Yes, his appearance is an artist signing at the Disney Fine Art display inside Communicore Hall this weekend. Don’t forget to wish him a happy birthday! 🙂 -

I am so sad to miss Tony. That would be wonderful. (Yay Pixie Pass...) I got to pop into ARTS last night. Interesting mix: -The art this year was great. Seemed like more artists this year. (Not sure if that's actually true or just the feeling.) Lots more "characters in the parks" stuff vs just characters merch. That was nice to see - especially the Epcot-focused art. -The Broadway showcase is a much better use of CommuniCore Hall. It's still very lackluster as a space and set up. But, this was definitely a step in the right direction. -The food was hit or miss. A lot of returning dishes didn't have the punch as before, and the prep wasn't great on a lot of things. (The cast is still engaged and creating a fun environment regardless.) Not sure if this is budget cut or just a bad set, but I noticed it for several "best of the fest" dishes and something I noticed at F&W and Holidays, too. The continued high prices also impact this for what you get. -The crowd seemed to be enjoying themselves. I was surprised by the volume of people leaving and entering throughout the evening. Most parking lot zones were used, though with a lot of open spaces. So, it seems like people are coming and going through Epcot. Again, this is a trend I've noticed this month vs. summer and fall 2024. It will be interesting to see if it continues.

As President and Charter Member of the Tony Baxter Fan Club, it is my duty to inform those lucky fans who may be visiting Walt Disney World this weekend this delightful news - Disney Legend Tony Baxter will be attending Epcot’s Festival of the Arts this weekend ( February 1st and 2nd ). Visit him at Communicore Hall at the Disney Fine Art area on both Saturday and Sunday, between 12 and 2 pm, and again between 3 and 5 pm. ✨ Disney Fine Art recently released a print of his stunning Fantasyland inspired concept art titled ‘Tyrolean Fantasy’, as can be seen and purchased here - https://disneyfineart.com/products/tyrolean-fantasy?srsltid=AfmBOopsH3MLZNfVDZXBrDUsBWxbzGWEG-uaXNW-NUDFEoWniqnQHE2C Be sure to wish him a very happy birthday on Saturday the 1st! ✨🥳✨ -

Great tip with this app, thank you!

Not sure: on my phone it's just called WDW Food&Wine. Most of the interface is grey and the app icon is a cake slice and wine glass.

Are you referring to the Festival of Food app?

Have you tried the unofficial Food and Wine app? It creates a list for each festival as it comes out, includes pictures, let's you mark each item as something you want or have tried, and has a rating system so you can see what other people using the app think about each item. (It also has the handy feature of adding up how much your wishlist would cost for you.)

Can anyone recommend a (non-video) source for an overview/review/recommendations for Festival of the Arts? My go to blogger hasn’t made it out there yet and I don’t want to troll through YT looking for diamonds in the rough. Having said that, if there are no written blogs, I’ll take recs on YT as the least-bad video format.

Those were the days. The Arts festival at least still has artists working live (chalk art, live painting to music) as well as the display booths to visit, and the daily drawing classes. Food and Wine is now just the booths - granted more than other festivals -- but still a shell of its former self. (Know both have a nightly concert series so left that out of the compare)

I did a wine tasting in WoL. Was always something going on.

This is unfortunate. Some Guests can truly be slobs….but Custodial should be on top of this. -

Wow the world showcase was a mess tonight, never seen so much garbage everywhere and cast just literally stepping on it and ignoring it. Epcot on festival weekends are not a great time.

The 2017 F&W Festival Center at the WoL Pavilion had interactive demos, exhibitors, classes, food, and entertainment. It took a dilapidated abandoned building and made it interesting. Why does everything new have to be done to the minimum ?
