TRON Lightcycle Run at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom set a new record today for the longest period of time that its Virtual Queue remained open.
The 7am drop closed at 8:21am, remaining open for just over 1 hour and 20 minutes. The Tuesday 7am average is around 5 minutes.
This marks the longest duration the 7am Virtual Queue window has ever been open for, outdoing the former record of 1 hour and 19 minutes set on April 25th, which was primarily attributed to a My Disney Experience outage.
Similarly, at EPCOT's Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, the Virtual Queue remains open for 2 hours 37 mins, significantly longer than the Tuesday 7am average of 20 minutes.
The approaching Hurricane Idalia is likely responsible for the lower demand today, which has also seen the pricing of Genie+ drop to recent lows. Magic Kingdom will also host Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tonight, which typically results in lower attendance at the park due to the 6pm closure.
As a reminder, there is no standby line at TRON Lightcycle Run. By joining the Virtual Queue, you get a time to return to TRON and join the physical line.
