Here's a first look at the medals that await runners at the finish line of the 2024 Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World.

Taking place October 31 through November 3, 2024, participants will have the chance to run in events ranging from a 5K to a half marathon, each with its own unique Disney character and food-themed story. These races include opportunities to meet Disney Characters and enjoy themed snacks along the course.

The race lineup features a 5K inspired by the Swedish Chef from the Muppets, a 10K that brings Tiana's world to life, a half marathon hosted by Chef Remy and Linguini from Ratatouille, and a Two Course Challenge that combines the 10K and half marathon, hosted by Chef Mickey, with a special medal for finishers.

Following the races, a post-race party at EPCOT's International Food & Wine Festival offers participants a chance to experience the festival's offerings, select attractions, and special entertainment.

Is this a way to get the $80 buffets booked through “synergy”? 🤔

From what I can gather, no they have not. So we’ll see what they do! I do think it’d be cool to find a couple dogs similar to the characters for a reunion lot M&G.

Has Disney ever had a Lady and Tramp M&G before? Is it doable? Maybe Tony will be the character to meet??

My one request is that we have real doggos for Lady and the Tramp! They’d have to put them at reunion lot because everyone would be ignoring balloon ladies for pictures with them.

I would like a return to a Villains Wickedly Delicious theme with Hook, Cruella, Jafar. I would also like a return to the original Epcot, Chef Mickey, food around the world. Travel, Food. I am so nervous for the theme announcement. I am sure it'll be heavy with the IP. Let's see.

Themes to be released tomorrow. Any guesses or desires?

Getting that extra hour was always a huge plus. Was trying to figure out the theme based on the signage at the expo but no luck.

DST is the best reason to have it then. I got an extra hour of sleep when i was a runner and an extra hour of pay as a CM

I had overheard at Marathon Weekend that the decision might also have been runDisney wanting to move the event away from Daylight Savings Time. Not sure why, but it could be viable.

Halloween parties wouldn't effect the date since W&D doesn't run into MK (or anywhere near it). My guess is it had to do with spreading out crowds. They believed Halloween weekend would be incredibly busy and the next weekend would as well with Jersey week, so push it up one weekend when things aren't projected to be as bad to get people into hotel rooms.

Any guesses on the theme? Saw they had a sign at the expo but couldn’t gauge much from that.

With this years calendar in would expect the end to be the weekend of the 14th-16th.

Middle November typically is when F&W ends. I don’t believe we have official dates yet.
