A lot of activity is taking place at EPCOT this week as work continues on reimagining the popular Walt Disney World thrill ride Test Track.

Crews have already removed the canopy covering at the front of the pavilion as part of the entry structure's complete removal.

The Test Track sign has been removed from above the main entrance doors.

Finally, at the rear of the building, crews are bringing in large set pieces through the elevated access doors.

Disney has not yet announced a reopening date for the next-generation Test Track attraction, but best estimates suggest that it will be closed for at least a year.

In this piece of concept art for Test Track 3.0, we see the new entrance marquee revealing a more sleek arrival area.

Disney previously announced that Imagineers, along with teams from Chevrolet, are reaching back into history for inspiration – from the original World of Motion – and bringing that spirit of optimism to the next iteration of the Test Track attraction at EPCOT. We expect to hear more about Test Track 3.0 during this weekend's D23 event.

You can see the slots for lights in the canopy. Looks they've kept the same canopy design from the concept art so far...

Those with Chevy EVs now get to park in the postshow and charge inside for the day.

200 Epcot Center Dr is the address for the park, Test Track specifically is 1440 Avenue of the Stars.

The nice thing about reopening this around 8/1 is that if there are any technical difficulties, they can just claim there is inclement weather in the area and we will be none the wiser!

Saw this today on my car’s chargepoint app. IONNA is partly owned by GM. Looks like they may be adding some EV charging at Test Track. Maybe a demo?

I can't wait for the new Test Track 3.0 at Epcot because it's my favorite ride at Epcot!
