Ditching the spinner in Adventureland can easily be solved

I agree the old version worked better... The spinner and the Aladdin theming just don't seem to fit... Maybe a miniland at DHS with an Aladdin flying carpet coaster....or put the miniland in the unused African pavilion area at EPCOT? It would be nice to see that part of Adventureland brought back to it's tropical island motif....

Agreed... though it's pretty much the Six Flags spinner (plus the associated thematic changes in that subsection of the land) that cause the problem. Before that, the transition between "old Adventureland" and Caribbean Plaza worked, I think.

Andy's new backyard is in the dessert. One of the biggest contradictions to it's premise. We should have gotten the next Gen of Honey I shrunk the Kids, but got Pop Century wonky scale without as much air conditioning.

shoot id say adventure land in MK is pretty terrible imo. You got jungle cruise...then it turns into a terrible aladdin themed 6 flags spinner...then to pirates.....its pretty bad imo

I mean what is your cut off of a "land" Commissary Lane at DHS and Performance Corridor are both quite rough considering neither has a ride or show.

New garbage cans now have a fold-out seat.

The size of Woody's seating as it was is ridiculous. They need to double it in size and entirely cover it much like they did with the slinky expanded queue. Also, no more standing tables. People want to sit and eat this isn't Epcot.

Is Toy Story Land the worst designed land in an American Disney park? Marvel Land in DCA has to give it a bit of competition and “new Frontierland” seems like a threat to claim the crown, but TSL is certainly up there.

It’s amazing how people just jump into these stories about shade. These spaces aren’t designed in a vacuum. They don’t find people in California, lock them in an office and just build whatever they spit out. With something like dining venue seating it’s even less at the whim of the designers as there are spreadsheets outlining how much seating should be provided and in what condition because there’s a cost associated with different conditions. The thing about simple shading is that it costs money, money that ops will spend later because they have to deal with the fallout. At a deeply fundamental level Toy Story Land is very poorly designed, but it’s not some cutesy story.

It’s not the west coast but “modern” issues. Bugs Land in DCA was lovely and very shady

🙄 Let me guess TSL was developed by west coast peeps! Epcot has the same thing.

It was like standing on the surface of the sun in August. The only place worse is the walk from AK front gate to the buses. Star Wars Land gets some decent shade maybe from the rock work and taller buildings but there’s nowhere in TS land to hide from the sun. Maybe they could add some shade structures and make them look like kites flying in the air.

I completely agree. The last time we were there was October last year and it was very hot and that place stood out because of the lack of shade.
