New Zootopia show is coming to Tree of Life theater at Disney's Animal Kingdom

A new show based on "Zootopia" is being created for the Tree of Life theater at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

The current concept for the new "Zootopia" experience has guests visiting the different biomes you only glimpse in the film, traveling with Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and other characters.

Disney says that Imagineers are currently finalizing the concept, and more details will be coming in the future.

The new show will replace "It's Tough to Be a Bug," although no closures dates have yet been announced.

Writer/director of the new movie: Keep in mind people here think it has to be a police story with fursuits. Also, they don't realize that buildings in trees make sense in Zootopia. Look in the image above, and I might be able to find a better image....

Not a game changing amount but something. At least initially there could be more interest though and also result in more people waiting in line for the next show (or even show after that)

The concept art shows that Clawhauser will be the animatronic for this show.. Expect to see the version they have from Shanghai in his spot during the show..

Wouldn't be surprised if Zootopia is supposed to be opening Winter '25. I wouldn't be surprised if that means Bug closes after Christmas

right, it wouldn't be a "capacity" increase but it likely would be a "actual number of people who are experiencing this and thus not on line/doing something else" increase

Our trip a few weeks ago I made sure to see ITTBAB knowing it was going away. It was the first time my kids did it, first time for me in years They enjoyed ITTBAB but felt basically a "one and done" and they have much more excitement for Zootopia so should be a bit more of a draw and make it a higher priority use for LLMP
