Chef Guy Fieri and Robert Earl are joining forces to open a new fast-casual concept at Disney Springs - Chicken Guy!

Located alongside the Planet Hollywood Observatory, Chicken Guy! will feature one-of-a-kind all-natural fresh chicken tenders, hand-pounded to maximize crunch and paired with a wide selection of sauces. The tenders are brined in fresh lemon juice, pickle brine and buttermilk, and infused with fresh herbs.

The menu features the tenders—grilled or fried—in sandwiches, straight up on skewers, or in meal-sized salad bowls, and a wide array of sauces to enjoy with the chicken as well as sides like Guy Fieri’s fries, mac ‘n cheese, fried pickles and fresh slaw.

Chicken Guy! also has two Flavortown Frozen Treats, and for dessert a Triple Double Ice Cream Treat or the Cinnamon Apple.

“I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Guy—first with the launch of his sandwich and burger menu at Planet Hollywood. Since then, we have kept in touch, determined to work on more projects together,” said Planet Hollywood Founder and Chairman Robert Earl. “We have found the perfect venture with Chicken Guy!, certain to be a crowd-pleaser. I have personally tasted all the menu items and can’t wait to open at Disney Springs and across the country, because I know our guests will love what Guy has put on the menu.”

“I’m stoked to be building Chicken Guy! with my friend, Robert Earl,” said Fieri. “It’s all about the real deal, all-natural chicken but lemme tell you, our sauce game is on point."

The restaurant will include both indoor and outdoor seating, and specially developed packaging that will make carrying out and enjoying food on the go fun and easy.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Covid killed the Chicken-Guy-at-MOA plan. :( I want to say that the sauce selection at the Springs location in September 2022 was the original line-up, but unfortunately I cannot recall specifically if it was or not, nor do I have any pictures of the menus there from that trip. I wouldn't doubt at all if the sauces were already cut down by then.

I'm pretty sure with the pandemic and a lack of interested franchisees (plus Earl Enterprises surely taking a loss from the failure of ghost kitchens and revenue problems at several of their other physical restaurant concepts), we're not going to see a huge expansion in this chain like was planned. They've had less sauces at the DS location then they used to for a while now, swear it's been since at least the pandemic.

This will be a nice addition. The building face is in the path of undiluted sunlight for most of late morning-mid afternoon (peak lunch hours), and seating is so limited inside. Having some additional shade will be welcome for sure.

Hopefully it will be done in less than a decade. Woody's Lunchbox Year 5

Still unhappy that the announced location at Mall of America never opened. Also unhappy when I heard they cut down the number of sauces available at this DS location. I may see if we can eat there later this year when we're in the area.

Chicken Guy will be soon opening on 42th street in NYC between broadway and 6 Avenue. With FlavorTown several block away I found it funny they opening a Chicken Guy sharing a same wall with a third Jolibee building built on a former Chic-A-La site several doors away from a MC Donald.

I don't think of polite pig as quick service. It often takes forever and delivers to tables. It's also twice the price of chicken Guy. I've had the same issue with delux. Hideous wait times and 40 bucks for two burgers and some fries. I guess I'd add Earl of sandwich to the list too. Under $10 and fairly quick

That's unfortunate. Every time I've been the food was hot but the last time I was there was almost 3 years ago.

if you can get food that’s actually hot. It’s delicious but 3 out of 5 times I’ve eaten there I’ve been served cold food.

Polite Pig and Pizza Ponte are both more expensive, but the quality is also much higher to where I'd call them both better values. I actually thought D-luxe Burger was better than Chicken Guy as well. Not that Chicken Guy is bad -- I'd just choose to go for any of those three before I went to Chicken Guy. Chicken Guy has to be a great option for kids, though, especially since it's pretty cheap. Polite Pig is probably the best QS on Disney property, although it's priced accordingly.

It's not amazing, but I don't think there's anything that matches it for quality and price

This was my experience too. The chicken was fine but not anything special; I've had better elsewhere. There are much better QS options at Disney Springs. I think people like it for the large sauce selection more than anything else.

having finally tried chicken guy, i thought it was just ok. tenders were nice & crispy, but i guess i just expected more after all that i’ve read. wasn’t bad, but wont go out of the way for it.
