Tokyo Dining in EPCOT's Japan Pavilion will close today to begin a major multi-month refurbishment.

The Japanese table service restaurant, operated by Mitsukoshi, will close at the end of operations on November 19 2022.

No reopening date is available, but Disney says the location is expected to reopen in the summer of 2023. There are no details yet about what changes will be made.

Nearby Takumi-Tei, also operated by Mitsukoshi, will reopen on November 23, 2022 at EPCOT's Japan Pavilion.

The walk up bar at the entrance between the new place and Tepan Edo had a black scrim around it last night. Are they already axing the concept?

Anyone else think a "lengthy" refurb means Summer 2023 is impossible? Either "lengthy" or "Summer 2023" is likely a big lie.

I feel like "lengthy" is the only kind of refurbishment WDW knows how to do anymore. ;)
