The Walt Disney World Railroad has a new entrance at its Frontierland station.

As part of the work taking place on Tiana's Bayou Adventure, the station is now using a new staircase entrance constructed at the left of the station.

The original entrance on the right side of the station is now behind construction walls.

It will be interesting to see if they keep Frontierland on the station. Wouldn’t be the first time a Frontierland station became New Orleans square! Haha.

The A Frame signs annoy the crap out of me. They're very easy to use because the sign shop can turn new inserts around very quickly (and more importantly, cheap) for time-sensitive situations, but they look God awful. They should really only be reserved for time sensitive situations where a proper sign cannot be manufactured in time or the situation is developing rapidly, like hurricanes. The 'train entrance' example is ridiculous; they can make a proper looking sign in mere days.

That's okay. They did the same during the Walt Disney World marathon. They were directing guests in the Magic Kingdom resorts with similar a-frames, to use the monorail for transportation to the event. The monorail picture was actually the Las Vegas monorail not the Walt Disney World monorail. :(. I'm not too offended by the a frame used for the trains sign pictured here. After all they've been using a Disneyland train for the Walt Disney World railroad poster for gosh knows how long.

This is a super minor detail to mention but that portable sign has a generic clip art train and just says “Train Entrance.” It’s the equivalent of putting up a generic elephant and saying “flying elephant ride over here” - (yes I exaggerated a bit ;). The sign itself is a minor concern- but is an example of the decline of little details that we all notice.

Is this going to be permanent or just temporary while they work on the closed off area?
