Disney has revealed that a new lounge inspired by the iconic Spaceship Earth will open its doors at EPCOT just before summer 2025 in late Spring.

Located in the former corporate lounge overlooking World Celebration, the new space will be inspired by the geometric sphere.

Disney says the zen space for families to gather and enjoy refreshments will be draped with rich textures and warm metallic tones, giving it a mysterious and elegant intimacy.

The best they can do is an 8oz bottle of water and a 1oz bag of pretzels. Anything more would harm the bottom line.

It’ll be interesting to see if the next version of SSE gets a sponsor. That company’s employees wouldn’t have a private lounge to enjoy, but maybe a front of the line pass to this one?

I've seen more places in the $10 million+ range than under it for sale, but I wasn't 100% sure if that was only because the bigger houses were on the market more often.

Yes but then there are HOA fees, mandatory purchases, Mickey mouse surcharges and fee fees.........

I believe the new Ft Wilderness DVC Camping Area will come in at just under that amount... (not including closing costs, enhanced experiences, and annual dues).

Can I set up my tent for $1.5m?

The last time homes in Golden Oak cost 1.5 million, I'm barely sure Obama was president. Average cost is probably five times that now minimum.

except when they're setting up for halloween and xmas... that happens in august and nov 1...

August 8 is “fall y’all” so gotta be by then!

Yep. People should remember that Disney tends to use meteorological seasons, since they are hard-and-fast definitions. "Early summer" means sometime after June 21, and what better time than just before the now-slow July 4 week to try and drum up business?

ToTBellHop15 hours ago

They just wanted to be clear that they don’t mean Memorial Day.

Without "unexpected delays", I'd personally expect around the July 4 holiday week, if I were the wagering kind.

Maybe buy a $1.5 million home in Golden Oak?
