The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover has reopened this afternoon after more than a year-long closure.
The classic Magic Kingdom ride closed in the first week of March 2020 and did not reopen with the park's reopening in July 2020. The reopening date was pushed back numerous times during its refurbishment, and eventually took place at approximately 2pm on April 25 2021.
As expected, no changes have been to the show scenes or audio, although new seats have been installed. Social distancing is in effect, with guests held at the bottom of the moving speed ramp and released in groups to avoid bunching at the loading area. Typically 2 cars per 5 car train are being occupied.
The PeopleMover is planned to operate from park opening to park closure from Monday April 26 2021.
