I just moved to the Philly area and I am hoping to go to Morimoto for my birthday this year. The menu looks amazing.

We've also been to his spot in Napa and it was far superior to the one in Disney Springs as well. Like I said, the one here is hit or miss to me. Still, a good pot to go. We like sitting at the Sushi Bar & just hanging out with the cooks there with some adult beverages.

Yeah, Philly is his original and flag ship place.... I've never been... I went to his place in Napa and it was very good... Good service

Having lived and worked in Philly once for several years, Morimoto's there is light years better than the DS version. Not even close. I would even say the Sushi place in the Swan was better when he was training the staff there and supplying beer.

C'mon, Eddie - we all know you can buy and sell the rest of us several times over!

Eddie GarrisonOct 21, 2016

I don't believe you will be disappointed at either location. We have eaten at both of those several times and enjoy them every visit. Morimot's can be hit or miss (to me) it is very good. Homecoming Kitchen is great! We have never had a bad meal there since they have opened and dined there. Probably around 10 times or so now. Enjoy!

I've haven't been yet, but I'm excited to try.... I hope Morimoto's place is as good as his other locations... Same with Rick B... Disney needed new places in a big way for signature dining.

Good! Thanks :) Yeah. It can be a bit much at times with EVERYTHING there is to do here on property. I share your concerns as well. And it seems if they have those concerns or see a downward trend, they (Disney) seem to respond with price increases. Not every time. Though it has occurred. We'll see what happens over the holiday season and when Pandora, Star Wars, etc. are all running fully over the next say, three to five years.

No offense taken. I should have said "I wish I could....". I just short handed it too much. I'm glad people ARE enjoying DS. I like a lot of the new stuff and am concerned that Disney may have super saturated the market down there. Their philosophy seems to be way too much is just enough.....until it all crashes.

Eddie GarrisonOct 21, 2016

I didn't mean it like that. Sorry if it came across like that. My apologies. I wasn't trying to brag or anything like that. Again, sorry if it came off that way.

I can't afford to do Drinks and Apps at Disney Springs a couple times a week.

Eddie GarrisonOct 21, 2016

Probably not. Even when we go during the week there are a lot of people there. Not to the point of waiting to eat at any place. Still, there are a lot of people there eating, drinking, shopping. I'll reserve judgement until it is completed fully. Still some things that are no where close to being opened as well as some getting closer. As locals, we love it. We're there a few times a week. We do appetizer/drink hoping at our favourites & have a great time. Though I can see that it is probably not what Disney envisioned for visiting guests. To me, it really never was nothing more than a few restaurants and shopping to begin with. Even when Pleasure Island was there. I like the new offerings as far as bars and restaurants. Far better now than what it was before. My opinion of course :)

Disneyhead'71Oct 21, 2016

Seems that DS is struggling a bit.

Eddie GarrisonOct 21, 2016

I don't know. I think it depends on what you order. I (typically) drink Crown on the rocks and it tastes like Crown at The Hangar Bar, just like anywhere else :) Never been a fan of the "Specialty Drinks" at Disney or anywhere for that matter. Too many mixers, fruit, etc. to taste what I want to taste. Just my preference of course.
