Changes to Star Wars Rise of the Resistance Queue For 2024 Disney Jollywood Nights

Disney's Hollywood Studios will change the Star Wars Rise of the Resistance queue process for the 2024 Disney Jollywood Nights event nights.

Last year, a virtual queue was used during Jollywood Nights, and this year, Star Wars Rise of the Resistance will feature a traditional standby line.

Notably, this means that partygoers in 2024 will not be limited to one visit to Star Wars Rise of the Resistance during the event, and the additional hour at this year's event means multiple rides are a real possibility.

For 2024, Disney Jollywood Nights takes place from 7:30 pm to 12:30 am. Ticketholders will be admitted to Disney's Hollywood Studios as early as 6:00 pm on the valid date of their ticket. These date-specific event tickets do not require an additional day theme park ticket or theme park reservation.

Not 100% OT so i apologies for slight hijacking, but this post got me thinking. Do you think it would be feasible to have anyone that has MK tickets on a day of a holiday party, be turned in to a special park hopper type ticket, that would allow you to park hop to another park, but only AFTER the time MK closes down for special ticketed event ticket holders? They wouldn't be true park hoppers so you likely wouldn't see a huge drag on park hopper ticket purchasing for this, but it would allow a guest who didn't know about the special event, or just didn't figure it into their schedule to enjoy a "full day" at WDW parks.

I still think this event should be a part of the standard holiday offerings. With MK closing early during holiday parties, DHS could have acted as the backup for holidays at WDW. I wouldn't mind if they offered some sort of "Holiday Tour Package" like at Universal that includes reserved seats and dining at restaurants during their holiday experiences. I'd imagine that can generate more revenue if they event ran 30-40 versus the 12 Jollywood nights. Pair that with revenue from the F&B locations, and it can generate lots of more interest, fan goodwill and attendance.

The first event only had minimal characters, then they added a bunch of random characters in Santa hats and scarves under duress. Now they’re taking that and making it even more hodgepodge

Didn't they sell out last year even with the disastrous first night? The skating show was added to Jollywood before tickets went on sale, so, I don't see the cause and effect that you're seeing.

They keep boasting all of these special characters, but it's pretty much characters you can meet anytime. Fineas and Ferb were "special" appearances for the H2O Glow party. The Pixar dance party lists characters you can meet any other day in Hollywood Studios. I wish they brought out actual unique characters, like the Alberto and Luca from the DL Pixarfest. That being said, the Kermit and Piggy show as well as the nightmare sing along sound like top notch entertainment. How was the Tip Top Club last year?

I was really hoping they'd add a bit more to this event in the vein of ride overlays. You have Rise, Smuggler's Run, Star Tours, Runaway Railway, and Toy Storia Mania that are all screen-based rides that should be able to be switched to a holiday theme fairly easy (I know there are costs to make the overlays). I was really hoping to hear they'd be having some holiday overlays for Jollywood this year.

Anyone else get the feeling tickets haven’t been selling that well?

I'm probably reading into this too much but in one of the photos posted on Instagram for jingle bell jingle bam it has large shell fireworks. Are they coming back this year or is it just an old photo for this.

Oh yeah, I grew up on that with a frozen vegetable medley mixed in. Hamburger cheese noodles, we called it.
