch of premade pastries, and the lunch/“dinner” menu is pretty limited. For a space designed, and formerly used, for much more it’s appallingly limited these days.

I enjoyed the nonexistent waits for rides! They could at least open up Sunshine Seasons for dinner in the summer, though. Options were lacking by dinner time.

While I don't want Epcot open 365 days with a Festival, Diet Epcot is a bit rough for my taste. I'm sure the table service restaurants enjoy the lack of booths for a change.
