Getting that extra hour was always a huge plus. Was trying to figure out the theme based on the signage at the expo but no luck.

DST is the best reason to have it then. I got an extra hour of sleep when i was a runner and an extra hour of pay as a CM

I had overheard at Marathon Weekend that the decision might also have been runDisney wanting to move the event away from Daylight Savings Time. Not sure why, but it could be viable.

Halloween parties wouldn't effect the date since W&D doesn't run into MK (or anywhere near it). My guess is it had to do with spreading out crowds. They believed Halloween weekend would be incredibly busy and the next weekend would as well with Jersey week, so push it up one weekend when things aren't projected to be as bad to get people into hotel rooms.

Any guesses on the theme? Saw they had a sign at the expo but couldn’t gauge much from that.

With this years calendar in would expect the end to be the weekend of the 14th-16th.

Middle November typically is when F&W ends. I don’t believe we have official dates yet.

F+W end date?

It's been the weekend after President's Day for a very long time...this is now a week after that, so it is a change.

Princess is just due to how the calendar fell really. Not a major shift. It’s always late February.

Christmas taping isn’t why.

Few things, the way the calendar fell, and park ops. The park ops team wanted no extra events that weekend due to the food and wine eat to the beat calendar.

Because of the calendar, that weekend is 3 weeks til Thanksgiving. So waiting another week puts it at 1.5 weeks to edit and produce. Of course I have no idea if this is why, but it may be tough to do both at the same time.

I thought the show was filmed later in the month.
