A camera has appeared mounted on the very top of Spaceship Earth at EPCOT.
The camera is located on the top of a metal pole, mounted directly on the top of the EPCOT icon. It isn't visible from areas close to Spaceship Earth, but from World Showcase and areas around Future World it is very noticeable.
It isn't clear if this is temporary or a permanent installation, or what its purpose is. Some possibilities include recording promotional footage for the upcoming Walt Disney World 50th celebrations, which includes Harmonious and the Points of Light on Spaceship Earth, part of the testing for Points of Light, a web cam for delivering a live stream of the park, or simply as a surveillance camera.
