Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park will likely reopen on March 30, 2025. While Disney has not made an official announcement, updated operating hours released through March 31 suggest a possible reopening. Blizzard Beach, Disney’s currently operating water park, does not have hours listed beyond March 29, 2025.

This pattern aligns with Disney’s current strategy of operating only one water park at a time since reopening post-pandemic. Last year, Typhoon Lagoon reopened on March 17, 2024, the same day Blizzard Beach closed for its seasonal downtime. A similar transition appears to be on the horizon for 2025.

Typhoon Lagoon is known for its signature wave pool, lazy river, and themed slides like Miss Adventure Falls. Notably, water park admission is now included on the arrival day for Walt Disney World resort hotel guests, adding extra value to their stay. For now, all signs point to the park welcoming back guests by late March.

I will be dropping my water parks option at renewal. With one park open during most of the months they are comfortably usable they have gotten stale. Typhoons only great feature is the wave pool. I got in one visit where it was warm enough to blizzard last year and it's so much better. I thought with this water park perk for hotel guests we would get both this summer but I guess not.

I enjoy Blizzard Beach more than Typhoon Lagoon. I'm glad it's open a little longer, but really wish it didn't always get the short end of the stick. It would be great if my birthday fell on one of those perfect days where it's just cool enough that most people don't want to go but not cold enough they close it so it's practically deserted, but the odds are against me.
